- Venturing up the reeks on the ICW sure paid off on this trip! It was nonstop action right from the first cast. The redfish were holding close to structure and mud flats as the sun came up and warmed the water closer to the banks. All fish were caught on Z-Man kicker crabz and salty ned shrimpz. An Eye Strike 1/8 oz Texas eye jig head was used as well.

I live in Florida but come up to Charleston twice a year for the redfish. One of my favorite places
That's great. We have a really good redfish fishery up here. I
@@SCFishTales yes y’all do
Looked like Redfish fever out there and some good trout for dinner, nothing beats fresh 😋 fish for dinner, you are the slayer! Keep them coming Kev,boat looks great 👍
It was just one of those days where there was a bite on nearly every cast!
Man. You are a beast. Great video 🤙🏿
Thanks and thanks for watching!
Love the Kicker 🦀!! My new fav 🙌
Yes! Easy to use and just a slow, steady retrieve.
I was just wondering if you ever fished for Whiting of the Jetties or in the harbor ... and if you would be so kind as to do a How to catch whiting show ..... please
I've only targeted whiting while surf fishing. Small #1 hook with small piece of cut shrimp and/or fish bites.
Nice day! Trout on plate… yum yum
Oh yeah baby!
My guess would be a lane snapper. Used to catch them all the time back in the keys. I’ve accidentally caught one of those and a small mangrove snapper in my cast net up in the Charleston creeks. I was shocked
Yeah ok. Had someone else on here think it was that too. I was totally shocked to reel it in way up inshore like that.
Gonna be out next the icw and price inlet wednesday..... gonna try the kicker crabz I got today and a jerk shad tandem rig that I have been dying to try since the fall..... finally got some time off work to go..... that did look like a juvie ASR......
Yeah man, get out there! Hoping the fish will be biting this week. Hoping to get out there one day this week myself.
Markings kind of looked like a lane snapper
Yes, they do. I looks like a few different types of snapper species when they are young. Can't figure it out.
Just moved to sc last aug. I just got my fishing license and am an amateur for anything other than pond fishing and small lakes. Love your videos. Are all your poles braid with a leader?
Welcome to the state! You will love it once you get the hang of it. Yes, I use braid and a fluorocarbon leader every time.
Looks like the newer Zman crab bait works pretty good. Would like to try it!😊
Yes, I think you would like it. Very easy to use.
How deep is the water you are fishing in?
On this day I was fishing in 3-6 foot of water.
Moved to SC and trying to learn the inshore game. Great videos. Are you from Philly area? Accent sounds just like where I grew up (Ridley).
@rickfinsterbusch3258 haha. Yeah, I'm from South Jersey, went to Lehigh. Go Birds! 🦅
My dad went to Lafayette!!
Nice! Big rivals.
