I have been running my printer almost every day for the past 11 months. Today was the first time I have had to replace my tube. Thanks for the video. This made it nice and simple. I wanted to make sure I didnt break any thing. Having to wait for a new part is to much down time.

This video is great. Please do more videos on regular maintenance that I should be checking on my Prusa i3.

Using needle nose pliers to tighten the nozzle makes me cringe...

You're so right. I only use noodle nose pliers to tighten the strudel.

did you buy the ptfe liner for the heat sink at that size already or did you cut it? I'm trying to find the correct size for my own monoprice mini v2.

The two screws in the extruder cover have been removed, but the cover does not come off! How can I get the cover off as shown in you video?

Pulling out the Teflon tube with pliers destroys the tube. This step can be done by hand if the Teflon tube is not burned.

what are the dimensions of the teflon tube? Would like to pick some up locally if possible.

3mm outer, 2mm inner. I picked up 1m of it off eBay. Solve the problem for a very long time.
I also picked up a meter of 4mm outer, 2mm inner for my Bowden extruder.

I finally bit the bullet and took mine apart yesterday to do some investigative surgery and actually found that it was 4mm OD PTFE tubing in my Lite6, not 3mm. I will use some Bowden tube like you describe for mine. Thanks though

All my jams tend to be from the filament expanding before the extruder. I am currently only using one fan to cool both the extruder and the area below it through a split duct... If I turn off the fan, within a minute or two it jams. the fix is very easy. but the print will have to be restarted.

i love the mk2 but why did you guys decide on using teflon tubing rather then just going for a full metal heat break? That way you never have to worry about a burned teflon tube.

Do I need to heat up the printer to remove nozzle ? I’m having difficulty unscrewing the nozzle.

My hair raised when I saw how you use your pliers. Please, put them in the drawer and use adequate tools!
