@@risitasracing1 PS5 players are not being ignored, its more about Sony only allowing the DualSense controller to be used in PS5 games. You could also say that Razer or Logitech ignore their PS5 fans because neither of the two released a PS5 controller so far. The truth is that these companies face the same issue as the XIM and thats why there hasnt been any PS5 device from then yet. The only one to blame here is Sony.
This has the potential to blow up much bigger than the xim apex ever did, can you imagine going on to pro controller players twitch streams typing !controller and nightbot responding with: Xim Nexus 🔥🔥
Not only that, but the accuracy you can achieve with this device is so good that it could even change the whole controller vs mouse debate on consoles! :)

@@Iaintsayinnothin.. Oh god, please turn off Aim Assist. The whole idea behind Gyro Aiming is to have mouse like accuracy without relying on Aim Assist.
Also, another potential product like this that would be good to release for disabled people (with hand and wrist issues like tendinitis) would be a split controller where one half has a gyro sensor (and they can be swapped left and right. Like two nunchucks. Having the gyro on one side would drastically reduce the weight and be easier on the wrist, while the gyro itself would be easier on the fingers. Perhaps adjustable length for people with smaller or larger hands.
Currently a few controllers on the market have gyros, but the controllers themselves are heavy, and you have to tilt the entire controller for motion, which affects how you use the rest of the buttons. And it can also add unnecessary strain on the offhand.
I think such a product would also get a lot of mainstream use, as it would essentially be the most immersive FPS controller possible without going to VR.
Paddles are also helpful on motion controls

This is a idea that I really hope that would be possible with the controller on console
The option to have the gyro mapped to mouse. The reason why is because certain games like Warframe, support both controller and mouse input at once on both PC and console.
I like the idea of having gyro in any console game but if a game like Warframe on console, supports mixed input. I want the option to instead have the gyro mapped to be a mouse instead of emulating a right stick. For games like Warframe you'll be able to definantly use the gyro as a mouse totally fine with the controller and have no issue with it. I've done it before, xbox controller in the left hand, mouse on the right for the xbox version.
I'm suggesting this feature because it would mean we can customize the gyro to be as low or as high as possible for games that support both inputs at once on console. Gyro doesn't need to be just for adjusments, with medium to high sensitivity and practice it becomes a full mouse replacment so it'd be a waste to exclude it to just adjusments with no option for a bit more than that.
I really hope the controller will allow the option on console to switch between stick gyro and mouse gyro. If we can do both its defiantly a 10/10 gyro controller for me.

I knew it was going to be a controller. next they should create their own keyboard and mouse because the accessories and Logitech software cause the most confusion when new users are trying to setup their XIM

the XIM devices work beautifully, but so many get frustrated and give up because the accessories they are trying to use are causing them problems. the XIM team already buys and rents every game to train and build the smart translators.. there's no way they can be expected to buy every accessory.. mouse/keyboard and provide detailed instructions to get each of them to work properly with the XIM. it sucks. I hate it, but that's where we are.
As an enthusiast of the steam controller and someone who loves gyro aiming, I’m intrigued but I have 2 big questions
1. How exactly do you translate joystick motions to smooth gyro aiming for a wide variety of games? Each game programs it’s aiming very differently with its deadzones, acceleration curves, etc. Through steam input, if I can’t get raw mouse aim mapped to the gyro it’s unpleasant using controller inputs mapped to gyro.
2. How exactly does the gyro feel in games with heavy aim assist you can’t turn off? I find that games that use reticle friction on targets to be good for sticks, but unpleasant for gyro because it doesn’t feel like a 1-1 movement anymore when my crosshair is over a target.
That’s been the biggest issue I’ve found when using gyro aiming while outputting gamepad controls.
Hey, here are your answers:
1) This is achieved via the smart translator technology of the XIM. It ensures that you have the best possible movements and no acceleration when using the motion aiming. Its the same technology that XIM Apex uses to achieve its mouse movements, for more information on that and how it solves the problem of the different aim mechanics of games please read the development blog post that i linked in the video description! :)
2) Im not sure how difficult aim assist is with current gyro aiming solution on the market but so far i havent had a single instance with the Nexus in which the aim assist bubble resulted in a barrier, or a hurdle that i had to overcome to get on target. I tried a lot of different games including those with lots of aim assist and its aim assist interaction wasnt any different to those of controller sticks.
This is an enormous step forward for XIM, I honestly can’t wait for what else will follow since the XIM Nexus seems to have the most optimized parts you would want in a controller that not even scuf could offer. Everyone should know that we are in good hands. Take care everyone.
I'd say this thing will really shine for FPS games with lots of vertical aiming. I'm hardcore mouse and keyboard so I'm not sure if this is for me but it's really impressive. This is going to be huuuge.
Also would do good in horizontal aiming too.

This will really help mobile payers that use gyroscope on their games to get into console gaming because some of my friends like to use motion controls on mobile games but they aren’t as good with analog this will probably be a live saver for some I can’t wait to try it out my self
I played all three over the years, pc console and mobile and mobile gyroscope is definitely the most immersive and fun to master.

This is crazy, I think I made a post last year on the Xim forum asking for/predicting a controller that had the customization and tunability of the Xim apex🔥🔥 My only issue is I wish there was a PS layout version of the controller, recently switched to gaming on ds4 after being on an xbox controller for years and I find ds4 layout muchhh better.

Excellent. I haven't had experience with xim before, but I heavily use steam controller features and wonder about a few things:
1) all the "elite" controllers only allow the back buttons to emulate one of the standard xinput buttons, rather than a macro or even a keyboard button (on pc). Does the xim manager allow remapping the back buttons to unique inputs not only xinput?
2) when paired with pc, is the gyro motion engine able to emulate mouse input or only joystick axis? This is both for compatability concerns (many pc games do not support xinput) and for the elimination of aim assist (some pc games detecting xinput will then engage aim assist and that is sometimes undesirable).
Hey, happy to see that you found out about the Nexus! :) As for your questions:
1) Right now the Nexus only allows you to bind actual controller buttons to all of its buttons, but that doesnt have to stay that way. If you would like to see a possibility to bind other actions/buttons to it please share your feedback in the XIM Nexus sub forum, so the XIM Devs can consider it for the next firmware! :)
2) Yes this is indeed an issue, especially with games that dont support controllers. Im not allowed to talk about that yet but i can assure you that this has been considered during the development process of the Nexus. Im sure more will be unveiled in regard to that in the upcoming weeks! :)

But what about Dishonest people that use this Controller but don't disable Aim Assist on COD?
Nexus is a regular controller with a few features on top, why would it be dishonest to use aim assist with it?
@@XIMCentral Gyro + Aim Assist is like Mouse + Aim Assist. Aim assist is intended to overcome shortcomings with stick aim. Using aim assist with mouse/gyro is borderline cheating (and actually illegal in tournaments).
@@CorrosiveCitrus Its not illegal and whoever claims that has not read the XBL or PSN ToS. What a tournament organization dictates as cheating is a different story, but no XIM product does violate the console ToS and therefore you cannot get banned for using them. To me it would be stupid to not use aim assist, it provides an extra layer of accuracy that boosts your stick + gyro skills to a whole new level. The XIM Devs have spent a lot of time when codeing the gyro smoothing feature of the Nexus to allow the user to tweak their gyro experience perfectly to the aim assist of the game.
@@XIMCentral You didn't read my comment properly - Illegal in tournament play - meaning; not permitted for use at an organised competitive event.
You don't need aim assist with gyro as gyro gives you 1:1 movement, just like a mouse. That's why games that have good native gyro controls, such as Fortnite, disable aim assist while gyro is active.
In fact, with games with weak aim assist, such as Fortnite, aim assist only gets in the way of the 1:1 aiming. Imagine using a mouse to aim but your crosshair is pulled to one side and your sensitivity is changed right as you're about to do a micro-correction. It's essentially the same thing.
As for smoothing, once you are proficient with the gyro, you would disable all smoothing entirely, but it is good for beginners.
Of course, there's other factors getting in the way of a true 1:1 experience, as the controller is translating the gyro movements into joystick movements to send to the game which is an imperfect solution, therefore aim assist may help these drawbacks.
Until more games implement good native gyro controls, this is what we have to do.
As there is no gyro passthrough however, even a game implementing native gyro would still have these issues with the XIM Nexus unfortunately.
@@CorrosiveCitrus Are tournmanets really that relevant though? I assume less than 10% of Nexus customers are interested in tournmanets, and probably less than 1% would want to compete in LAN tournaments where the used hardware can actually be verified by the tournament organizer. The vast majority of XIM users are console players, and there its not illegal to use a gyro + aim assist.

The PS5 issue is being looked into, for now you can use Remote Play for PS5 games or stick to the PS4 version until a better solution has been found. XIM Apex will continue to be the Nr. 1 mouse adapter of the XIM Company :).

The possibilities are endless, but I'm also a slightly bit concerned of people utilizing this for less honorable actions. Other than that, this would be a great welcome for me as I suck with planes specifically and this function alone would make it more controlled by the actual controller's motion which IMO feels more natural when it comes to flying in games.

How does it play with aim assist? Does it suffer from the same issues as M/KB does at times?
Works much much better with the aim assist as you can probably see in this video already. These targets all have aim assist, with a mouse it would be very difficult to replicate such a clip, or you would at least have to focus and try quite hard, but with the Nexus it basically effortless.
So are you literally pointing the controller and not using the thumb stick to aim? Like on PS5?
Yes and yes! For the latter i recommend XIM Matrix which also offers gyro aiming to controller + works on the PS5!

At the moment not a single device outside of the DualSense works with the PS5, but maybe that will change in the next few months.
Is this X-input? I currently use a steam controller for the Gyro, but it has compatibility issues with many games that Xbox controllers don’t have. And it is a hassle to set-up. Whereas Xinput is almost always native.
Gyros are a huge boon to my hands, as the tendon near my thumb gets injured very easily, and don’t fine-aiming with my arms/wrists is so much easier on my hands.

This is converting gyro to joystick right?
I've tried this with my Steam Controller using Steam Inputs "mouse-joystick" conversion and have found it to be rather lackluster. Top speed is capped by games joystick sensitivity, for instance. Also aim assist doesnt feel great with an absolute device such as mouse or gyro (cursor doesnt go where I want it).
For games that support it, or on pc, will it have a raw gyro or mouse mode in general? If not...

Yes Nexus natively sends joystick inputs so you are limited by the maximum turnspeed of a controller, though there is also an option for emulating mouse inputs. I may have to try that next in aimlabs. For the record, see the other comments where i replied on that.
@@XIMCentral please definitely try a few rounds with it in proper mouse mode. Mouse mode will allow the gyro to perform at its natural best.
I have no doubt that newer hardware means your gyro is better specced than prior controllers. And I also dont doubt XIMs translation is better than Steams. But translating mouse input to joystick input puts restrictions on what its capable of. I would like to see what your controller can REALLY do.

How much do you need to use the right hand stick? Is is more to contribute to subtle movements?
That depends on how you want to play, you can either use the stick like you always would and add motion aiming on top of it, or you primarily aim with motion and the sticks are just for fast turns, or you go for something else. You have full freedom in that regard! :)
Looks great. But any news on when the Xim Manager is going to be fixed, I still can't play any games because the app keeps crashing when trying to use it.

That depends on if a solution for the PS5 can be found, as it is right now no device other than the DualSense works with that console.

You have several options to choose from that will activate the motion/gyro aiming accordingly, it will all feel super natural similar how it does with the XIM Apex! :)

Hey, shortages around the world (especially in the semi conductor field) are causing problems for the XIM stock too. Theres no ETA on when new XIMs can be purchased but this is being worked on fulltime to ensure there are new XIMs to buy as soon as possible!
Question, will xim have ps5 controller compatibility in the future? Since you can't play the ps5 version of siege with a xim anymore and I have a cable that works to plug the ps5 controller in the xim but it's not compatible yet

Maybe, that remains to be seen. For now you can use Remote Play for the PS5 version together with your XIM, or you play the PS4 version instead.

Apex is a mouse and keyboard adapter and Nexus a controller, so there is now a XIM product for both markets! :)
I wonder if this will work on games that don't support gyro aiming . I also tried this before and it felt weird as hell, i couldn't aim with it. I tried it on PS4 with paladins
Just like the XIM Apex the Nexus and its motion aiming will work in any game. But the best outcome will always be in games with supported XIM Apex/Nexus configs! Also the quality of the Nexus gyro aiming is far far better than anything else out there! :)

i love the controller model but i dont know if i would be comfortable using the motion control with the way i hold the controller, and i play with bumper jumper on all fps games so not sure if this would work for me
Hey, bumper jumper works too, though since you have 4 back buttons at hand you may not be required to go for a bumper jumper layout.

@@xezerik62 Precise gyro inputs are not really possible with traditional paddles, they work against a stable and firm controller grip. Hence back buttons have been decided on. Those also have a faster and more responsive activation registration.

I would actually need to check back on that as currently it wouldnt work as an authentication controller.

For now no controller other than the DualSense works for CoD Vanguard. We dont know if that will change though. Also, as of today a potentially new PS5 solution has been discovered too, maybe that will work out as well. Until the controller is fully out a lot of things can happen! :)

Is there anyway to use the xim 4 or apex now to have a PS4 controller work normally on PS4/5 but also enable the gyroscope as well?
For a feature like that please express your interest in the XIM Feedback Forum as future firmware feature updates like that are only considered over there. Though i would already like to mention that the gyro of the DS4 is not that good, the experience might not be on the level where you want it to be.
@@XIMCentral I've used the gyro on the ds4 and ds5 on steam along with the steam controller and they feel quite good to me but not as good as with mobile phone. I like the extra weight of the ds5 and ds4 compared to the steam controller. Gives l seams to give me more control/resistance to the micro adjustments.

Its being looked into, for now either use Remote Play for the PS5 version or play the PS4 version :).

With the new compatibility adapter yes, it should. Other solutions are being worked on as well.

No third party device can currently support the PS5 as Sony doesnt want that, which includes big companies such as Razer or Logitech too. Theres not a single third party PS5 controller on the market yet... :( But the XIM Devs will of course continue to look into the matter to find a way to add PS5 compatibility.

Do I need a pc to hook this controller up
You only need a PC to update its firmware (or a Mac). Everything else can be done through the phone manager.
Does gyro aiming remove aim assist?
No it doesnt, but you can turn it off in the in-game settings of most games if it annoys you.
