Hello Foodies!! Welcome to Relish Dish 2050. All the ingredients in this channel are halal.
Ingredients:
Spinach 450 gm
Mushroom 8 oz
Shredded Cheese(cheddar + mozzarella) ¾ cup
Olive oil 2 Tbsp
Onion 1 cup
Garlic ¼ cup
Chili flakes 1 tsp
Black pepper 1 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Dried Parsley 1 Tbsp
Puff Pastry Sheet 2
Egg Wash:
Egg 1
Milk 1 tsp
Shredded cheese for sprinkle
Instruction
On medium heat sauté chopped garlic until slightly brown
Add chopped onion, chili flakes and black pepper and sauté for a couple of minutes and add salt.
Add fresh washed spinach, sauté a minute or so and add mushrooms .
If you are using frozen spinach, make sure it's completely thawed and well-drained.
Sauté them 5-6 until wilted, then remove the excess liquid
Let them cool off a bit.
Chop them
In a bowl, mix the spinach with your preferred cheese, usually people like to use ricotta.
I just want to use less cheese, which is why I prefer shredded cheese.
You can add extra spices and salt if necessary.
I’m using dried parsley.
On a floured surface, roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet into a large rectangle, about ¼ inch thick.
Cut the sheet into three pieces.
Evenly spread the spinach and cheese mixture over the puff pastry, leaving a small border
Brush some egg wash onto three sides.
The egg wash has milk in it.
Wrap the dough over the filling.
Seal the edges.
Fold the sealed dough.
Brush some egg wash on the top.
Make a swirl.
Place the swirls on the prepared baking sheet, spaced a little apart
Brush the egg wash lightly over each swirl for a golden, shiny finish
Sprinkle some shredded cheese
Bake it for 20 minutes at 400 F or 204 C(ap)
Let them cool slightly before serving
Here is your golden, flaky, and a light crunchy bite puff pastry with creamy, soft, and slightly moist filling.
