This seems like the perfect episode for Dunkey to narrate. The crazy backstory for this game, that many people probably didn't even know existed, almost seemed like one of his out of nowhere rants he's known for.
Christ, the amount of times that Dunkey has made jokes about quoting developers by saying things they never said in his videos makes it so that when he actually does say things Miyamoto actually said, it doesn't feel like he's telling the truth.

While people in the comments joke about how Dunkey sounds like he's doing a skit or joking around, if you take a look at his reviews, videos on the industry, and even his old League stuff, the guy has always shown a true passion for what he's talking about. His videos have always been pretty engaging and jokes about knack and Bowser's Bean Burrito and beating Sky in Smash aside, I've always come away from them feeling like I learned something new, and this video was definitely no exception. Great work to everyone involved in this one, this is probably my favorite episode of DYKG yet.

I was thinking the same thing, even though Superstar Saga is a fundamentally different genre,it truly seems that every aspect of Super Mario 128 was broken up and utilized in other game. Hearing Dunkey say something that isn't a joke or him laughing is surreal. It's like every line I'm expecting for the episode to derail and just spiral into insanity.
Good video. It's really interesting how the creative process can turn out. You may not release the project you thought you were, but you can recycle ideas into other projects to make something unexpected but enjoyable!
