Matt, I can't speak for everyone but I don't think the viewers of this show have any problem expressing how sincerely grateful WE are for you, for this program you do, and for the time you give to us. You watched Andy Sidaris's oeuvre so we don't have to. That alone is deserving of endless gratitude.
200 episodes in and WTTB is still going strong. Tona, Matt ,Craig and the cats ensure this is the comfiest show on all of youtube. Love you all stay safe and happy.
I remember my friend came over to my house and showed me a video of "Chad Vader: Day Shift Manager" that he had copied to his PSP and I thought it was the funniest thing I had ever seen. That was 14 years ago and I was only 16, at the time. I found BlameSociety again in 2010 thanks to Beer and Board Games and only learned later that it was run by the Chad Vader guys. It seems your brand of comedy appealed to me so much that I felt myself drawn to you in several different stages of my life. I think it's downright criminal that Welcome to the Basement isn't seen by more than a couple thousand people per video, but boy am I glad I'm one of them. I look forward to each episode and have even found some of my favorite movies, thanks to them. "The Ox-Bow Incident" and "Paint Your Wagon" are now sitting on my shelf. Matt and Craig, I love you guys and I love your show. I love BlameSociety and I love movies. When I get just a little tired of the pessimism of RedLetterMedia, I know you guys will always be there to brighten my day with something wholesome and comfortable. Your show is the fireplace and warm blanket I wind down with after a long couple weeks of stressful modern existence. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Here's to many more years of laughs.
Could not agree more that they NEED more viewers! More people should be experiencing these gems of humankind riffing on movies and making our days brighter.
And I think it's safe to say we're all grateful for you, Matt, and your idea to invite your friend Craig over to watch a movie you hadn't seen before, and to film yourselves doing it. Thanks, Matt, Craig, and Tona.
Matt, just finished the episode. Great stuff. Your ending statement is wonderful. I too have difficulty sharing my feelings with others. You guys are really an inspiration and I appreciate greatly what you provide for myself and all the other viewers. Thank you so much for what you do.
I've been a fan of Welcome To The Basement since the very beginning. It came along at the right time. My dad had just died of cancer and I wasn't doing so well. Your show helped so much, and I thank you for that
Matt, I met you and Aaron back in 2009 or so at Blog World Expo in Las Vegas. I was nervous as hell. Super Shooter and Chad Vader were two of the funniest things I remember ever watching in my life up until that point and they inspired me later on to shoot things and enjoy shooting things and having fun with it. I know meeting your fans in person can probably be a little weird at times, but I'm grateful you and Aaron are such cool people and you bring such energy and sincerity to the things you do for BlameSocietyFilms. Thank you for this show and all the rest of the shows and for inspiring me in my own creative endeavors (I recently released a short film I shot entirely in my apartment during quarantine!)
AH! I'm so excited to see you guys watching something I sent you! I have another big ol' package I've been waiting to send you guys, which I will do soon, but yay! I'm just so jazzed to see you guys watching and enjoying this film.
I hope you both know how overwhelmingly happy this show makes me. When I talk about my favourite TH-cam shows this always always comes up. Ive been watch welcome to the basement since its start and constant rewatch episodes between weeks. Thanks so so so so much guys- you guys really have created something really special.
I know a former coworker who has a boardroom size wooden table carved ornately all around and maybe 12 ornately carved high back chairs surrounding it. this table is only used for role playing and other table-top games. all around the room are figurine displays and other role-playing themed decorations such as swords and suits of armor
I am Turkish and yes we have figs here :D (and forests too) btw the first scenes are in Cappadocia which is where those strange rock formations and caves are. Its a pretty popular tourist destination plus medea was shot there
@@craigjohnson6423 my family is actually form there. There are hotels like the one in winter sleep where you can stay in cavey rooms like that. You guys should come by sometime. Do you like nbc's movies? You have never talked about him on the show.
I can confidently say that without Matt, Craig and Tona (this show essentially) my life would be lessened. I genuinely believe that these movies and conversations have opened not just my mind but my heart to interpreting art and life with a more open and critical eye. I want to thank you Matt and co for helping me grow.
I've been watching this show for the past 5 years, ever since I moved to the Netherlands to become an art student. My good friends and most of my meaningful connections gone and studying under a really heavy curriculum, you guys were what I was looking forward to every other Friday, and you were what seriously sparked my love for cinema, which has been influencing my work ever since! Thank you so much for this show, I never miss an episode!
I feel you on having difficulty expressing gratitude and sincerity, Matt. It was a treat to see you and Craig back in the basement together again, the two golden boys.
Love you guys. I've never loved a basement so much. I race to your videos quicker than anyone in my subscription feed. I hope you never stop, and it's lovely to see Craig back on the old leather couch. Thanks for keeping Ernesto in the outro xxx
Honestly it's a joy to watch the movies you find. I've been here since Chad Vader, but this show really hit home. My dad always buys movies but rarely gets through every new batch so he literally has a pile of dvd's and blu rays that he hasn't watched.I find a weird hope that one day we could watch the movies he has held onto for so long.
Wow, so many nice people leaving such nice comments, I wanna join in. It feels so weird to have followed something for so long. This show has gone for eight years and change, but in general it's been such a pleasure to follow this channel. I would guess that it's the first channel I subscribed to way back in the late noughties. From seeing the first Chad Vader to this video, I've been watching for over a decade, I love it, good stuff, thank you all. Nähdään seuraavassa videossa!
I'm grateful for this show, Matt. It is no exaggeration to say that you and Craig have helped to expand my film knowledge with your commentary. Your thoughts on Putney Swope and Tough Guys Dont Dance certainly entertained me, but the little things you guys say about what makes a good movie have enriched my viewing experiences. Thank you.
Hey Matt and Craig, I stumbled across your Buckaroo Banzai review a couple months back, and, since then, I've been hooked. You guys are some of my favorite critics on TH-cam. Keep up the good work!
Deepest gratitude to all three of you for keeping this fantastic show going, it is always a highlight of my week and it makes me so happy to see you together again! Thumb kisses all around!
When I saw the notification and saw you two wonderful people on the old leather couch together I gasped so deeply my mask nearly got sucked into my mouth!
Thank you so much for doing this show for all of these years! The three of you have created something very special with this. I've been rewatching a lot of WTTB and B&BG in recent months, and both have been very comforting in these turbulent times.
It feels good to see you together, "normality restored"...a little. Thanks for all the superlative analysis and commentary, please keep up the good work gents...and Tona too! Much love to you all.
Thank you so much for continuing to create the show through such trying times. As you said at the end of the episode, one day you will have to retire from film making and hosting - nevertheless I like to imagine a future of Welcome To the Basement with an ancient wizened Matt and a cyborg Craig, still making all of us viewers smile and laugh as we shelter in our underground bunkers from the toxic uninhabitable wasteland on the Earth's surface.

Thanks for the thumb kiss, guys! Deeds not words I guess! I enjoyed the movie up until the last half hour and then it all seemed to fall apart once they reached the island. Bad Star Wars rip offs turn me off. Congratulations on reaching 200 episodes. For the past year, I’ve been trying to watch the film before I watch you.guys talk about it. I remember reading somewhere that Yor the movie was actually supposed to be an episodic TV-movie series. I'm not sure where I read that, but it explains how separate and self contained each act seems to be. Also, love the trapeze scene where the actors are temporarily replaced with action figures. **cracks open a beer** Here's to another 200, boys!!
As a child, I saw this in the theater. Three times. I had to walk 2 miles to the theater because my bike had a flat...
Then I take back everything bad I have to say about it. I can't stay mad at a movie that a kid walked three times to see.

Happy 200th guys!
Silent Running ---yes, as soon as you said first sigh fi that's what I thought of too...
Some parts of Yor, towards the end, look like Reb is swinging out of the Yor set, and into the Space Mutiny set...
Those Tusken Raiders really are spread far and wide.
Ahh Reb Brown, the spooney one introduced me to his films 😂 keep up the good work guys! Love these Vids! Glad you 2 are back in the basement together.
Congrats on 200 episodes!!
The first sigh-fi is probably Tarkovsky's Solaris
Holy crap I requested this way back in season 1! Not sure if it's coincidence or if it made it on the list back then but I'll just pretend it was me ;)

I wish i could like a video multiple times
Nice one, Matt. Thanks for the show x
