Have been told to expect my build date for mine this month so cannot wait to join the pops and bangs club. I always drove manually when I had my M2. Great video great camera quality and view😊
Love your video and can’t wait to see the channel grow. I do see what people mean by the pumped in audio, the sound is almost piercing. Sick car either way. Keep the vids coming!
I have the non S version and didn't opt for the package that includes the pumped in exhaust sound, but even without it you still get a lot of exhaust sound in the cabin, but it's not overdone. My passengers always ask if I have an aftermarket exhaust😂.
Thanks Steve, they both create quite different experiences so I love swapping between the two, always fun! Manual is fun when you want to be a bit more involved and auto is best for those focused intense sport+ drives 🔥
me realizing you have the $2,2k mag set. Also what i like most about cars and bike is sound, whether it's bops, bang, bags or even intake/blowoff, stutter all those are making butterfly up my belly
Ah yes! 🍿 I’m averaging around 20-25 at the moment but I think it could of been around 15 in this drive, Race mode really drinks fuel and the tanks not very big so it does drop quickly. Overall though the car has been pretty good MPG wise and it will improve a bit now the engine has some miles. I think on a easy motorway long drive you could get up to 40 which is amazing for 421 hp
Great video bro, as always. I have the non S version and haven't driven in manual mode. Just wanted to know if you are doing any engine braking when u down shift or is your foot on the brake as well. Thx. Keep up the great work!
Thanks Lincoln, I did a little engine braking in this drive but most was using the brakes while I’m getting used the gearbox, was really fun using the paddles though!
would be great if you made a guide on how/ when to use paddle shifts and explain different gears. while commentating why/when you upshifted/down shifted . plenty of guys (including myself) have no idea and there really isn't a clear guide on youtube
Thanks Nagzzz, I have always wanted to make a full in-depth video guide to paddle shifters, hopefully I can do one this year. I have a video with 8 tips and tricks here if you haven’t seen it. th-cam.com/video/0PRpKo0hD4U/w-d-xo.html
Hey Daz, Thank you! The 220d premium plus is great. The 45s is amazing but the 220d is a brilliant car all around. It still packs a punch and you get the lovely CLA shape along with all the nice interior. I will try and get my hands on one to compare some time in a video :)
Hey Franky, thanks! Ah that sticker is the instructions for running in the engine the first 1000 miles, I need to remove it since we’ve finished the run in period! 😁
Thank you! Happy new you to you too! The C43 gear box is good but the CLA45s is noticeably quicker. I haven’t ran into any missed changes or jumps yet too which I had in the C43 sometimes but these were quite rare so may happen in the 45, either way both are pretty solid but I’d say you do notice the CLA45s improvement/sportier setup. This is mostly due to the dual clutch I think.
Funny as we both got our 45s arround the same time im actually also starting to play around with the manual mode ....been able to get it to pop and bang on command and its sooooo fun 🤣
Aha Nice! Playing in manual mode was one of the things I was most excited about after the engine run in period. Can see myself having fun with the pops a lot now! There goes my MPG 🤣
Amazing. Making me look into getting one too... I'd like to ask a question regarding the sound from the interior - I'm aware due to the EU regulations, the sound had to be muffled quite a fair bit. Does yours have the AMG Real Performance Sound add on? I'm only concerned if it's a lot louder than your video, and whether or not it'll be an annoyance for driving daily!
Hi Aaron, This has the AMG real performance sound option. If your worried about it being loud there’s a button in the center console that you can press which will turn it off and also close the flaps in the exhaust. If you want the flaps open in the exhaust but don’t want AMG real sound you can also disable real sound in the menu. It’s all very easy to customise to your liking :)
Sorry to hear :( I feel for you the wait is hard but you will be so happy when it finally arrives. Hopefully it will be built sooner, this has happened to lots of people so fingers crossed!
It won’t let you downshift if your going to fast for that gear. The dash flashes red and nothing happens. It’s all very safe and won’t let you damage the car.
@@ABAUTOAMG ahh thats why…cause i will sell my audi, im watching for the cla 45s in the switzerland but js simple hard to find one.. everycar has high km…and the pops are not so loud with urs
Do you think if you were side by side with another CLA 45 that was in automatic it would out accelerate you being that manual mode is only as fast as the human clicking the paddle and not as fast at changing the gears as it is letting the cars computers do the work? Not driven mine in manual mode yet but am looking forwards to having ago but when the automatic side is so productive it’s easy to be lazy I suppose.
The auto mode is incredibly quick, especially in sport+ and race mode so I think with the average driver it would win 🥇the paddles are so fun to use though!
@@Happytruth Yep! I think the stig would go manual but auto would beat most people as it’s so quick! Agreed with the UK roads, I think this is as much power I’d ever want, anymore would be wasted unless on the track!
Yes :( The C43 did have an epic bang on the early up changes, especially the pre facelift model. Still absolutely loving the sound and drama of the CLA45s though and the gear box is so quick. Hope you are still enjoying yours too!
While I absolutely get it and am all for the big v8, v10’s and wish they were not being phased out engineering has moved so far forward now with incredible performance for less cylinders. It’s not fair to judge a car by the amount of cylinders now. Just look at the ford GT which was downsized to a V6, that car is remarkable. Similar car be said with AMGs new 4 cylinder engine in the CLA45s. 421 hp, light and nimble with an incredible rev range and constant torque. You have to drive one to appreciate just how good this engine is.
I’ve only just started playing around with mine in manual mode and it’s insane 😬 !!

Ah! Exciting times! Thank you, this was a fun one to make! 😀
I’m about to email to request an update on my order as well, hopefully they’ll tell me the same

Great vid I was out in my c63 in manual mode great fun but also think sport + in auto is more aggressive feel when driving 🤔

What MPG are you getting when driving like you did in this video? Curious to know what kind of fuel cost to expect
Ah yes! 🍿

Great videos! I'm ordering a 220d premium plus this week. Do you have any opinions of the models below the CLA35/45's?

Nice Video again. Love this car. Question: what kind of sticker is this in or Frontwindow?
Hey Franky, thanks! Ah that sticker is the instructions for running in the engine the first 1000 miles, I need to remove it since we’ve finished the run in period! 😁

Amazing Car 👏👏
Thanks Murman
Doesn’t does damage the engine downshifting while the car is in high-speed

@@ABAUTOAMG What about on the CLA-35 AMG 2022 ?
Is this car stock? This one which u drived? Und which year is the car?
It's my 2022 CLA45s. Here is stock but I've modified the exhaust slightly since this video so newer vids it's a bit louder.

A DECAT won’t void warranty?? Really!? I’m well interested in more info.
Sorry Mark I miss spoke In my excitement. I had meant to say a simple Cat-back exhaust, no downpipes or tune.

The bit I miss the most is the loud bang on up change my c43 made compared to my 45s. This one makes a dull pop like my last cla 250 made...pitty
A c43 is nothing compared to a 45s 😂 one is an amg one is not

@@fayahmad9063 Not really, the 43 has a V6 engine and the 45 is a straight-four… Personally my money goes V6.
@@jamsxr yeah because the future is getting rid of these engines. The 4s are faster and economically better. The new c63 is having the same engine.

Yeah :( No idea why they limited to just the 45. The 45 is still brilliant though If you spec it up.
C43>CLA45
I think both are amazing cars 😁
Agree with @ABAUTO but I still prefer my C43 coupe 😜 anyway it seems new CLE will become alive in 2023 perhaps will be my next car? 🙏🏻
