It’s never ending reporting of stats that somehow is someone’s else’s fault.
Yet stats that really matter, things we individually could do things about are ignored. And these are things that would really improve lives and by default our country.

Captures the mood, the facts, the real emotions, the struggles, the emense way that citizens mobilized, organised, worked out teams, different stages to start from eg clear roads, rescue people, clear yrees off buildings, then dig buildings out in that order. From Russia, to Gaza, to USA, to UK, to Australia, to Canada....its the citizens that are debunking the biased agendas, and forced narratives, propaganda flowing out of our Governments, and their legacy media platforms.

I turned of the radio and the tv to avoid the covid fear porn. The TV only comes on when I cast something to it and radio occasionally for music. Any information I wish to reserach is on the internet and I can weigh up the various commentaries and follow those that make the most sense.
There is always the 2 sides to the story and we tend to follow the ones that align with our own thoughts. I think the Platform offers some great commentary, I don't always agree but much better than the cavemen on the BHH. Watch out for A.I. it will screw with your mind.

The reason the news is dying in NZ is that the majority of Kiwis aren't woke, and the legacy news is. Presenters and reporters these days state their opinions as facts, can't keep their dislike or bias from showing, couldn't give an issue a balanced treatment if they tried, and Kiwis are sick of being told, or implied, that what we actually think and feel is wrong or bad. I think there are a lot of well paid presenters/journalists living in cities who have become so far removed from heartland NZ and the issues and viewpoints that families and communities care about. I doubt the disconnect between msm and the viewing public can be bridged, without acknowledgement that there is a serious problem with their product, and a massive effort to clean house. Will never happen because they seem to be such arrogant SOBs. I actively switch off or change the channel before any of our twit NZ news come on.

I refuse to sit in front of TV or at my desk reading NZ Herald or Stuff with a bloody dictionary in my hand. The News as its disseminated by the so called mainstream venues, is predominantly an excuse for editorial opinion in a poor disguise, or a lesson in a language I have no interest in learning at my age. Even the weather was a choice of a demonstration of a weird ballet or another annoying lesson in identifying the locations on the map, with what the presenter was saying. I get a fantastic weather report from Phil Duncan, no dictionary required, just the facts.
If anything of note occurs during the day, ZB radio lets me know quite promptly and from there a quick google search usually provides more detail.

National is not favouite to me, however, Onenews is definitely missing a context here and bias on Labour party side

I am one of these people who turn of the news.. actually no watching TV anymore. The nieuws is very political left and tv in general has to many commercials. Maybe the platform can start the 6 o’clock news. Your remark about news of the world that was always very minor. They like to show 5 minutes of a donut shop as that is cheap news

I stopped reading newspapers because they had little factual news but lots of odd ideas. I stopped watching tv3 news because they tried to make everything into a comedy. I stopped watching tv1 because they had a very biased view of the world and were not balanced. I now watch TH-cam which is full of brain cell killing content, but careful digging allows me to find some good balanced reports that are not all hype and accusations, such as the platform
