  • Find out if the 2nd generation of the Muse S Sleep tracker is worth your money from someone who has been using Muse headbands for years. The Muse S claims to improve your sleep and to help you fall back asleep if you wake up in the middle of the night. Find out if it actually helped me with my sleep issues by watching this video.

I always learn so much from your videos thank you. As regards waking up during the night, I found something quite unexpected you might be interested in trying to see if it works for you…
Every time I wake up I take 2 to 4 drops of Bach rescue remedy, and two drops of Bach “white chestnut“ (which calms overactive thoughts). Almost without fail I go right back to sleep within 5 to 10 minutes. It’s very rare I will lay awake. I don’t know how or why this is working… But it’s working for me. Give it a try.

Thanks for your continued feedback, it's always great to hear from you 🙂. I will check out that Bach supplement. So far the things that help me fall back asleep are: Glycine, CBD oil, and Touchpoints wearables, but not every time

@@HRVHackers Bach Flower essences are very interesting and surprisingly powerful, they work on a basically woo-woo energetic level. Quite different from aromatherapy and essential oils. Created by a British Doctor in the 1920’s who started his traditional medicine career developing vaccines but went off in a holistic direction. There are a few videos here on TH-cam but most contain incorrect information including how to pronounce his name (like “Batch”). I’m recovering from a similar illness to you and Bach Flower essences have surprisingly gone right near the top of my list of things that are helping.

That's really good to hear that they are helping you. Feel free to keep sharing the things that help. Hopefully we will both come out of this situation stronger than ever 😊 The Bach sleep rescue arrived today. I'll try it and will try some of the other ones you suggested as well. Thanks again

BTW I'm not sure if you are also dealing with a bunch of food sensitivities post infection, and if there are Bach tinctures or something else you know that may help?

@@HRVHackers I would not recommend the “sleep rescue remedy” because it uses a non-alcoholic vegetable glycerin preservative, which if you have food sensitivities might make you sick, it did that to me big time.
      Instead for sleep use
      1) rescue remedy 2-4 drops
      2) white chestnut 2 drops
Before bed, and every time you wake.
White chestnut is the extra flower essence in the “sleep” version of rescue remedy, but you are not getting the preservative. Instead brandy is used in tiny amounts as the preservative.

I was hoping they could incorporate some "deep sleep stimulation" technology, but it doesn't look like it. Also, I had to sell my first gen Muse S because it'd take me about 15 minutes to get it started with the sensors, I'd be just stressed out before bed. Terrible experience. Great video, thanks for sharing!

I have Muse 2 and I really like it. I was thinking to get the the Muse S just for the sleep tracking but that sensor tear really put me off. I'm just trying to understand why other reviewers did not point it out.

Good question... maybe they used it for a week did the review and returned it? Those sensors being frail is a known issue

I had the older muse s headband (black) and used it heavily (multiple times a day) and eventually it did abrade to the point I had to get a new headband, which they replaced under warranty when it started getting electrode errors frequently when the version 2 s headband (blue) came out, I got it, and the I am happy to report that it lasted MUCH longer, is MUCH more resistant to abrasion than the original headband. I have used it heavily for months and it shows no signs of failure, a tiny bit of abrasion, but NOTHING like the first headband, and it still never fails to sync up right away, first try. So I have NO idea why you said the new version abraded faster, that is definitely NOT my experience.

Thanks for sharing! My experience was totally opposite, and many others online have complained about the new headband

Polysomnography uses EEG with more than 16 channels, Muse has only 4.
I tested Muse 1 and Muse S at EEG Lab where is working my friend. I can say that Muse is just a fancy too buggy toy compared to a simple primitive 16 channel EEG. The device is very unstable and its algorithms of interpenetrating raw signals are too buggy.
Anecdotally is that Muse 1 is more stable and precise than Muse S. Muse changed precision to convenience from S version.
Right now it is waste of time and money.
