Great video, many thanks for your hard work. I followed your step by step instructions with my XP-2100 and finally we are up and running. I couldn't do it without your help.
I have been messing with my printer for 2 weeks since an automatic software update. Thank you so very much for your help! This has been the only video that helped me fix it!
After everything is done and installed how do I get the maintenance error on the Epson xp15000 to stop showing that the ink cartridges need to be replaced?
I was on step 6 but everytime I try it says “the printer could not be updated.” On the screen of my printer it says maintenance error “cartridge is not installed.” I can’t click out or anything. Im just stuck there
Im going to assume this is the same steps to follow using chipless solutions firmware? i followed your original video and then accidently installed new firmware so i now have to go back and reinstall. this video is using a different chipless site so i just wanted to make sure im on the same page
OK, trying to install firmware i gety 14% i then get a message : the printer couild not be updated, i click retry it goes to 14% again, stops get same message in the bottom box in the number 6 it says update failed. i have key and i;ve yet to be able to get past this. my printer says preparing for firmware update. i cannot get pass this point, HELPPPPPPPPPPPP
I have followed step by step and it has been sitting on the "waiting on the printer to restart" for like 10 minutes now and the printer still hasnt restarted. Is there something I am needing to do?
i removed it from my PC and reinstalled the epson drivers and that so far seems to be working the screen on my printer itself has changed where as before it just showed the main screen. so far its looks like its working.
I got to where it says not to recognize the ink cartridges. I can't do anything except turn off the printer. do you have any idea what I can do thank you
thank you for your answer :) I do everything like you but I have no ink coming out. My sheets come out white from the printer.😅I’ll try to figure it out
@@mccuknowme9119 make sure that the vent plugs are removed if you're not running a CISS. If the system isn't vented, then it will create a vacuum and the ink won't flow out.
Using it on oem carts is risky as the printer will always say full and if you continue printing when the carts run out of ink you could introduce air in your print head which could damage it beyond repair or be a nightmare to clear out. Only use this firmware if you're refilling the carts or have a continuous ink system, NOTHING ELSE.
I have successfully updated the printer firmware to a chipless one. But the new chipless firmware does not support A3 format printing, the properties of the updated chipless driver only support A4 formats and smaller. What do you recommend for printing A3, A3+ formats? Where can I download the corresponding driver? I asked this question on the site's forum - but they don't answer.
Okay, if you haven't gotten the printer through initialization, by installing the OEM ink carts and you can't get the firmware to install: that's the issue. Rip the chips off the OEM ones, cut the top (with the protector affixed, facing up and both plugs in) nub off the chipless driver, use double sided sticky tape to hold it in there, (the sticker stuff not stuff you're gonna find at Staples), and if you do it right you should be able to get past the initialization screen and not have to clean the non dye sub ink out of the printer ink lines. No one's been able to give any help 😑 glad I figured it out 😅
Ordered your sublimation inks and cartridges. When will the ciss system be back in stock on your website? Thanks for this update, I'm waiting on my printer and inks to come. So I'll follow these instructions instead of the other previous video. Thanks again!
Hi, I’m getting a ‘used’ xp15000 in a few days which is already being used for dtf. When installing the Epson software on my PC should I install without the firmware so it doesn’t override the chipless firmware?
You are an absolute LIFE saver!! I followed these instructions to a T, the only issue I had running into was when inputting the code, it says it didn’t recognize it, but I restarted the activation app and did it again. Which of course worked! Thanks
I was having issues getting the Inkchip software installed. Your video was easy to follow and you did it at a speed that I could follow along. Thank you for that!
please help i followed you video to the T ok everything is installed the vent holds are clear with no pluges there is no ink coming out the printer is printing blank pages please help I just got this printer its the xp15000 thank you
When i turn the printer back on for activation i still have the ink warning flashing. Does that mean the firmware didnt take? Do i have to be in recovery mode when activating?
i keep getting air in my line even after I've pulled the air out. thru the cart. as soon as i put the cap back on i see air about 3 inch for the cart it seems when i put the cart back in and while lifting i can see the ink moving back to the tanks. help
Great video, thanks! If I installed the chipless firmware with my laptop, is it possible to connect another PC to the chipless printer? Or can I only use the laptop I used for the chipless firmware installation?
I downloaded the chipless firmware. After it was finished, I put my new ink cartridges in with my dtf ink and the printer is telling me to "insert ink cartridges" like they aren't there. Need help?
Not that I know of. You may be able to set up a VM and load it that way but I’m not sure. Or just borrow a windows laptop for the install and return it. Once the firmware is loaded to the printer, you can hook it back up to your Mac and print as you normally would.
You will be able to reactivate it using the activation program from inkchip . net. you will need your activation code. or Recovery code to re activate.
@McZell okay thank you. I do have the code so I just need to go to their website and put it in? No need to re-download anything? Do you think that is the reason it says my black is low?
I have followed your instructions to the letter, and everything went fine. but there is no ink coming out. it acts like its printing, but nothing is on the paper. any suggestions?
Make sure the vent holes are open. If you have both sets of plugs in your cartridges it will cause a vacuum and the ink won't come out. Only the fill hole should be plugged when the cartridges are in the printer.

My firmware will not go past 71%. I’ve tried this method and a few others and I can’t get it to go past 71%.

Question!! I just bought a converted epson xp -15000 printer. How do I know if it already has the firmware? Do I have to download it onto my laptop?
After firmware upgrade can you then use the printer with a Mac?
Yes
did you have to buy your activation key? I dont recall my printer coming with one new from amazon. If it did I no longer have it.

Do you prefer chipless solutions or inkchip? I'm not sure which one to get.
Can I send you my ex15k for you to fix?
Where is the best place to buy the CISS system and ink?
Hi can you please let me know if I can update the firmware on my printer after installing the chipless firmware? Thank you.
No. You will lose the chipless firmware.
Im wondering if this will fix the error code 031002 as it wont print even whne i can pull ink through the head.
Let it sit and dry out.. it's flooded.. I got that code a week ago.. and got rid of it. I turned off for a few days
