i was down there Friday on my kayak and i got my 1st flounder and also a boat showed up and they caught 6 or so over slots it was wild and i need to come back for some more good fishing. awesome video keep it up!
If your confident with lures you can never go wrong with the lure I’m using 3” paddle tail on a light jig head. Otherwise mud minnows or shrimp. Bring two rods, one Carolina rig and one with a cork float rig. I use this 2 pole passive / active rod strategy in this video th-cam.com/video/D9QvUSALQn4/w-d-xo.html
I release some and keep some. Usually keep them sparingly, the inshore fish are subadult and I want as many as possible to reach the breeding age. The slot is 15-23” so the big one was over slot.
Yeah I’ve heard that and I don’t think I’d make it a habit. I have mixed feelings about it…. There is so much water coming in and out of that creek every 12 hours idk.
I actually have a captains license and have chartered before but right now I’m not. For kayak fishing, I highly recommend Chris Tweedy @ carolinatopwater.com out of a boat I recommend Capt Gates Roll @ www.follybeachfishingtrips.com
Great video as always! Had a blast fishing with ya and can’t wait for all the awesome content to come in the near future!
Thanks buddy! Always a good time fishing w/ ya
Beautiful conditions!
I braved Shem this morning on the incoming with the outgoing wind!
Yeah we had amazing conditions! Today looked nasty but Shem is about the only place I can go inshore on such a day.
@@CurrentAngling plan last night was to launch at remleys and fish the docks and grass lines down to the bridge 😂
@@matthewb7589 sounds like a good pivot

Question: Is it normal to catch and release the reds in this area? We always kept the legal ones.

What St. Croix rod are you using in this video? I’d love to see some rod reviews

John loves em. I’m a Zman guy myself.
You feel comfortable eating fish out of Shem creek? I know a few people that won’t because of consistent bacteria levels in the water there

Do you hire out to guide?
