Many were eaten by sharks. They were eventually way longer than they should have been since the delivery of the bomb component was top secret so nobody knew they were even out there much less anyone to save them.

100% agree about going to the future than the past. I’ve already lived there, I’ve experienced it, I can read about it, I can talk to people older than me, etc. With the future, NO ONE KNOWS what can happen. I would love to see how far we come and I would probably cry for the entire hour. Whether it’s a happy or sad cry, that’s for us to decide.

I'm scared of heights too, BUT I also went skydiving. It is a TOTALLY different feeling. It doesn't feel like a height. It doesn't feel like falling. It is so incredibly beautiful that you can't even process it. It's more like the ground is getting bigger. It's hard to explain. FYI, I also got super nauseous about five minutes after landing as well as a bruised tailbone. I still definitely reccomend it.

The ship you’re talking about around 7:50 or so was the U.S.S Indianapolis. It delivered the Bomb dropped at Hiroshima. It was struck twice. Once at the bow and the second hit around the fuel reserves and powder magazine by the Japanese submarine I-58. Around 800 of the 1,200 men on the ship made it off before it sunk. Of those 800 only 317 survived the four shark filled days floundering in the Pacific Ocean. The mission was rated top secret because it would turn the tide of the war. The United States Navy has no idea they’d been sunk because no communication was supposed to be going in or out of the ship. They were spotted on accident by a pilot doing reconnaissance.

Though I have some fun facts to share about the USS Indianapolis. 1: I'm going to provide a little backdrop to this information so it makes a little more sense: after she delivered the parts to Tinian, she made a stop at Guam to drop off crew members who had completed their tours of duty and picked up a new crew. They then headed toward Leyte in the Philippines to train her new crew before heading toward Okinawa to join Task Force 95. She was on her way to Leyte when she was hit by the torpedos. Here is where the fun fact is: Despite what you hear in Jaws, the Indianapolis sent out multiple distress calls before going under. Three shore stations picked up the signals, However, one of the base commanders was in a drunken stupor when the message was picked up, Another commander had ordered his men not to disturb him and was likely asleep (the sinking happened during the Midnight/early morning hours), and the other commander thought it was a trap set by the Japanese. Another sad but true fact is that Charles B. McVay III, the captain of the Indianapolis, was court martialed for not zig-zaging his ship. However, there was evidence that the navy itself had placed the ship in danger, and the court martialing was considered controversial. even further, Mochitsura Hasimoto, the commander of I-58 ( the submarine that sank the Indianapolis) was called up to testify, and stated that even if the ship had been zig-zaging, his sub was in such a position that the torpedos would have struck anyways. further more, some of the families of the men who died blamed McVay for their deaths, and sent him Hate mail and angry phone calls for it until he committed suicide in his front lawn with his navy revolver on November 6, 1968 at 70 years old. For decades his men tried to get him exonerated, until Hunter Scott, a student in Pensacola, Florida brought new attention to the Issue, and even Hasimoto once again stated that Zig-zaging would not have saved the Indianapolis. Hasimoto died on October 25, 2000. five days later, McVay was exonerated. I just hope someone out there found this as interesting as I did.

You should definitely go skydiving. I jumped from like 14,000 ft. in December and it was so frickin cool. You don't even feel like you're high up, it's almost like being really close to a movie theater screen showing the Earth while getting hit by wind. 10/10 would do it again and would recommend it, it's such an adrenaline rush
Jack! On the piano, guitar thing, you're actually wrong! I play both, my grandpa was a guitarrist and anthem composer and I was supposed to learn guitar because it goes on my family line and it was waaaay harder to learn than piano, which I have been playing since three :) Think about it this way: with a guitar, you need to have a determined posture, you have to press the metal strings really really hard and for a little kid with soft skin or a person with sensitive hands that's literally torture, especially if you try hard, you can even bleed and you definetely will have painful calluses after a month or so of practice. Piano tiles are soft and nice to your skin haha. Also, in a guitar, you can't look at what your fingers are doing (you're not supposed to) and even learning, you can't do it for too long if don't want to be a hunchback, when you're at the piano, there's nothing wrong with looking at your fingers and the tiles! Also, if you are a begginer in piano, you can start with easy songs that makes the two hands move in a very similar way so that you can learn progressively how to make completely different things with each one! With guitar, you can't. What you do with your right hand and your left hand will be completely different from the very start. Or maybe piano is just my personal favourite! Hope I added something just a little interesting. Sorry about my english tho!
I just think they're different. By the way, if you're finding it really painful to press on the strings, either you've not got enough calluses on your fingers (they do not take that long to develop) or you should REALLY get a nylon string. And who cares if you look at the frets if you'rs just learning! It becomes natural to not need to after practice regardless.
who says you're not supposed to watch your fingers? Watching great guitarists you always see them checking their hands if not even actively looking at them. And those people have played for years, even decades. Also you don't really have to press the string that hard. the closer to the fret you press the less you need to use force on it. There are some products out there to guard your fingers as well if you cant adapt to playing.
I didn't mean to be annoying or anything! I learnt the spanish guitar, which is supposed to be have hard strings, and my father always told me to not look at your fingers because then you'll hunch your back and slip the right thumb upwards, which is a wrong position. Most guitarrist look down when playing but I assure you they're not looking at their fingers. At least not the ones I know. And rock, jazz, R&B, soul guitarrist usually even close their eyes when playing.
konatafullbuster Don't worry, you're not being annoying :D I think it just comes with experince. If you need to watch your fingers it's ok imo. You're not supposed to know your way around the fret board immediately and it helps you get the feel. After playing for 2 years I rarely look at my fingers when playing, but when I'm learning something new or when playing something difficult I watch them. Also blues, jazz etc are such genres that you absolutely have to have played for long to be good. There's so much technique and feel to it, that you cant have it in less than like 5 years and more likely will in 20. Blues guitarists like B.B. King live through the guitar (although B.B is dead) and haven't needed looking in decades. Not looking when learning is just blocking you from creating a memory of what you're supposed to do.
That's actually really interesting that you found it easier learning guitar before you learned piano. I learned piano for about 6 years before I started playing guitar, and I am SO glad I did. I know so much more music theory and such than most people around me who started with guitar and now mess with piano (and some of them are VERY good). I had never heard of it being easier the other way around, but that's cool to hear of your experience!

I'm scared of heights too, BUT I also went skydiving. It is a TOTALLY different feeling. It doesn't feel like a height. It doesn't feel like falling. It is so incredibly beautiful that you can't even process it. It's more like the ground is getting bigger. It's hard to explain. FYI, I also got super nauseous about five minutes after landing as well as a bruised tailbone. I still definitely reccomend it.

The ship you’re talking about around 7:50 or so was the U.S.S Indianapolis. It delivered the Bomb dropped at Hiroshima. It was struck twice. Once at the bow and the second hit around the fuel reserves and powder magazine by the Japanese submarine I-58. Around 800 of the 1,200 men on the ship made it off before it sunk. Of those 800 only 317 survived the four shark filled days floundering in the Pacific Ocean. The mission was rated top secret because it would turn the tide of the war. The United States Navy has no idea they’d been sunk because no communication was supposed to be going in or out of the ship. They were spotted on accident by a pilot doing reconnaissance.

Just so we are all on the same page, the USS Indianapolis carried some of the parts and the enriched uranium of little boy to Tinian, where little boy was assembled and dropped on Hiroshima by the Enola Gay. Though I have some fun facts to share about the USS Indianapolis. 1: I'm going to provide a little backdrop to this information so it makes a little more sense: after she delivered the parts to Tinian, she made a stop at Guam to drop off crew members who had completed their tours of duty and picked up a new crew. They then headed toward Leyte in the Philippines to train her new crew before heading toward Okinawa to join Task Force 95. She was on her way to Leyte when she was hit by the torpedos. Here is where the fun fact is: Despite what you hear in Jaws, the Indianapolis sent out multiple distress calls before going under. Three shore stations picked up the signals, However, one of the base commanders was in a drunken stupor when the message was picked up, Another commander had ordered his men not to disturb him and was likely asleep (the sinking happened during the Midnight/early morning hours), and the other commander thought it was a trap set by the Japanese. Another sad but true fact is that Charles B. McVay III, the captain of the Indianapolis, was court martialed for not zig-zaging his ship. However, there was evidence that the navy itself had placed the ship in danger, and the court martialing was considered controversial. even further, Mochitsura Hasimoto, the commander of I-58 ( the submarine that sank the Indianapolis) was called up to testify, and stated that even if the ship had been zig-zaging, his sub was in such a position that the torpedos would have struck anyways. further more, some of the families of the men who died blamed McVay for their deaths, and sent him Hate mail and angry phone calls for it until he committed suicide in his front lawn with his navy revolver on November 6, 1968 at 70 years old. For decades his men tried to get him exonerated, until Hunter Scott, a student in Pensacola, Florida brought new attention to the Issue, and even Hasimoto once again stated that Zig-zaging would not have saved the Indianapolis. Hasimoto died on October 25, 2000. five days later, McVay was exonerated. I just hope someone out there found this as interesting as I did.

You should definitely go skydiving. I jumped from like 14,000 ft. in December and it was so frickin cool. You don't even feel like you're high up, it's almost like being really close to a movie theater screen showing the Earth while getting hit by wind. 10/10 would do it again and would recommend it, it's such an adrenaline rush

Jack! On the piano, guitar thing, you're actually wrong! I play both, my grandpa was a guitarrist and anthem composer and I was supposed to learn guitar because it goes on my family line and it was waaaay harder to learn than piano, which I have been playing since three :) Think about it this way: with a guitar, you need to have a determined posture, you have to press the metal strings really really hard and for a little kid with soft skin or a person with sensitive hands that's literally torture, especially if you try hard, you can even bleed and you definetely will have painful calluses after a month or so of practice. Piano tiles are soft and nice to your skin haha. Also, in a guitar, you can't look at what your fingers are doing (you're not supposed to) and even learning, you can't do it for too long if don't want to be a hunchback, when you're at the piano, there's nothing wrong with looking at your fingers and the tiles! Also, if you are a begginer in piano, you can start with easy songs that makes the two hands move in a very similar way so that you can learn progressively how to make completely different things with each one! With guitar, you can't. What you do with your right hand and your left hand will be completely different from the very start. Or maybe piano is just my personal favourite! Hope I added something just a little interesting. Sorry about my english tho!

By the way, if you're finding it really painful to press on the strings, either you've not got enough calluses on your fingers (they do not take that long to develop) or you should REALLY get a nylon string. And who cares if you look at the frets if you'rs just learning! It becomes natural to not need to after practice regardless.
who says you're not supposed to watch your fingers? Watching great guitarists you always see them checking their hands if not even actively looking at them. And those people have played for years, even decades. Also you don't really have to press the string that hard. the closer to the fret you press the less you need to use force on it. There are some products out there to guard your fingers as well if you cant adapt to playing.
I didn't mean to be annoying or anything! I learnt the spanish guitar, which is supposed to be have hard strings, and my father always told me to not look at your fingers because then you'll hunch your back and slip the right thumb upwards, which is a wrong position. Most guitarrist look down when playing but I assure you they're not looking at their fingers. At least not the ones I know. And rock, jazz, R&B, soul guitarrist usually even close their eyes when playing.
konatafullbuster Don't worry, you're not being annoying :D I think it just comes with experince. If you need to watch your fingers it's ok imo. You're not supposed to know your way around the fret board immediately and it helps you get the feel. After playing for 2 years I rarely look at my fingers when playing, but when I'm learning something new or when playing something difficult I watch them. Also blues, jazz etc are such genres that you absolutely have to have played for long to be good. There's so much technique and feel to it, that you cant have it in less than like 5 years and more likely will in 20. Blues guitarists like B.B. King live through the guitar (although B.B is dead) and haven't needed looking in decades. Not looking when learning is just blocking you from creating a memory of what you're supposed to do.
That's actually really interesting that you found it easier learning guitar before you learned piano. I learned piano for about 6 years before I started playing guitar, and I am SO glad I did. I know so much more music theory and such than most people around me who started with guitar and now mess with piano (and some of them are VERY good). I had never heard of it being easier the other way around, but that's cool to hear of your experience!
