As someone said here as well, the other upper staff members were just as stellar as the players (specially that woman that was chief of operations, can't remember), so that was another big blow in terms of the higher management.

I don't think he realises that signing players to long contracts in football is such a big gamble that it could cripple a club. The average length of a football contract is 3-5 years for a reason and it's because situations can change in an instant. (A bad injury, unexpected illness & trouble with the law to name a few.)

Todd Boehly is certainly a new type of bad American owner. Unlike Stan Kronke who just neglects his club and doesn't care, Todd Boehly clearly cares and tries to get involved in the club as much as possible. But the thing is, he's very ignorant and overestimates his knowledge of football.
He has no knowledge at all. Clearly he just listens to what English media which is further proven by Lampard appointment. Maybe he is also trying to win them over as well after he has been criticised but I think it’s more the fact that he is trying to learn on the job and sees the media and pundits as a way to do that. When they were saying that Chelsea needed a whole new squad, he really took that literally lol. The right thing to do would to add 3 or 4 players every window to let them settle but he went the wrong way and is now reaping the consequences
