Received my Nexus today. Happy with the overall quality build and I can't wait to try the motion aiming. Do you know if this controller is compatible with a Cronus Zen? That would be heaven.
Hey, it's compatible with a Titan Two so there is also a chance for it to work with the Zen. If it doesnt work then its on the Zen side to add compatibility, the XIM Company did everything to make it as easy as possible to support XIM Nexus.

Great video! I'm excited to order later today. I have a PS5. Will it work on my console? I can use the Xim Apex natively to play PS4 games with the Nacon controller trick from a previous video, but I want to try this controller. Will it work on on PS5 for native games and for PS4 games played on PS5?

@@raider1tk same feelings man. I orederd the Beloader and I couldn't get it to work, regardless of what trick or tutorial I followed to the letter. Ill wait for confirmed PS5 compatibility. At that point, take my money!!! Haha
PS5 compatibility is being worked on, but there are no news to share yet. If the Beloader didnt work for you then Sony Remote Play is the other alternative that lets you play PS5 games.
Can you guys please make a carry case for the nexus please something that holds all the things that come with the controller because just carrying around the controller in a bag causes stick drift
Hey, should the carry case include space for the cables and Nexus adapter too or would it be sufficient if its only for the controller? If your Nexus develops a stick drift you can remove it by doing a stick cablibration! So you should never experience any stick drift with your controller :).

I know this question is not about the topic. Is there a difference when having the sensitivity in game all the way up and playing with the stick sensitivity with no motion aim on !... Do you get any benefits from doing it that way, nor is it better to have it on classic mode and adjust the sensitivity in game !?.... Idk how to explain lol 😅
Shouldn't be a difference aside from the ability to apply custom curves. But if you're only applying various sensitivities it shouldn't make a difference
Hey, in classic mode your Nexus works like an ordinary controller, so you can adjust the sensitivity via the ingame settings. If you dont use the classic mode though then you must max out your ingame settings. The reason is that the Smart Translator inside a config will only work on a very speciifc ingame setting layout (maxed sensitivity). If you use other ingame settings then you may experience unwated behavior. You then adjust everything via the Nexus Manager instead, so adjustments via the ingame settings are not needed.

The benefits from adjusting the controller through the app, and not using classic mode, would be that you can use stick curves to compensate the aim mechanic flaws, use the back buttons or also use features like quick pull or hair triggers to perform better with weapons. You could fine adjust your stick deadzone or use independent HIP and ADS sensitivities. All of that (and more) would be turned off when using classic mode. Motion aiming is just one of many features.
Hey, a solution coming from the XIM website is being worked on, until that is available you can use your XIM in PS5 games by using a Beloader or Sony Remote Play. That is what most PS5 XIM players are doing right now.
I don't understand the lack of standards in the Manager. Why is the threshold a - + configuration but the output is a slider with no actual percentage?
@@mcdonamw Hey, those two are not the same and address different things. The threshold is the phyiscal press distance of your controller. So basically how much you press the trigger into the housing, measured in percent. The output slider is what the controller will then send to the console (when you press the trigger to the previously configured threshold). Since games do not track the analog stick with great precision it is sufficient to handle the output percentage via a slider in increments of 5%, whereas the physical trigger press percentage can be configured in greater detail to give you more precision for your adjustments.
@@XIMCentral I get that but a percentage is a percentage. Why not use a slider for both? I'm sure no one is hitting 6% of their trigger consistently. It's obv not that important, I'm just a nerd for consistency.

Most games dont track differences in the one percent range, even the given 5% slider option is a bit excessive as some games dont even start to recognize an input before 30%. Whereas on the physical trigger you can very well notice a difference between 1 and 2%. Plus the higher resolution is needed to distinguish between double assignments, such as 1-50% equals shooting and 51-100% equals reloading. A slider for the physical threshold with 1% increments would cause difficulties on smaller phones, and a value box for the digital output would raise questions among customers.
The semi-conductor/silicon shortages around the world make it impossible to produce new XIM Apex stock at the moment. Maybe in a few months this will change, until then the second-hand market (eBay, ...) is the only way to buy a XIM Apex right now.
By default gyro gets mapped to activate at a 100% trigger press, could be it just takes a hard press to register. Try lowering that to 5% to activate as soon as the trigger is depressed. Just a thought

Need help its not regarding the nexus but on xim apex when trying to use keyboard for movement and controller for aiming my character completely freezes up and wont me, anyway to fix this ? Thanks
Maybe its a powerdraw issue, check if the controller is fully charged. Your XIM cannot charge the controller but just make sure it doesnt further discharge.
@@XIMCentral im running it the same way i do with mouse and keyboard but now it acts like it doesnt wanna work when trying to use controller and keyboard at same time. should i try running the controller solo from the xim and seeing what that does ?

Yes that is possible! I think my multibinding tutorial will show that, it will be out right after the next tutorial i think. In short you double bind your ADS trigger to also contain the hold breath action.

Hey, yes you can also use an old Xbox One controller. If you get powerdraw issues then you can either add an external power supply to your Titan Two, or to your XIM (5V 3A) for the XIM. You could also try to deactivate LED backlights of your devices to see if that is already sufficient.

Hi I’m a little late to the party but I can’t seem to find the threshold options when I click on the R trigg. To clarify I have the beta version downloaded for smart actions if that makes a difference
Hey, have you selected a "rigth trigger press percentage" binding or a normal "right trigger" binding? The latter is analog and will therefore not let you bind thresholds because the input is meant to be analog (as in any trigger press percentage is regarded as such by the game).
When I add a new button the only options I have are a normal right trigger and a right trigger position I’ve been trying both neither show me the threshold option
@@jacquiqmate7165 Oh ok i see. Yes the right trigger position is the correct choice. Can you go into the top right options of your XIM Manager (info/about) and post both firmware versions that it lists you there?

@@XIMCentral I'm using aim and shoot activation. Its literally no gyro aim until I hard tilt the controller then it kicks in. It could be ok for the next couple of activations then it happens again. Full signal on nexus app.
@@grantvxr83 With Aim and Fire activation you must specify your gyro activation in the button bindings. Check what trigger precentages you have bound it to, by default its set to 100%. So it only activates when you fully press the trigger. You can customize these percentages of course to have motion activate on different percentages, or buttons. The upcoming video release will show you how to do that :).

Hey, the setup with a Titan Two is the same as with any other controller. The Titan website has guides on that in their documentation area.

Getting a delay when ads before gyro aim starts to work?
