You are an Angel sent from heaven! Teaching us ways to reduce reuse and recycle while being able to create new items. Thank you so much sir!! The other ways to make a filament are so expensive. This method is inexpensive and will start a new era of green 3d printing thanks to you !!

Does your filament come out to be hollow from the inside? (my filament is hollow from the inside)
When it is 3D printing, it is having many air bubbles.

Ah... Thanks for the detail with the (low) temperature... Looks my attempts failed due to too high heat. :)
Dear friend, this temperature of 77.5 degrees is not the real temperature, in fact, the temperature is 205 degrees (watch video number 6)

Have you by chance noticed any difference in ability to print your homemade filament on a bowden setup vs a direct drive setup? I've been having trouble getting my homemade filament to feed through using my bowden setup.
Same here , because of long distance from nozzle the filament is not pushing equally
Plz give any suggestions on that

@@saadsayyed9442 Since my initial comment, I upgraded to a dual gear extruder which made all the difference. I wouldn't even try homemade PET filament without dual gear extrusion. I'm actually still running a Bowden setup, so I don't think direct drive vs Bowden is the limiting factor, its dual gear.
Hi, I am having a problem in that the bottles thickness is 0.65mm by ?.mm. I have tried a number widths from 8.0mm down to 4.0mm. Adjusted the temp up and down and the best I can get is a string,(more or less)about .75mm filament and about a 100mm long before the pull breaks. It's like the ribbon is melting and losing all it's tensile strength. Any Ideas? Thanks

I remember you said at some point that this filament is hollow in the middle, like a tube. Is this correct? If yes, do you need to dial in any other settings, such as retraction due to material density differences? Once again, excellent work
If the thickness of the bottle is 0.3, the filament becomes a tube
@@mr3dp this is likely because the hole entering the heat block is round so when pulling in the strip it rolls over without enough material it forms a tube this could probably be solved with a slotted heat break giving a further "melt zone" as the holes you drill form a cone
I wonder if you could increase the accuracy of the filament dia by increasing the melt zone area ? For instance if you took 2 hot ends and joined them together using a small section of heat break tapering the outer most heat break so it accepts the ribbon but having the hot end on the nozzle side completely stock with the modified nozzle this would allow a larger melt zone and create a “buffer” of molten plastic in theory it would result in a more consistent plastic flow which would be easier then say taking a block of aluminum and drilling it for thermocouple and heater and just making it wider the other option might be double extrusion have the first heater with a nozzle drilled at say 2-3 mm this would reduce the folding over effect of hollow filament followed by a second hot end who would take that extruded already round filament and reduce it from that larger dia down to 1.7 more consistently if one where to follow that double heat break at 3mm on the first end the joining of ribbons or the joining of 3mm filament will be much easer allowing you to extruder a much longer 1.7mm filament without the need of joining 1.7mm filament and worry about dia consistency

in the 3rd video you showed a temperature of 210 degrees in the extruder and in this 77, is it a significant difference, was it an error or is there a specific reason for that?
The number shown in this kit is not real, in fact the temperature is 205 degrees, please watch the video related to it, the full description is said in the video

As far as I can see in your videos, your bed temperature is 30 degrees. I can print at 80 degrees. how do you do this?

مشکل اینه پلاستیک جمع میشه باید کالا سوراخ ورودی با مته هشت باشه یا اولش اینجوریه

سلام من این سیستم شما رو با توجه کلیپ قبلی درست کردم همون اندازه مشکل اینه چرا داخل جمع میشه نمیداد بیرون تو دما مختلف تست کردم بطری مثل این بریدم
از چه کیتی برای کنترل دما استفاده میکنید و مقدار دما چقدر است ؟
@@mr3dp از همون رمپ برا پرینتر هیتر 40هست داخل محفظه آلمینیوم جمع میشه نمیاد بیرون البته اول با مته ۶ زدم تا سر نازل تا نصفه ورودی مته ۸ زدم
به احتمال زیاد دما زیاد هست
دما باید بین ۲۰۰ تا ۲۱۰ باشد
