Hello I would like to start doing this, would you share/sell a detailed process or guide that also specifies the details into cutting, material list to buy, etc, I see you have a very solid process you even printed your own accessory for the driller to wind up faster the pet pre-filament. Any way to reach you by email?

Hola. Buenísimo tu trabajo. Gran video.
It seems that one of the issues using PET bottles to do this is the length from each bottle, would it be possible to use 3 bottles with strands 1/3 the width to get 3x the length from them in one pull? Also could be interesting way to make multi colored filament if possible.
@@function3D Guess I don't understand how that works then, does it just create a very tightly wound piece out of the plastic strip? How is it making the solid filament strand?
@@JohnA... No, the strip has to be cut to a precise width that depends on its thickness so that when bent it forms an 'o' shaped section and not a 'c' shape, if the width is too wide it will not pass and the motor will skip steps, if it is not wide enough it will create an incomplete filament that can hardly be pushed by the extruder of the printer, what you describe would create an irregular filament that will not work for 3D printing

Hi, I'm also starting to get closer to this world but I have a problem which is that I don't know how to join the filaments produced by each bottle, I saw a machine on TH-cam called slunaz ff1r, whose function is to join the pieces of filament, but I don't know how it can be, has anyone tried it?
It does not have to be 1.75, it can be, 1.6 or 1.65 or 1.8 even 1.9, the important thing is not to go out of the margins your printer tolerates, the diameter depends on you, the bit you use to drill the nozzle, I use a 1.7mm, and the width with which you cut the strip of the bottle, which also depends on the thickness of the wall of the bottle
Has implementado a la carpeta de stls el tornillo ese de plástico para no tener que hacerlo de hierro??
Gracias

Hi bro, nice video, could you send me the stl of the system to join the filaments? It's very good and I can't find it on your github
Hi! Where can I download this bottle cutter model? I didn't find it on your site.

what's the temp. for the estruder to make filament? not for printing
Awesome process. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Como tu lo haces
Which is the temperature you are using to melt PET and extruding filament?
what thickness of nozzle do you use?
Is there like a chart for the width and cutting ratio??

There is no molten plastic in this filament manufacturing process so your proposals are not feasible

@@JohnA... There is no solid filament with this process, the PET filament is always hollow

Hi, if the pet filament is hollow or become a tube, is it going to be a problem when printing a model? how to solve it? thanks.
Not a problem, PET filament is always hollow in some way, increasing the flow 120% or more is the right thing to do
Nice video :) What temperature is set on soldering iron ? thanks
It depends on the soldering iron, PET plastic melts at 255°C but it is a matter of testing
I'm thinking to order your bottle cutter but is it adjustable for different bottle thickness?
Yes, th-cam.com/video/hEdDhRgakms/w-d-xo.htmlsi=5MxrYMHEmXoK-gYj
When I use it to print something, the print doesn't come out. Do you have any tips about this?

The filament joints from PET plastic bottles are always weak and in this video you can see how the joints are made
@@function3D what do you think about this machine?
@@nikyprint3d My opinion is that the simpler the better, the joints will always be weak with PET no matter the machine or the method
