The differences are very minor with only a few pixels changed. It wasn't covered in the video, but hidden behind the transparency in Ultimate's spirit picture is a partially cut off sprite from the same fan made sprite sheet.

That one was entirely fanmade as it's bigger than the overworld one but smaller than the battle one. The reason it was cut in half and hidden is because they took it from a Deviantart pic that showed all three sprites (overworld on the left, fanmade on the middle, battle on the right) and used the right part with the battle sprite (which for some reason had that extra helmet pixel on it).

This really brings to light how hard Sakurai worked to bring us this gem of a game and really makes me mad about how many people are still unhappy with this game. There's so much love, care, and effort put into this game.
I'm unhappy with this game for so many reasons. First, there's Ridley. I cannot be angrier that he was added to the roster. Next, the diminished single player mode; no Break the Targets, Home Run Contest, trophies, or Event Matches. Classic Mode is terrible and not worth playing at all. My three mains (DK, Dr. Mario and especially Pikachu) are all so much worse than they were in previous Smash games. I genuinely hate that dramatic zoom at the end of stock matches. Last but not least, putting Ridley in the roster was the worst mistake they could have possibly done. I put over 700 hours into each previous Smash Bros game. This one won't get 7 from me.

The Melee version wasn't my cup of tea (prefer the original 64 rap), didn't care for the Lanky and Chunky and ending verses in the Melee versions and like several petitions, it'll ultimately fail because your support won't convince them to alter the tune again. It didn't work before and it won't work now. The sooner you all realize that, the better.

So the third party playable characters alone you'd need to draw up nine of those contracts (even more if Ken and Richter aren't package deals with Ryu and Simon, and presuming no further third-party DLC fighters), and the entire thing falls apart if ONE of those falls through, at any point. And that's not even getting into anything he has to do within Nintendo, or for assist trophies. Crossovers are HARD.
@@EinDose They could just release fighters as DLC. God knows fans would be willing to pay for them (especially if they could complete the roster again), so that could offset the costs of negotiating for them every single time. In fact, Smash4 was pretty close to having a completed roster as is, especially once all its DLC was done with (it's just unfortunate that the 3DS version was holding it back, and I don't know what the hell was going on with Snake at the time). But yeah, I don't see every fighter being in the base game after this.
The toy used in the project plan (as seen in the video) were not Takara Tomy's Microman blank figures, but were S.H. Figuarts Body Kun figures. Using Figuarts makes sense for two reasons: Microman blank toys have been discontinued for for 15 years and the Figuarts toys are made by Bandai - it would make more sense for Bandai Namco to use their brand of Toys as opposed to a competitor's line of toys.

This really brings to light how hard Sakurai worked to bring us this gem of a game and really makes me mad about how many people are still unhappy with this game. There's so much love, care, and effort put into this game.
I'm unhappy with this game for so many reasons. First, there's Ridley. I cannot be angrier that he was added to the roster. Next, the diminished single player mode; no Break the Targets, Home Run Contest, trophies, or Event Matches. Classic Mode is terrible and not worth playing at all. My three mains (DK, Dr. Mario and especially Pikachu) are all so much worse than they were in previous Smash games. I genuinely hate that dramatic zoom at the end of stock matches. Last but not least, putting Ridley in the roster was the worst mistake they could have possibly done.
I put over 700 hours into each previous Smash Bros game. This one won't get 7 from me.

Part of me is happy that Simon and Richter got in, but part of me is also bummed out that Alucard is just an assist trophy. Hopefully a miracle happens and maybe someday Alucard will somehow be a real fighter

@Joshua Isaí Pimentel Del Havre I’d be totally ok with that. I don’t need another smash title for a while. Ports of the game with more content such as characters, modes and music as they come out is enough for the time being and sounds like a great idea. Sakurai can take a break and rest up.

The Mother 3 sprite has his jacket slightly darker than the original one.
WarpstarX's version seems to have one extra light gray pixel on the helmet (on the right side), but that's all I could see.

@@airhead7379 I heard it back in Smash 4 and I still stand by my opinion. The Melee version wasn't my cup of tea (prefer the original 64 rap), didn't care for the Lanky and Chunky and ending verses in the Melee versions and like several petitions, it'll ultimately fail because your support won't convince them to alter the tune again. It didn't work before and it won't work now. The sooner you all realize that, the better.

@@airhead7379 The 64 one was never in Smash to begin with. You can't ask for something that was never in Smash. And even then, Ridley was something Sakurai DID consider back in Brawl. He could've been in but didn't out of respect for the character itself. Also the Ballot doesn't really count. They're just suggestions for new fighters, not an actual petition like Getting Danny DeVito to be Detective Pikachu.

Did You Know? They could just keep improving Smash Bros Ultimate with more fighters, levels, and items as new consoles are released. Most fans wouldn't mind, and Sakurai and his team wouldn't need to reinvent the wheel.

@@BJGvideosThat sounds like a good idea at first, but as the video mentions, essentially every representative is negotiated individually. So the third party playable characters alone you'd need to draw up nine of those contracts (even more if Ken and Richter aren't package deals with Ryu and Simon, and presuming no further third-party DLC fighters), and the entire thing falls apart if ONE of those falls through, at any point. And that's not even getting into anything he has to do within Nintendo, or for assist trophies.
Crossovers are HARD.
@@EinDose They could just release fighters as DLC. God knows fans would be willing to pay for them (especially if they could complete the roster again), so that could offset the costs of negotiating for them every single time. In fact, Smash4 was pretty close to having a completed roster as is, especially once all its DLC was done with (it's just unfortunate that the 3DS version was holding it back, and I don't know what the hell was going on with Snake at the time). But yeah, I don't see every fighter being in the base game after this.
I'm just gonna stand back and admire the amount of work that went into this game. Great video by the way!

The toy used in the project plan (as seen in the video) were not Takara Tomy's Microman blank figures, but were S.H. Figuarts Body Kun figures. Using Figuarts makes sense for two reasons: Microman blank toys have been discontinued for for 15 years and the Figuarts toys are made by Bandai - it would make more sense for Bandai Namco to use their brand of Toys as opposed to a competitor's line of toys.
