Man I’ve already watched this video like 10X but I just ordered my controller yesterday and I’m just so excited to get it.

While all first iterations of products aren't always perfect, per the comments I see, I do want to purchase this once available. It looks exciting, and if it is of the same caliber as the Xim Apex, it will not disappoint. We'll done Xim team.
That Unified Sensitivity feature is gonna be such a time savior. I get tired of trying to adjust my sens from transitioning from Apex Legends to Cod and vice versa using Xim Apex. It makes sense that this feature is only possible on the NEXUS.
lol there are plenty of calculators out there with hundreds of games. Like csgo to Valorant sensitivity being divided by 3.18. Look up sensitivity converter for your game of choice.
A dream come true. I love gyro aim and it frustrates me beyond belief that Sony refuses to make use of it
and what is even wors isthat they dont allow other controllers on ps5 games, because int heir own words they do not want people to experience the games without haptic feed back and dual sense triggers. iate it that i have to use a workaround like the beloader pro to use my nexus on ps5 games. It works, and i do not notice the lag, but some people might be sensitive to it. plus some games do not work on the nexus because of the touchpad. but if the nexus can work around that and other controllers would be able to rebind touch pad controls to buttons, then basily all ps5 games should be playable with other controllers. i am really dissapointed that sony uses these trick to keep people in their eco system. But even mircrosoft and nintendo try to limit 3rd party controller developers. xbox third party controllers can only use the wired connection because mircrosoft uses there own communication signal for their controllers. Nintendo does not let 3rd part developers use hd rumble intheir controllers. This way all 3 companies try to keep you from buying other cheaper or beeter alternatives. Sorry for the rant, but it is just so darn frustrating.

Yes i think so too, all alpha testers managed to increase their accuracy with controllers by a lot when they switched to Nexus!

Just got one of these and, I can't believe how good it is! Halo Infinite, Gears 5, MH World, Mass Effect Legendary, all with flawless gyro aiming that feels 1:1 like true mouse gyro. It's a miracle!

This hardware is insane! I love it!
One bit of feedback though, the press for this product and the website front-end is simultaneously overwhelming (difficult to read) and invisible (not being pushed), working together to push potential customers away. I'm not hearing anyone talk about this and they should be! I understand if your marketing team is holding back while the product is still being developed (which it seems like but I can't tell from the marketing materials) or it there is a small marketing team, but this stuff is awesome and I'm certain it will be well-received but only if people know it exists.
Also, a side question, is there a flick stick option for the analog sticks?
Hey, thanks a ton for the feedback! Nexus is still in soft-launch state with some big improvements being added via a firmware update very soon! Once that has happened the marketing will start and the website will probably see some rework too. Until then no marketing will happen as the XIM team prefers to add some more features before the media coverage starts to review it. Those are very big features in our oppinion and it would be ideal if tech websites include those in their reviews too! A flick stick is currently being discussed as well! :)
Perhaps already mentioned with shift function, the ability to “shift” to another mapping layer with different sensitivities can be useful. For example I’m a full-time Gyro user and rarely touch my right stick. My main layer is very sensitive in the x axis but not so much in y axis to prevent jitters when looking around moving etc. When I aim down sights to a different shift layer the opposite sensitivities are enabled with tremendous amounts of y sensitivity to manage recoil. Hope that makes sense and can’t wait for this to come out I’m super excited. Thanks!
Hey, Nexus works like XIM Apex in that regard. You can use independent HIP and ADS sensitivities for both the sticks and motion aiming. Is that what you meant with shift sensitivities?
@@XIMCentral that is excellent, and will be useful but what I’m actually saying is having multiple mapping layers. So when I aim down sights my controller becomes essentially a differently mapped controller. I use Ds4 windows an ReWASD to do this. A pull of the L trigger shifts me to a diff layer which has different sensitivities and mappings but there are ways around this I suppose. Anyway thanks for all the great technology

@@XIMCentral Sure will :) I play fortnite mainly and the community are always thirsty for the next trick/advantage/meta, so will be interesting to see how the controller can be leveraged with all its functionality.
Is stick snap turning native?
On PC, and through Steam Controller Inputs, I can set the right stick to turn the camera horizontally by 180 degrees by holding the stick down, and if I rotate the stick around, it will look horizontally in that direction, rather than pan the camera relative to where I'm aiming. Think of it like a top-down twin-stick shooter, and then I use Gyro exclusively to aim up and down and left and right for accurate shots.
If I were to get an Xbox to play with friends, would that input method be possible? If not, would there be any consideration to make that possible?
I already purchased the controller, and I'm excited to start using it soon! This is a curiosity question, more or less

Loving the nexus. I tried to register on the official Xim forums but for some reason I can’t.
Just a request if it’s possible to add the option to invert the motion tilt controls. The option to invert the vertical tilt is there so I’m surprised there’s no invert option for horizontal tilt.
Besides that, I am extremely pleased with the Nexus and don’t see myself using any others control method for console gaming moving forward.
Hey, please try a different email provider then. Some free email hosters are blacklisted because they are commonly used for spambot attacks. As for the inverted horizontal tilt, that is a good suggestion. Once you managed to register in the forum i would recommend you to post the suggestion in the XIM Forum. One of the devs might have follow-up questions to how you would like this to be added! :)

If this works with Nintendo Switch I'd 100% buy one but as of now I'm enjoying my Apex. Any plans to support it? Looks great either way and I will buy one eventually. Is gyro the future for console aiming or do you think pros will prefer sticks? Speaking from a competitive standpoiny
If enough interest is shared then the Switch can also be made compatible! Gyro aiming certainly allows you to be even more accuracte. When the tech starts to become popular i can certainly see pros using it over sticks only.

can you make 2 buttons do the function at the same time when you press the trigger?, for example, when you have a Sniper in cod, make it do the LT and LS action when you press the left trigger, then when you aim with Sniper hold breathing automatically.
Yes you can do that, you can assign several actions to one button such as zoom + hold breath onto the left trigger.
A couple questions,
Games on PlayStation that have native gyro like Fortnite and Paladins, will those work without having to emulate right stick, or will the gyro be forced to emulate right stick?
On PC, is there any way to set the gyro as a mouse without having to use the gyro as right stick?
Hey, the smart translator technology provides a better gyro translation than native gyro support. So in Fortnite i would recommend to not use the native support as the Nexus gyro translation performs better and provides more accurate results than using a DualSense with native support. In games without native support you just pick the corresponding XIM Nexus config and follow the recommended ingame settings from the XIM website. And yes on PC you can do that via reWASD. You can find a video guide in the XIM Nexus Forum.
@@XIMCentral I'm sorry, but I do have to disagree. The gyro support in Fortnite was handcrafted by Jibb Smart himself and has absolutely everything good gyro needs. You can play on any sensitivity and any acceleration, any curve, any deadzone, smoothing, tightening, different sensitivity per mode (scoping and ads, etc) and none of it affects your stick sens. I've been using gyro for a year and have gotten above average mouse scores in Kovaak's and aim labs with gyro, and Fortnite gyro on console is even better than remapping gyro to mouse on PC. There's no way remapping the gyro to a stick with forced deadzones and low res can yeild the same results as remapping the gyro to a mouse with no limitations
@@idkrossplay Im curious, ave you already played with a Nexus in Fortnite? It sounds a little bit like you havent. What i wrote is a common oppinion of users from the XIM Forum who have tried both, native and Nexus. It doesnt matter how refined a software has been coded if the hardware is not good enough to handle it. The gyro of the DualSense is not amazing. Not when compared to Nexus. And the software running on Nexus is also better than the gyro solution coded into Fortnite. Anything you described can be configured easier and with greater detail via the Nexus manager. Plus you do not need to spend hours in getting good results. Let me know when you have tried both Nexus and native. Until then this discussion feels like one side tries to convince the other side.
@@XIMCentral Rather than telling people "buy my product or you're wrong", maybe you should explain how it is possible for a solution with more limitations to be better than a solution without them? People ask questions to get informed before making a purchase, not to be told they're a sheep for not having already bought into whatever you're selling.
I have a sneaky suspicion anyone claiming nexus gyro is more accurate plays with aim assist on and most likely hasn't been playing with gyro for 4+ years like the pc remapping communities, which I know they're not a part of because I'm part of them. People will also often idealise the product they paid for if they're at least reasonably satisfied with it. Post-purchase rationalization is the term I believe, and we all know it from the always present console wars.
@@XIMCentral I've been using gyro for a year on PC and switch. And yes I have the Nexus. I am planning to do a review of the controller next week. The dualsense has the best gyro on the market, and it's really hard to tell the quality of the Nexus gyro since it is always fighting against me. I think "all" the people in your thread are using fortnite aim assist which basically aims for you, so when they use real gyro it feels bad to them

Hey, no new XIM Apex batch is being produced or planned at the moment. The semi-conductor/silicon shortages make it impossible to create new stock at the moment. I cannot tell you why Stealth-Gamer released such an info but i assume its a fault in their system. Or they bought up used units and sell them as refurbished XIMs?

Hey, that would go into scripting teritory and is considered cheating in the PSN and XBL ToS. It would be kinda risky to add something like that.

Yes it does, Nexus uses the same Smart Translator technology to achieve this as XIM4 and XIM Apex.
i have asked this on another xim channel (modsquadau). if anoter version will be made in the future, then i think it would be nice to also use hall effect sensors for the sticks. i understood that the nexus has hall effect triggers right now and that hall effect thumbsticks would be more expensive. butl my research has tought met that hall effect thumbsticsk will only be around 1 dollar more expensive per controller. i understand that even one dollare would make it more expensive by a couple of thousand in the entire production procces. and ofcourse the rd expense. but the rd would be done either way if there is going to be another xim nexus in the future. plus you would be one of the few who implement it. And i learned that somehow gulikit has patented hall effect sticks, wich is strange because older controllers used this aswell.
One option would be to offer hall effect replacement kits. this would also profide xim with more income/ budget for deveopment aswell. for example gulikit has an hall effect stick module for steamdeck that people can use, and the deck is not even out that long and they are still selling those already. just my quick thoughts thoug.
One feauture i would like on the current version of nexus would be passtrhough for pc, so whe can get mouse gyro aim on pc. mouse aim gyro in my opion is always better then stick gyro. and the nexus would stand out on pc because you would not have to configure the settings on steam or ds4 window or rewasd.
One thing i would lioke if xim made more explanation video''s for people on how to use custom aim curves and how to use the general st for unsopprted games. In my opion xim is making the same mistake as valve with the steam controller. valve never made video's on how to make custom settings and explainer video''s on how to use the steam controller. they should have made configs for popular games so some of the target demographic could jusst plug and play and other that where willing to make their onw config and share those could do so aswell. they completly relied on the community to do this for them. plus if Xim makes more video's and tutorials than the nexus would become more popular and sell even better. more people would use the nexus if they where just be more exposed to the fact that motion aiming is better then the crutches that game devs use to make stick aim better.
quick final question. what other controllers are you reffering to. i have never found another controller thal lets me use forced gyro on pretty much all consoles. brook adapter for example only gives gyro aim on the xbox controller when you use it on another console/pc. gulikit kong kong pro lets you use it on pc with stick emulation, and severely limited gyro activation methods. not to mention my king kong pro2 does not work correctly.

@@XIMCentral in the video you sain mentioned that a few features that nexus had that other controllers that use motion aim dont. what other controllers even compair to the nexus in terms of granting people motion aim on multiple different consoles. some controllers offer motion aim for switch, aswell as pc and android devices, like the gulikit king kong pro 2 controller. but i never found another controller that works with motion controls on xbox as well as most ps4 games. So that is what i meant when i aksed wich other controllers are you referring to. to my knowledge there are now other companies that make controller that can use motion aim on multplie different consoles. Hope this explanation helps
@@caleasthetic Oh i see. There is no controller that offers this, Nexus is the only controller that lets you use gyro aiming in any console game. My comment was referring to other, more general features of Nexus. Such as Smart Actions, being able to recalibrate your sticks, triggers or gyro, being able to assign curves that do not run on top of the games aim mechanic, ...
There are some gyro controllers who offer similar features but usually in a far worse way.

Does this work with rainbow six seige? And I could be completely wrong but will it change your recoil to as if you were play mouse and keyboard? If so I am buying!
Yes and yes. Nexus offers Smart Actions with which you can completely remove the weapon recoil. See my other Nexus videos for more details on that! :)

Damn that’s some serious stuff. Xim is truly bringing hardware to the next level. Xbox controllers have nothing compared to this, and they bring input options to different platforms to unify hardware (mnk on console where games don’t have mnk support, viable controller like nexus which can be used with pc players thanks to gyro aim). They’re truly shaping gaming to a new level.
How is build quality? I want to use it for Multiverses due to the Nexus being in the unique position for special button binding options as well as using motion to attack. Extremely interested in the controller but say I didn't plan to use Gyro and I was comfortable with standard mapping options. Is the Nexus still going to be worth it over a Battle Beaver or SCUF? It's rewlly important to me that the controller will last
Triggers alone are really well designed though.
Hey the build quality is identical to an Xbox One controller. The Nexus is the only controller where you can re-run the trigger and stick calibration (and even manually adjust it). So if you ever start to get a stick drift you can remove it within a few seconds.

Is there a feature that allows you to swap the x axis of each joystick? That creates the legacy stick layout that I use for most games.
Hey, there is an experimental firmware for legacy, you must register in the XIM Forum to get it though. Once you are registered write a PM to this profile and you will get the legacy beta firmware. Hey can you toggle auto sprint in games that dont have this feature implemented? I use zen just for this feature alone but this damn device disconnects way too often and im getting tired of running back and forth to re-connect the way it wants.
Yes you can absolutly do that with Smart Actions. And you could initiate it with any button or stick press too if you want to. Also i would not recommend to use a Zen in conjunction with a XIM since the Zen will add 10 milliseconds of delay. With motion aiming thats quite noticeable imo.
Will be performing tons of controller tests with the Nexus… hoping it enhances aiming precision as aim assist is a joke!

Yes that is possible, currently up to 3 buttons can be bound to one back button.

This is currently being worked on but there is no progress or ETA to share. The XIM Team is currently fully focusing on releasing Nexus.

Mein Controller kam heute endlich an, jedoch funktioniert mein Gyro Aim gar nicht, egal was ich mache. Ich hab den Controller mit der Hilfe vom Starterguide angeschlossen und alles genauso gemacht wie er, aber trotzdem funktioniert mein Gyro Aim nicht. Ja ich habe den Classic Mode aktiviert/deaktiviert, ich habe den kompletten Nexus Manager abgesucht aber trotzdem keine Lösung gefunden. Im Starterguide video ging sein Motion aim sofort ohne irgendwelche Einstellungen vornehmen zu müssen sobald er ins ADS geht und bei mir tut sich halt einfach gar nichts egal was ich mache, brauche hilfe
Kann leider seit etlichen Jahren keinen XIM Forum account erstellen, da ich keine Bestätigungsmail bekomme nach der Regristrierung. Das Problem habe ich schon seit knapp 3 Jahren aber da ich bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt nie Probleme mit irgendwelchen XIM Produkten hatte brauchte ich den Forum Account auch nie aber jetzt wäre er bitter nötig, da ich sonst nicht weiß was ich mit meinem Controller machen soll.

stell in deiner Nexus Config die Motion Aktivierung auf Engange/Toggle und drücke im Anschluss die mittlere Taste auf dem Nexus Controller. Funktioniert das Motion Aiming dann? Was den Forum-Account angeht, konstenlose E-Mail Hoster wie GMX sind im XIM Forum gesperrt da diese gern für Spambots benutzt werden. Versuche es einfach mit einem anderen E-Mail Hoster. Alternativ einer der wenigen kostenlosen Hoster die nicht gesperrt sind ist GMail (Google Mail).

Right now its wireless only, a wired mode will be added soon via a firmware update.

You can use a cable too, by default it will communicate wireless to the Nexus Adapter.
Universal sensitivity seems impossible because some games(ex cod) have high sensitivity's possible and some games (ex halo) don't. No matter the controller you can't increase the max turn speed right?
Most controller players dont play with insanely high stick sensitvities, the average controller player runs on around 30-50% of the maximum turnspeed. Because of that you get a lot more leverage to work with, the max sensitivity of Halo might be equal to 30-50% of the CoD turnspeed. So unless you are a stick player who prefers to play with maxed out sensitivity you will most likely be capable to use a unified stick sensitivity.
I hope the support for XIM APEX won't stop any time soon, Since I can't play with a controller xD

about xim apex is high dpi good or low dpi with the same sensitivity ? i tried both of it in overwatch and i dont see much of a difference
After about 4k you won’t see much difference. I have mine at like 3400. My in game sens though hip fire is 200. I play at 500hz for consistency. Overwatch movement speeds are slower than other games in general. Just gotta get it as fast as you can.

XIM Apex cannot be produced at the moment due to the semi-conductor/silicon shortages around the world. The screenshot issue should be solved by updating your XIM Firmware.

I feel like the beck buttons should be in the rear of the controller not in the middle because some people have small hands and it will make some user uncomfortable to stretch out their hands in the center
Hey, the Nexus isnt a large controller and even the alpha testers with small hands can easily reach all back buttons. A different location of the back buttons could result in gyro/motion accuracy reduction. You need a good grip for motion and traditional "back paddle" locations dont work for that.

Hey, you can issue a repair request within the XIM Store. New stock can currently not be produced due to the semi-conductor/silicon shortages around the world. So repairing your XIM might be the best position at the moment.

So yes there is a good chance, though it also depends on how much demand there still is when the situation has changed. So please express your interest in the XIM Forum for that :).

Nexus does not have trigger stops, though you can freely bind any trigger percentage to any action of your choice (or several actions).

Hey, please shut down your phone completely and start it again. This solves Bluetooth pairing issues. After that press and hold the up/down button on your Nexus while your manager searches for it.

ADS motion activation isn’t working- gyro only works when in toggle mode. Could it be because of the hair triggers?
@@lionofallah3441 Hey, please re-run the calibration so we can rule out a faulty factory calibration. Go into the global settings, then calibration. First do the top one, then the bottom one. Let me know if that solves your issue.

@@hazemameen4268 Its a feature that will reset the trigger the moment you release it just a tiny bit, which allows you to instantly shoot again.
Is that controller better then a cronus zen ?
Both are different devices. The Zen is a mouse and keyboard adapter (and doesn't really do a great job in that) while the XIM Nexus is a controller. You will perform better with the device you feel more comfortable with.

@@thegaminghobby7088 Hey, if that also happens with other USB ports on the PC i would recommend to try a different machine or deactivate the anti virus software for a brief moment to check if that caused it.

@@thegaminghobby7088 Customers tend to have issues with those. A USB 2.0 port should work for sure though. What i would recommend is to create a support ticket on the XIM Website, the support engineers will surely have a few more ideas on what you can try to solve this problem! :)

Hey, Videos auf deutsch wird es vorerst nicht geben da es dazu einfach zu wenig Zuschauer sind bei zu viel Aufwand. An der PS5 Kompatibilität wird aktuell gearbeitet, bis dahin kannst du aber den Nexus Controller mit einem Beloader oder Sony Remote Play in PS5 Spielen benutzen :).

Hey, just follow the steps from my most recent Apex Legends config video to get it back. Its not a good idea though, the old ST performs worse under the new RB6 aim mechanic update than the new one. With some adjustments the new one clearly outclasses the old one. Might do a new tutorial on that soon on what adjustments are necessary for that.
