Hi, your videos are AWESOME, but I am running into this issue exactly. I am converting a printer straight out of the box. Do I have to install the original software first...and then update with the chipless software?? I am indeed feeling like throwing it all OUT THE WINDOW! Help!
So I’m able to see and select my printer when I’m installing the firmware. My issue is when I’m activating and I insert my code on the activation screen. I get a message that says “communication failed. Please, check connection between printer and PC. Change USB port. Check network connection, make sure that proxy is not used and disable firewall. Try again later. -10060.”
I’ve disabled my firewall and my proxy. I’ve also used the 3 ports on my laptop and I still get the same error message. Do I need to follow the steps in this video and install a new driver?
They took off the printer driver option. Now the only option is the drivers and utilities combo package installer or remote print driver
1:55 Well Gee..... that would be nice if they'd say that in the instructions for the firmware update!! I've been trying to go chipless on an xp 640 and can see that there are glitches and different instructions on doing so and I would LOVE to get it to work without worrying that I'm really not updating the firmware and that I'd be buying an activation key for nothing.
I have the wf4730. Trying to go chipless everything seems to work and then it gets to the end and the printer turns off and back on and g goes right back to saying it can t read the cartridges, any ideas?
Why dont they have it for WF 7610? Do those not need it? I wonder Have they mislabeled its model on the website or if inkchip just doesnt offer for all models yet ..I heard they had this software for All epson wf models..did i get the wrong printer ? 😢

Can you PLEASE do a video for the activation error? Pleaseeee!!! I applied the firmware without a problem, but at the time of activation nothing happens, I get this one .rar file and when it opens its like a white and red box with random symbols at and it just force closes. I did upload a picture to their website on the forum as well. Thank you.

Everything was easy except for getting the email from inkchip with the activation code, it says 15mins but it's been 4 hrs and nothing yet

HELP!!!! I have downloaded the firmware and when I go to open the activation it will not let me put my code in says please wait for the update to be finished. I have tried shutting down both printer and laptop and trying again with no success. What am I doing wrong? How do I fix it?

@@crislobello3833 Has anyone figured out the solution to the firmware stopping at a certain percentage? I'm stuck at 84%.
As long as it says that the firmware downloaded on the bottom. You can force stop the task and it’ll still have the new firmware.
How do I know if the firmware is truly installed?
I have gone through all of the steps and have the recovery key information…but…the firmware version on my printer does not match the firmware version that I downloaded.
On the printer. In settings > firmware update. The the chipless firmware should be NW07k7.
Is there a solution for the WF 7820 chip replacement issue?? I hate wasting money buying the epson ink just for the chips

@@kierrawithak Make sure you don't update the 7820 firmware when using the 3rd party chips from HS. Once you do it will stop reading the chips. That's why we stopped carrying them. Good luck!

I’m converting a xp-15000 and my only issue is on the activation window it’s not recognizing my printer. Is there a fix for that?
Try restarting the computer. Sometimes that will make it show. If not, delete all printers from your computer, restart, then only install the xp15000 driver and see if that works.
Whats up man.. I have the Wf-2850 but what ink is compatible for it in sublimation

Any sublimation ink will work.

My printer is still not showing up after all the steps
Try a new cable. Or try installing on a different windows PC. Once the firmware is activated it will remain on the printer and you can use it on any computer.

Try restarting the pc and try again

I am struggling now I have the option to select USB but it fails to update at 14% and the printer doesn’t turn off or Change I’m not stuck
@@flockingfabulousdesigns7355 it took me all day but I got it to work, had to keep fuddling with the cord until the usb option popped up. After that I was in there
@@bradbump2591 so I started at 7:30 tonight finished at 10:30. I had to leave the original ink in the printer for it to allow the firmware to update. Then I activated the license. Once I did that I was able to take the original ink out and put in my refillable. But it took a lot of thinking lol

@DyamiteGorilla I followed all of theses steps but when I get to the activation pard my computer wont let me download it because it says couldn't download because it detects a
virus
Disable your antivirus before downloading and installing the activation software. When you run it, make sure you right click and run as administrator
@McZell Is it a chance I'll get a virus? I'd like to buy some of your product for the help so do you sell ink cartridges as well as ink that's compatible with my Epson WF-2850?
