4:36 that kind of gyro holding with high sensitivity is perfect for couch gamers with the controller in their lap. It takes work but you'll barely have to move your controller to get on your target once you master it
I fully agree! Have you had a chance to test XIM Nexus yet? If you are a high gyro sensitivity player then Nexus performs much better than other gyro controllers imo. Even on smoothing 0 you have basically no crosshair stutter on very high sensitivities, which is what throws me off when using other gyro controllers on a similarly high sensitivity (DualSense, ...).

I have been using gyro for awhile, I am going to have to disagree some with 4:51, you don't want to lift your arms up unless you're playing on a table, but that's suboptimal. You want to play on your lap and have your hands out far enough that you can rest your arms and the controller isn't being blocked by your legs, that makes it less shaky and more precise
Absolutely. Especially when most controller users will be gaming on a couch
For gyro beginnners this is a problematic advice though. Resting more than just your elbows on your legs, a pillow or your desk will heavily reduce your potential movement freedom. It basically forces you to play with high sensitivities. A gyro newcomer will not be able to handle such sensitivities, and as a result they might dislike gyro aiming as a whole. Nexus introduces a lot of controller players to gyro aiming, and this video is a direct response to the issues they have expressed with gyro aiming in the XIM Forum. Resting your arms on your legs is something an intermediate (or above) gyro player can do. Someone who already developed a feeling for gyro aiming and has the required dexterity for faster sensitivities. In the beginning it is not recommended to do that though.
See this as some sort of water wings. As soon as you know how to swim you can of course use your preferred swimming technique in the pool. It would be fatal to advice a nonswimmer to jump into the pool and perform front crawl right from the start just because its the fastest and most efficient way to swim.
@@XIMCentral I've introduced many people to gyro, and everyone learns arms on legs, and I use a low sensitivity (1.5 real world). You also have to remember you're teaching yourself all of this stuff while I'm in a server with Jibb Smart

@@idkrossplay You are free to teach anyone your preferred way of playing with a gyro. As i said this video is a direct answer to problems that gyro newcomers have expressed through various customer feedback channels. If you dislike this way of learning gyro aiming then thats fine. You are an already an established gyro player, this video doesnt target you in any way. This method has proven to help all of the customers that i mentioned above, whereas arms on legs hasnt. Arms on legs is what actually made them reach out to us. Also not sure what relevance Jibb Smart being in your server has to do with all of this.

I'm asking specifically if you would prefer using the nexus vs the apex (m&k) to play any ranked competitive games?
Hey, i actually play with both. I have games i feel more comfortable with when using mouse and keyboard, and then there are games i enjoy more with a controller. Accuracy wise im doing about the same with both XIMs. For example i enjoy Halo Infinite more with XIM Nexus, for me this is a traditional controller game. Whereas on Rainbow Six i prefer to use mouse and keyboard, as it reminds me of playing CS on my PC back in the days. If you have games you think are more suited for a controller, even if its just singleplayer games you want to enjoy from the couch, then Nexus could be something for you. However if you dont enjoy playing with controllers at all then you should probably stay with XIM Apex! :)
Do you guys have any plans of releasing a version of the controller with symmetrical sticks? Because of the way my left thumb is, I can't really reach the left joystick and it makes my thumb and hand hurt. I kind of have a deformed hand. That's why I need symmetrical sticks, but I can deal with it if there won't be a different version of the controller. I will just have to take a lot of breaks during gaming.

Hey, you can either use a reshipping service like Shipito or you can wait until the worldwide XIM resellers get their stock. You can probably order from their websites then. This will happen very very soon. If you want to get it as quickly as possible then i would suggest Shipito though.
Is there a way to use the gyro raising one side up to enable right left movement similar to the old steam controller rather than moving side to side horizontally?
Yes you can adjust that via the Tilt Allign feature.

You will have the same aim assist with the option to tweak its behavior a bit. But getting more aim assist than what the game developer codes into the game is not possible.
Do you need any form of adapter for using it on the PS4?

Sure you can, just press the middle button to turn it off or completely shut down the gyro within your Nexus game config (requires advanced/expert mode to be activated).

I'm enjoying my XIM Nexus on PS4 until I started playing Killzone, can't figure out how to swipe the touchpad to command the in game drone
That is currently not supported but its being worked on! For now please use the touchpad on the authentication controller until touchpad guestures are added to Nexus.

So i try to update the beloader from WIFI to LAN and i deleted the update file instead of replace it and now the beloader doesn't connect to the PC is there a solution?

i hold the controller different since i play bumper jumper so i dont think this will work for me, plus wrist and thumb issues
Hey, what kind of controller grip are you using specifically? Claw for ABXY and L1, L2, R1 and R2 all have fingers permanently resting on them? I assume that is what you mean with bumper jumper grip?

@@alfiemiller07 Oh i see. The PC as a platform has recently been added and as such you can now also pick PC configs. Previously you could choose between Xbox and Playstation configs for a specific game. Now there will also be a PC option! :)

Hey, use the PS4 mode then. Remote Play will expect PS4 inputs, so connect a regular PS4 controller to your XIM Nexus Adapter! :)

Hey, Nexus is the only controller that lets you recalibrate the sticks, or even manually adjust the calibration parameters. This allows you to remove eventual stick drift within a few seconds. Replacing sticks may not be necessary. I will have a video guide about that on this channel soon i think.

Hey, just connect the wireless USB dongle to the XIM, thats it. Alternatively you can of course also connect the mouse via its cable to the XIM if you dont want to play wireless.

Yes absolutly, even if you dont intend to use motion aiming you get plenty of options that make this controller superior to normal controllers. See my "XIM Nexus All Features" video for more details on that.

@@kaufins Yes but only when using very specific authentication controllers. This is due to the Zen having really poor compatibility. I think a first gen PS4 and Xbox One controller are required or else the Zen wont work. You are better off to use a Titan Two instead, much better compatibility with XIM devices and its also offers more features than the Zen.

@@kaufins I think the Titan Two offers a bluetooth kit with which you can configure it through the phone. But definitely research that beforehand id say as im not 100% sure.

The most popular DPI value among the XIM Community is 3200, which is also the one i commonly recommed to use!

@@sav3r624 Yes if you have a Glorious Model O then its best to stay below 2000 DPI to avoid the sensor smoothing. I have such a mouse too and use it with 1800 DPI.

I just got my nexus I personally don't use it for gyro but I noticed it doesn't feel good feels like it has delay my ps5 controller feels way better I'm so disappointed I even payed for next day shipping 😢
Hey, when you get your Nexus you must do a calibration run first. That will remove all delays. You do that by going into the global settings, then calibration. There you first do the upper calibration, and then the lower one. Also on my channel you can find Nexus tutorials on how to get the best stick accuracy! Nexus allows you to completely tweak that! :)

Hey, downgrade the Xbox controller firmware through the system settings of your Xbox. Its a bug with the latest Xbox controller firmware.

Does this controller work on PS5 console?
PS5 support is being worked on, until a XIM solution has been achieved you can play on a PS5 console by either using a Beloader or Sony Remote Play.
