    Once you finish the forceful exhalation for a set you exhale all the breath out. Do you apply mula bandha and then inhale and hold, or inhale, apply mula bandha and then hold? You did it both ways in the video

    • @TheSchoolofBreath
      @TheSchoolofBreath  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      Yes my friend. Very good insight. You can hold the mula Banda both ways on inhale and exhale and they have different benefits.

    • @TheSchoolofBreath
      @TheSchoolofBreath  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      It's easier to hold the lock on inhale than Exhale so if you're a beginner please start with an inhale lock. Sending much blessings, cheers Abhi 🙏

    • @buildyourownhuman
      @buildyourownhuman 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      Advanced practice would place bandha either during the exhale or continuously holding. It also moves away from external structures (perineum) as the lock is completely internal, using force (squeezing or lifting the Anus and perineum) actually inhibits the true lock.
      It's also important to note that mula bandha is higher up in women than in men. It's at the base of the cervix for women.

      @@buildyourownhuman I found out exactly what you mean today. I stopped forcing it and gently applied it at pereneum area, and felt it. Even underneath the navel started sucking in slightly. I used to forcefully contract the Anus, genitals and stomach. I think I have gotten even further in my practice! Beautiful.

    This guy is amazing. He actually speaks as if he is in the room with just you. So I was a meth addict for many years. In & out of prison and always on parole or probation. Haven't been to prison in some time now but Very recently, I stopped using methamphetamine. I found a channel called "breathe with Sandy." Ive done his videos over 300 times. I owe that gentleman my life but doing his content that many times, I found I was starting to hit a "wall" within my growth. Therefore, just today i went off my usual routine & found this channel. quite invigorating to say the least. Your techniques are flawless and content is absolutely amazing. Thank you my good sir

    I used to perform this pranayama first. Next I would perform alternate nostril breathing. Finally, I would finish with the bhastrika, or bellows breath, with all three locks at the end. You can literally make yourself feel high naturally doing this in the morning when the sun comes up where the air is fresh like at a park where there are plenty of trees and grass.

    The only thing I do differently is after the pump. I take a deep breath then hold it. After that I slowly release the breath feeling ton of energy. Images and geomatic light patterns appear with bright color with my eyes close. Why does no one talk about this that teaches the breath of fire.

    For the women watching this, the root lock is in a different location, using the perinuem and anus will not give full benefits. Feel for the area that lifts the cervix, or find a properly trained teacher - 98% of mula bandha instruction is incorrect - especially for women.
    For men its actually above the perineum, and using the perineum is only a reference before you gain internal control. Eventually (maybe a week or two of daily practice) you should be able to completely relax all external muscles while engaging.

      Pranayama breathing will help you in every area of your health and energy. About 12 years ago.i did a breathing exercise similar to this one , for perhaps a month. After that I tapered my practice down to zeroThat time , I only knew about Pranayama breathing
      What i did was not pranayama breathing but ""home made " my kundalini immediately woke up , and i started to get out of my body at night. ...in my angelic self ,complete with massive wings of light.
      Or. I would be a massive orb of white light. It lasted many years I visited all the dimensions including Hell the new Earth .
      Also, my religious beliefs were wiped out.
      Then , my physical body emitted light
      Like a Iight bulb twice only.
      After some years these phenomena dissipated ,bc i had stopped this breathing exercises. At that time , I actually did not know what was causing these physical glitches until I read this article.

      Thank you for sharing your thoughts Michael. We appreciate your honesty and skepticism. While we understand that some of our audience, like yourself, prefer clear, logical explanations based on scientific evidence, others find value in the esoteric experiential language and traditional concepts that have been passed down through generations which often speaks to the subjective experiences of individuals practicing these techniques, which, while not always easily quantifiable, are significant to many.
      Our goal is to bridge these perspectives, offering content that is both scientifically grounded and respectful of the rich traditions from which these practices originate.
