I lost my virginity later than most in life and I have to say it was a big lesson in not holding things on a pedestal. In my country, they recently did a study of over 1000 people and 70% of respondents aged 18-30 were virgins. It's not a huge sample size but anecdotally from people I know back home, I would agree with the results EDIT: Country is Malaysia and the study was done by Durex. There were a couple of times in my life when I had trouble meeting women & these were due to a range of issues I'd rather not go into here. But I never blamed women for this. These were my insecurities & problems & from the onset I understood that blaming others for my difficulties was not the way to go forward. I wanted to overcome them. Not wallow in them. Eventually everything worked out fine. Why some people feel the need to project their issues onto other people, to the point of becoming murderous, is beyond me. I have a brother whose claim is that he's a victim of the women's movement, and that's why he hasn't been able to work for the last 15+ years while he sits, alone, on his computer in my Mom's basement 24/7/365 at 38. I have always sought the correct wording for his ideology, as he's not exactly a full Incel. Vice introduced me to the 'manosphere' and it's lingo, and I am forever grateful for this. I am always afraid that he's going to pick up guns and shoot his way to the end, but there's absolutely no one to contact that will put him on a Watch list. When I contacted the local police (Kenosha, Wisconsin) after one of his violent episodes where he inflicted self harm (and threatened to frame his sister for it), they did absolutely nothing to help get my Mom or myself safely away from him. Their response to his self inflicted injuries was that it wasn't a crime, and encouraged me to get as far away from him as possible. Literally, every mass shooting I hold my breath and become frantic until I am certain that it hasn't occured in my own state. If it hasn't happened in my state, it's not him. He's not a matter of If, but a matter of When. There's absolutely no one in this country that gives a hoot about shutting down this kind of violence. The interesting thing is: I see both political movements - online feminism/ifeminism (as opposed to all other types of feminism) and the manosphere as being two sides of the same traumatised, jaded coin. Both sides have very unhealthy views towards each other. I don't think the manosphere hates feminism because of the equality that it has brought women necessarily. I think it's more that they feel like women have an ego to them these days that they "dont deserve". They feel that this "ego" leads them to act in very liberated ways. As a result, I see the manosphere feels less able to control they circumstances around them. As women are being encouraged to be sexually liberated and independent girlbosses, the manosphere sees they feel like they can no longer trust women in an intimate relationship and this kills them emotionally. They tend to see society as being turned into a bunch of promiscuous degenerates, who value sex higher than everything, and are willing to forgo all dignity/morals to get it. At the end of the day, the reality is that their lack of trust in women is born from these people not seeking the right traits in a partner. They go for girls who are "hot", rather than going "I'm sexually attracted to that girl, but if I'm going to give my time to her, I need to be sure that she also has strength of character". They've been convinced that hot girl A has "high value" and that purely because of their physical attractiveness, their opinion of the sex appeal of others is given credibility/merit to the point of being a universal fact and their personal opinion holds weight. They don't have the ability to say: hot girl A broke up with/cheated on me because either A) I wasn't a good partner or B) she doesn't have good self-esteem and that she values the validation of others more than a building a relationship with one person. Often they also have this same self esteem problem and so attempt to sleep around with these types of women (and not a suitable woman), for the women's validation. Like attracts like.

Empathy. If theyre a friend, simply listen to them, try to genuinely understand what they are thinking and feeling, whats on their mind; build on the depth of relationship you have with them. Call to the good nature within them. If they are open to it, suggest counselling/psychotherapy with a qualified professional/agency that they click with. Also, recognise that we are in a time of ideological tension in our culture at the moment (left/right, feminine/masculine, progressivism/conservativism). BOTH sides have their dysfunctional ideas. Vice happens to be pretty radically left wing and progressive, they are about as far from the center as many of the right wing groups they criticise. Dont assume just because someone is challenging a left wing/progressive idea or exploring conservative ideas that they are idiologically possessed (you may not be, but worth considering). With the issue of men/male roles in particular, Warren Farrel is worth a read. But yeah, besides that, as a friend, the best thing you can do is genuinely and honestly listen and express your understanding. Thats my experience anyway, hope this helps 👍

In my country, they recently did a study of over 1000 people and 70% of respondents aged 18-30 were virgins. It's not a huge sample size but anecdotally from people I know back home, I would agree with the results

I am baffled and shocked on how these young men view sex. They literally think that it's the women's fault for not wanting to have sex with them. Mind you I was thinking exactly like them during my college years but I try to snap out of it by actually try to improve myself and explore other things, for instance I am an animal lover and I started rescuing stray animals from the side of the road. There were a couple of times in my life when I had trouble meeting women & these were due to a range of issues I'd rather not go into here. But I never blamed women for this. These were my insecurities & problems & from the onset I understood that blaming others for my difficulties was not the way to go forward. I wanted to overcome them. Not wallow in them. Eventually everything worked out fine. Why some people feel the need to project their issues onto other people, to the point of becoming murderous, is beyond me. Probably the best approach to dealing with this behaviour is to teach people from a young age that sexual fulfillment is not necessarily the most important thing in life. They should also be warned not take other people's expectations of them. too seriously. Everybody is different. Some people engage with sex very early on. For others it may take a lot longer. Stop teaching young guys that they have to be sexual dynamos to be men.
Cause it's easy to do so. These guys don't wanna take responsibility for their lack of hobbies and social skills and would rather blame women for all the issues. This same sort of behaviour is done by many groups conservatives blaming democrats and vice versa. Feminists blaming men for every single problem. I genuinely feel bad for these men because it’s clear that their parents dropped the ball somewhere. It’s extremely important to teach your children how to socialize, how to be likable, how to develop a personality, how to be interesting and curious, how to have coping skills, how to deal with disappointment, how to overcome challenges and how to make goals in your life. Essentially, with INCELS, I see a bunch of insecure men who were not given the proper tools to develop themselves is a way that makes them an attractive and high-value person in society. I once dated a guy who was extremely attractive but had a drinking problem. I later found out all of his siblings had drinking problems. I later discovered that their drinking was a way to disguise their social anxiety and poor social skills. When I met his parents, I realized very quickly where they got it from. Their parents isolated themselves from society and moved to a town with a population of 200 people because they didn’t like interacting with people. The mom was super anxious all the time and the dad was rude and damn near a misogynist. Their kids were really doomed from the start. They picked up all of their parents poor social skills and used alcohol as a way to help them endure it.

I have a brother whose claim is that he's a victim of the women's movement, and that's why he hasn't been able to work for the last 15+ years while he sits, alone, on his computer in my Mom's basement 24/7/365 at 38. I have always sought the correct wording for his ideology, as he's not exactly a full Incel. Vice introduced me to the 'manosphere' and it's lingo, and I am forever grateful for this.
I am always afraid that he's going to pick up guns and shoot his way to the end, but there's absolutely no one to contact that will put him on a Watch list. When I contacted the local police (Kenosha, Wisconsin) after one of his violent episodes where he inflicted self harm (and threatened to frame his sister for it), they did absolutely nothing to help get my Mom or myself safely away from him. Their response to his self inflicted injuries was that it wasn't a crime, and encouraged me to get as far away from him as possible.
Literally, every mass shooting I hold my breath and become frantic until I am certain that it hasn't occured in my own state. If it hasn't happened in my state, it's not him.
He's not a matter of If, but a matter of When.
There's absolutely no one in this country that gives a hoot about shutting down this kind of violence. He spends his days grooming the young men on 4chan, Discord and reddit, preparing them for violence against women.
For the record, my brother has physically injured my mother in his fits of rage with his fists. He has killed several of my pets over the course of my life. My mother is afraid to leave her home without her dog, because she doesn't believe that the dog will still be alive when she returns.
And there's literally no one who will either put him on a Watch list for weapons purchasing or protect my mother by getting him out of her home.

The interesting thing is: I see both political movements - online feminism/ifeminism (as opposed to all other types of feminism) and the manosphere as being two sides of the same traumatised, jaded coin. Both sides have very unhealthy views towards each other. I don't think the manosphere hates feminism because of the equality that it has brought women necessarily. I think it's more that they feel like women have an ego to them these days that they "dont deserve". They feel that this "ego" leads them to act in very liberated ways. As a result, I see the manosphere feels less able to control they circumstances around them. As women are being encouraged to be sexually liberated and independent girlbosses, the manosphere sees they feel like they can no longer trust women in an intimate relationship and this kills them emotionally. They tend to see society as being turned into a bunch of promiscuous degenerates, who value sex higher than everything, and are willing to forgo all dignity/morals to get it.
At the end of the day, the reality is that their lack of trust in women is born from these people not seeking the right traits in a partner. They go for girls who are "hot", rather than going "I'm sexually attracted to that girl, but if I'm going to give my time to her, I need to be sure that she also has strength of character". They've been convinced that hot girl A has "high value" and that purely because of their physical attractiveness, their opinion of the sex appeal of others is given credibility/merit to the point of being a universal fact and their personal opinion holds weight. They don't have the ability to say: hot girl A broke up with/cheated on me because either A) I wasn't a good partner or B) she doesn't have good self-esteem and that she values the validation of others more than a building a relationship with one person. Often they also have this same self esteem problem and so attempt to sleep around with these types of women (and not a suitable woman), for the women's validation. Like attracts like.

Empathy. If theyre a friend, simply listen to them, try to genuinely understand what they are thinking and feeling, whats on their mind; build on the depth of relationship you have with them. Call to the good nature within them. If they are open to it, suggest counselling/psychotherapy with a qualified professional/agency that they click with. Also, recognise that we are in a time of ideological tension in our culture at the moment (left/right, feminine/masculine, progressivism/conservativism). BOTH sides have their dysfunctional ideas. Vice happens to be pretty radically left wing and progressive, they are about as far from the center as many of the right wing groups they criticise.
Dont assume just because someone is challenging a left wing/progressive idea or exploring conservative ideas that they are idiologically possessed (you may not be, but worth considering). With the issue of men/male roles in particular, Warren Farrel is worth a read.
But yeah, besides that, as a friend, the best thing you can do is genuinely and honestly listen and express your understanding. Thats my experience anyway, hope this helps 👍

I wish it were discussed more without only one side of the argument being allowed. Let's have all sides including from "lncels" and m3n's rights activists to tell their side of the story. There obviously is a problem. Society is pushing many men over the edge. Blaming and judging them more isn't going to solve the problem.
But will they discuss the extremists feminist movement as well? I seriously doubt they will. Another hit piece on men, hence men’s current reactions and militant uprising. Stir up any group, any segment of society, this will happen.
