Since Neymar joined Puma, there's been significantly more attention on every new football boot they release. The timing of this deal seemed to line up perfectly for Neymar to jump straight into the Puma Ultra 1.1, but to everyone's surprise, he "chose" to wear the leather King Platinum! Why? Well we were lead to believe that he wanted leather football boots. Three weeks later, there's now a leather Ultra!
In today's video we take a closer look at the new kangaroo leather Puma Ultra 1.1, a heavily modified variation of the normal Ultra that offers a much more padded and softer feel on the ball. Looking wise, the king platinum is the sexiest, more elegant, prettiest boot since Vapor 3. It isn´t even a competition.

I've seen a few reviews of the regular Ultra where people's lace loops have broken already. That leather one might be a better buy even though it doesn't seem like a better boot.

If they had gone with a regular dual lacing system I would buy it in a heart beat but I've already seen problems with the lacing system they decided to go with.
It's crazy that they didn't catch the durability issues in wear testing. Really ruined what could have been a fantastic boot.
I’ve recently had a lace loop break after a stud tangle with another player, so I decided to drill a couple of 2-3mm holes in the problem area (1 either side of the thread gap), & to create a double lace hole. Doesn’t look too bad at all, if I don’t say so myself! 🤣

I think you should look into thickness and grip on each leather boot. I still feel like Nike tiempo elite IV were the top performing leather boot.

ik this is unrelated but which of these 3 boots do u think is the best the puma king platinum, tiempo legend 7 elite or the copa 20.1?
Objectively, the Legend 7 is the best performer. I don't care for the Copa 20.1, although they're still solid boots. Out of the three, I like the King Platinums the best. They're definitely the most simple and pure out of that bunch.

Does the weight make the difference? Ive never had non of them so I cant be that sure. I mean, do u think that Neymar needs puma ultra just because they're speed boots?? Neymar looks really good wearing Puma king
Weight definitely has an impact on the way the boots feel, although some are definitely more sensitive to the weight of their boots than others. You can find people that will argue for and against lighter boots. It must also be said that Neymar does not wear the retail version of the King Platinums. His have an entire different soleplate and heel construction, which would change the weight, likely making them heavier, at least that's my guess.
