He has a couple great performances from being on Howard Stern Show and He said that John Lennon was his favorite artist as a kid. they are worth watching. great reaction thanks
Excellent choice, btw. I don't recall seeing anyone else react to this performance. One of my faves on youtube. It's a live performance in the late 80's- early 90's, so the sound quality isn't the greatest, yet he still sounds fantastic. Just so, so good.

At this young age, Chris was like a Ferrari, he didn't really run right until the rpm were revved up.
there were so much great singers in the 90th, tell me only 1 from today..
@@seelenwinter6662 th problem is Hollywood/music industry doesnt want people like th Rock/Hard Rock musicians from 70s - early 2000s b/c they're too hard to control, unlike Beyonce, Katy Perry, Gaga, u know shit music, or Rap about pimpin, dealing& killing. Th real music of substance 🤣
@@seelenwinter6662 try Dimash Kudaibergen
@@seelenwinter6662 I mean, the advent of autotune has enabled subpar singers to flood the airwaves, but search and you shall find. I'll give you a few examples, but do go forth and search. Saiki Atsumi (Band-Maid), Rami and R!N (Aldious).

Chris is immortal.!!!
Ken, please react to Chris Cornell "when I'm down" live at the troubadour. It is basically a jazz song. It will blow. You. Away. Literally leaves me in tears. And it's so far from his usual style yet it's still very him. Absolutely amazing. I think you'd dig it so much. Even if you just listen on your own.
If you get a minute, watch a video of "When I'm Down" by Natew101 on TH-cam. If you have another minute, check his version of Temple Of The Dog's "Say Hello To Heaven"..Just him and an acoustic guitar, his covers would make Chris proud.
GREATEST VOICE OF ALL TIME!!!
Such a beautiful voice, I'm still crushed by his loss. Seek help, you are not alone ❤
"....then you have no soul, you're dead inside, aaaaand I have no time for you." That might be my new go-to line. Subbed.
As an older Rocker Chris Cornell and others were considered "Alternative " media gave the title grudge music. Great reaction!
This is the second video of yours I watch, I loved them both. I've been a huge fan of his for decades, I still listen to his music; probably the only 57 year old who does.
Love your communication style and personality as you share your professional vocal coach perspective. Thank you. Chris Cornell was an icon to me. RIP
One of the best voices of rock in the last 30 years. Even John Elton called him the voice of rock at one point! His version of Nothing Compares to you is one of my absolutely favorite covers/songs of his! He was so talented he could sing the phone book and make it sound great!.
Agreed! Thanks for the comment.
@@amorodioamor4388I'm talking about "vocal coach" reactions and to THIS specific Live performance. The only other one I've seen do it was Beth Roars. (Forgot about that one) My point was usually they react to Hunger Strike or his cover of Nothing Compares To You. If there's been others, I haven't seen them. This specific performance is also a lot less common, even w/regular reaction channels. Regardless, it was a great choice.
thank you for accepting my request.
My pleasure!
The one performer I regret not seeing live… had the opportunity but passed it up and now I’m stuck having to watch TH-cam recordings of a Top 3 all time vocalist. 🤦♂️
I miss him sooo much!!! I grew up listening to Soundgarden. That voice will forever be a part of my soul 😊
Chris and Layne nuff said! RIP😢
We were trained as adolescents to decry Robert Plant as rocks greatest vocalist. Zeppelin was our church…until we discovered Soundgarden…some sports radio idiots recently were knocking around the greatest ‘US bands’ and stupidly uttered Springsteen, The Beach Boys, etc etc and I realized I had lived through the last great music generation in American history. Getting to see SG, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, and Alice and Chains, live, America’s Punk Rock movement (Robert Plants words) We were so so lucky
Gives me the chills every time. Probably 75th time I watched this performance lol
I watched your TOOL reaction and have been waiting for more. I don't watch anything else you post. But this? This I will watch. Chris Cornell is among the greatest vocalists ever. More TOOL please.
Thank you Donald Rodriguez so much for the feedback. I am committed to constant, never ending improvement and will try my best to implement your suggestions for future videos.
he is unbelievable
The thing with CC - among so many things - is that he didn't scream - he just had an awesome range and could shift in a way I have never heard - and I don't believe he had vocal lessons - just experiemented with what his voice could do.
Goosebumps every single time 🤯
Wonderful reaction - Chris Cornell was just magnificent. It would be interesting to hear your reaction comparing early and later performances to see differences.
Also check out Nothing But Thieves, they are a rock band but the lead singer is classically trained and his voice is a real treat. Stay safe :)
Thanks for the comment Nicola - I will try to get to Nothing but Thieves. Take care.
I heard it! Chris and everything he did was amazing. Such an amazing talent and a tragic loss for us....
This is one of the most enjoyable reaction I've seen in a while! 😄 Great job! Chris is a legend 🖤
Gotta hear "Hunger Strike", it's Chris Cornell with Eddie Vedder!! Great duet
And you are still to react to Lzzy Hale from Halestorm! "Uncomfortable" or "Break In (feat. Amy Lee)" for two completely different styles by them
Thanks Thomaz - I will check those out
This is lineup is PJ today, with Ed on songs like hunger strike but mostly Cornell on vocals.
@@KenLavigne
Oh please like you never heard hunger strike before give me a break
Tim Matthews I’m sure he knows. But then Cameron was far from a Pearl Jam member. Soundgarden barely got rolling yet.
hunger strike by chester and chris
Here are the most AMAZING Chris Cornell voice`s track ever. Please, the world needs a vocal coach reacting to this...
Soundgarden - Slaves & Bulldozers
Soundgarden - Beyond the Wheel
Soundgarden - Cold Bitch
Soundgarden - Birth Ritual
Soundgarden - Black Rain
This is my EXACT list. It'll peel the paint off the walls!
Missing "Room A Thousand Years Wide".
Otherwise yes.
I miss him and I never even knew him. I can't wait to meet him in the other realm.
Great Reaction... "no one sing like you anymore Chris"
So true
Such an amazing song, performance and even the react... Loves
I was at this show , front row. Went on to be part of their slave crew, when not singing in my own metal band. I humped A LOT of gear, played with lots of lights. I miss Andy and Chris so much. Thanks for your work. I subscribed
Thanks Jason for subscribing! wow - I am sure you have a few stories to tell, I hope you are still singing!
Sweet sunshower. Brings a tear every time
RIP Chris. And of course Eddie in the background :) Vocal Gods, both
I really thought I subbed already, Thanks for the reminder! Love the reactions.
