- I had been looking for a replacement for my Logitech rudder pedals for quite some time. I would have gone for the Honeycomb Charlie rudders but I did not want to wait that long. So I bought the Thrustmaster Pendular Rudder or TPR pedals. At $599, these pedals are not cheap. But they have fantastic reviews online and are easy to adjust. In this video, I unbox, assemble, and connect the pedals and try them out in XPlane.

Just as a heads up...5:47 Looking at the 3 cables on the back, the one that goes to the top of the long bar...The little square box where the cable goes in is where the "Hall Sensor" is If you look at carefully you will see it from underneath, check occasionally for dust and stuff. If you have pets the pet hair and dust can collect there, don't ask me how I know...Weird things start happening with calibration.
Oh dang! Did not realize there's a chip at the bottom of that plate just above the silver bar. I see it now that I know to look for it. Will keep an eye on it - thanks a lot for this info!
@@StudentPilot4Life You bet...
YES!
Loving it so far!!
Waiting for more.
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment. This is great motivation for me to produce more content!
Hello there. I do not have extra usb A type connector. Is it possible for you to measure the length of the cable the pedals comes with? I have a feeling it will be too short for my desk setup. Thanks if you could.
It’s about 6.5 ft.
At that price, how come you didnt get a VIRPIL or WinWing ?
Most of the reviews I had come across were for the TPR, and almost every review was positive. I did come across some mentions of Virpil but not enough to sway my buying decision. WinWing looks interesting, I wasn’t actually aware of this brand until you mentioned it. I’ll have to look into their products more.
@@StudentPilot4Life I know a lot of sim enthusiasts that opt for these two brands, as the hardware is beyond amazing. Pricey, but you get your money's worth! Also on thel 'lower' budget there's VKB.
PS: I'm not against Thrustmaster. TPR is great, but 1for the amount of money spent, you can get much more better.
