Could you imagine if that "other" mayoral candidate had won??? Auckland would be ruined by interest debt and free buses only a minority would have used.
Hope Wayne seeks out a 2nd term

Wayne, from what I've heard from you, you make perfect practical sense. You're under a lot of pressure from a left wing woke NZ journalist society. Keep up the good work 👏

I can’t see why The Auckland harbour Bridge isn’t Tolled?? & When is Auckland Airport going to Get A Rail Link??? 6*6 kilometres to Puhinui Railway Station!!! The Good Old Kiwi Can Do Attitude doesn’t exist in Auckland obviously! Although the current Mayor seems a fair enough Bloke! 👍 Regards Dave McC

@@yvonneboden-jones8334 From the South Island you clearly can't see what a total mess downtown Auckland is. It's as bad as San Francisco. Like a ghost town, with homeless druggies begging in the main street. Come and have a look before you start opining on whether Mr Brown is what NZ needs.

I honestly hope Mr. Browns approach is infectious and more local body officals need to take a good look at his approach and copy it for all it's worth.

Bring that No.8 wire mentally back mate and lets get back to doing what we do best. As Kiwis we built this country making everything with minimal resources and no help being a million miles from anywhere. A lot of clever ingenuity, hard work and an efficient mentality. We built REAL wealth and equality. Not million dollar debt traps for the banks in Aussie to profit from or which we claim are investments, but forget we created nothing, but a house that is another year worst off. Love how you aren't afraid to call it how it is Mr Brown, keep it up!

I think interviews like this accentuate how poorly mainstream media is doing . Media with a bit of bias is fine. It allows people to choose whom they are comfortable with. but in recent years, mainstream media in the part of the world we come from seem to be hell bent on pushing a certain narrative which is a large part virtue signalling and often not really connected to objective reality. I hope you are making a good living from your podcasting. i once was a constant listener of National radio. It started to deteriorate about the same time that you and Mike Hosking moved elsewhere. I still tune into that station from time to time, but they are badly infected with the mind virus these days. Thanks for everything you do. Keep up the good work.

As for Auckland transport. Industrial spec high speed Gondolas mate. Sounds silly, but quick, quiet, electric, perfect for steep terrain or crossing harbours with out restrictioning Maritime traffic and next to no expensive land to acquire. Goes point to point as the crow flies and gives users a beautiful view and creates a tourism attraction at the same time.
