As an Italian I must say nobody ever managed to make a good away shirt for our nation except from the Renaissance-inspired ones (the green one is probably my all time favourite). That being said, this one is so horrible it looks like it came out from Captain Tsubasa but in a bad way.
Why is even Puma making Italy shirts? There's so many shirt makers in Italy like Kappa, Legea, Macron and Diadora to name a few.

While it will make sense for a national team to wear a home brand (Italy kits were made by Kappa and Diadora at some point; same with England and Umbro and Japan with Asics), they're probably not able to pay the same sponsorship deals as Adidas, Nike or Puma. It's all business unfortunately

I disagree. The Portugal shirt looks like a generic Nike shirt for which they can ask 40 bucks. The Swiss ones look like those knockoffs that sell for 10 bucks at most

I think Adidas nailed their kits this season. Nike has been lazy in their design and Puma has these away shirts that look like photocopies of each other but with the memo "You can copy my assignment but make it look different"

People ironically began priting it on their thermos (which if you know anything bout Urguay you know thermos are part of our daily life), on their surfboards (because our President is a surfer), on their football shinguards (beacuse yeah, the WC), on their refrigerators as calandar pages (because it looks like a calendar page), etc all to prove Puma how easy it is to replicate such simple design. Speaking of which, some claimed it looked like a calendar page so people have been copying the design to make calendars about horrible events. IE how many days without car pooped by birds, how many dates before tooth extraction, etc.
