Another great video. Really nice flounder! I’m hoping to get a kayak by November and try this out! I was at Pitt Street Bridge Pier a couple of days ago and had a doormat flounder; however, left my pier net at home this morning & thought I’d be ok 🤣 tried to pull it up and line broke. Really like the drone footage you provide as well. Keep up with the great fishing content!
Hey, I appreciate the comment man! Sey your line broke man. Flounder are notorious for spotting the hook as well. I make sure to bet them more than other fish, but especially eater sized ones. They have that rapid head shake that’s more like a shiver, and softer mouths than some of the other fish.
The mast (front center) gets in the way making it difficult to move your rod from each side of the boat to the other. You could probably work around it. However, on my first hook set it was in the way, so I took it down.
I was out there 9 hours….. 🥵 I tried with the sun shade on kayak but it go in the way on first hooks set…. Decided on my stupid looking sun hat that actually really helps. Thanks for watching !

Thank you! Man the heat is tough…. The wide brim hat works well. It looks dumb but it shades most of my body.
