As someone who is addicted to the adventurers tome and various collectables especially mokokos, doing these things while questing, has been one of the most enjoyable leveling experiences I've ever had in an MMORPG. But yea if you aren't into those kind of things I can definitely understand why you'd dislike the leveling in this game.
I've been enjoying the game just through the leveling process. I'm about level 42 and overall I'm enjoying the experience. The story is pretty generic, but for me it's good. I like when the story revolves around the player being the badass hero. The questing does feel formulaic in each zone, but there is enough diversity and epic moments, where it keeps it interesting. I like the steady stream of leveling progression. I like that the world feels fully realized and fleshed out. That said, I feel like the only reason why I'm enjoying it so much is because I'm actively ignoring about half of the content in the game. I mean, my god, all the systems ... it's systems on top of systems on top of systems, on top of currencies, on top of currencies, on top of RNG, on top of RNG on top of RNG... Holy bejeezus ... it's like the developers think were toddlers that can't live without the constant bombardment of flashing lights and sounds. And if there isn't something to click or if we don't get a reward every 10 seconds, for even the most menial tasks (such as logging in, LOL), we'll just up and quit the game. It's crazy and it falls too much under the manipulative and predatory practices of freemium, mobile games. Of course, as a free to play game, I get it, and I can't really complain. I'm certainly getting my money's worth (which is $0 so far). However, it's just disappointing. I like the over all game play, combat, world maps/environment enough where if it weren't for all the freemium, mobile game style mechanics, I could probably see myself playing this game for a while. But unfortunately, they are way too obnoxious to ignore and can't see myself playing for too long. Who knows, maybe I'll get used to after grinding end game for a while. We'll see.
Same dude, I got in during early access and I'm still only level 42. I'm just taking my time, I kind of skimmed the side quests but I'm doing them unlike some people. You've probably gotten the boat by now, which is that first end game mind blowing experience. Really looking forward to the end game which is pretty well liked by most people. But I don't feel the need to rush there, I'm getting plenty done on my stronghold and getting a feel for crafting. I only get a couple hours a night if it isn't a weekend, so I kind of like the bite size progress I can make on a couple different systems at a time, and by the time I get back to it my energy is recharged. I could see the playtime limits annoying a lot of people who have a lot more time to sink into it at once.
The leveling experience in this game is a complete hit or miss, but for anyone playing now and wondering if it ever gets better/more engaging, yes it does. If you can make it to lv50 and finish Vern, the real game starts and you have access to a variety of game modes that are incredibly fun. There's a real difficulty spike as well, for those that believe the game is too easy. I know not everyone will make it that far, but for those that are on the fence, keep going! This games combat and classes are immaculate, and only truly shine once you begin T1 endgame.
@@Hosenbund1 Correction, most people that DO make it that far, are the same people that will play despite the other game flaws. That's why the new player experience hasn't been refined. Oddly enough I found the 1-50 to be the best of any recently popular mmo. Even skipping the majority of the story. New World and FF14 1-max lvl bored me to death.
Same, even if you’re skipping all the dialogue the game is always putting you against cool bosses and into awesome dungeons unlike most mmos where the leveling content doesn’t get near to being as fun.
The 0-50 story quest itself, with all the different classes you can plan, is already worth at least $20, but they're completely free. The endgame is basically a totally different game from the story quest.
Hey Lazy welcome to the party pal, I'm maining a Shadowhutner as well, from what i've read the demonic spec isn't as viable pre tier 2 due to gear stats and the need for specialization stat.

The fart sound at 15:35 made me laugh so much that I farted. Then I laughed even more. Then I farted again, it was an endless cycle of farting and laughing that continues to this day. My whole block choked to death as they heard the hysterical laughter of a man.
Almost all "quests" are completable in under 20 seconds. Monsters die in 1 hit and can't really hurt you. Boss fights are just stay out of the red zones on the ground. This is a mobile tap game, not a PC game.
Everything you just said is true for the first 10-15 hours of the game. So if your goal in an MMO is to have a really good leveling experience and not care about endgame (which is like 99% of the game) then your comments are true.
The levelling game up to 50 is made simple by design. Its to train you how to use your character well and learn the games mechanics. The difficulty ramps up after you get to the Vern region and unlock the endgame dungeons and raids.
You didn't upload for a month bro. I guess there weren't any interesting games to cover. Glad to see you upload again. Hope you upload more videos! Avid subscriber ! 👍
I’m not sure if it’s just me but I got overwhelmed by current state of game, I got lv 50 after doing all quests, the thing is it takes so damn long to access the game since queue is anywhere from 7 to 13k so you have to wait 2-4 hours to even start playing the game and you feel that you must make it worth it, 4 hours to play 30/1hr is too much, so I stopped playing for now, maybe later I return, when queues are smaller or when I got mental energy to star in another server
The grass is always greener on the other side - I started with a Gunlancer but had always been in love with a shadow hunter. I'm gonna play that next, then either a sorceress or a berserker
You can instantly go from 250 or whatever gearscore you are right now to 302 by doing a single chaos dungeon. After that, you can just spam daily crap while doing msq. Hope this helped.
Yup, also found the hard way that endgame doesn't start at level 50, since I did all the quests and ended up level 50 even earlier than you. I'm proposed to do a lot of stuff, but can't do anything since "you need to complete such and such quest" message pops up each time, my "Una task" menu item is still greyed out, I don't even have my final skills yet (one is level 50 but doesn't even appear when I press K), and when I try to join boss raids on the map I can't even damage the boss -- I'm told all my attacks are "blocked". So I guess I need to continue and complete all the main story...
Bloody love that you are loving the game as much as I am ! Also looks like you picked the right server.. mine is plagued with borked matchmaking and 5 hour queues 😭
Probably an unpopular opinion, but the "big abilities" to me are just a flood of bright graphics that end up meaning nothing in a wash of everyone else's lightshow acid trip graphics. I wish they were actually creative, instead of being just flashy. A lot of people mistakenly equate the lightshow with the damage they're doing to an artificially high pop of low HP mobs, which feeds you that "big damage" dopamine. After finishing the game, it just felt like a really beautifully polished set of psychology induced eastern mmo tropes. Fun for a while, no real long term life, which is sadly like most Korean MMOs.
I'd love for you to make a "back to the game" video for Mordhau. You did that a couple of times for GW2 and BDO for example. Mordhau really struggles with visibility and has 0 advertisement, a video from you would really help bring a good chunk of new players to the game I'm sure.
I thought the same thing on that grave digger quest. I was looking for humans, couldn't find any, then moused over the insects and questioned how they do it.
The only problem I'm having with Lost Ark so far is how they give you all these side-tasks and alternative playing options like Stronghold as you go...but you can't really do anything with them until lvl 50. Obviously I'm leveling WAY slower than others, what took you 5 hours took me three days, but it irks me that I have all these menus and activities and nothing to do with them yet.
You don't even have to be level 50 really you'll just be lv 50 by the time you get the quest unlock them. Annoys the hell outta me that you still don't unlock unlock everything.
The MSQ was like 📉📉💹💹💹📉📉 for me. But I'm really enjoying the actual end game. I dont like a bit of the grindyness it's a little much but overall its not bad.
There's actually no grindyness sadly, you finish everything you can do in a day in about 30 minutes. That's the only knock i have on the game, I finish my chaos dungs and guardian raids in a few min, then do the dailies and theres basically nothing i can do to progress after that. I wish I could grind something somewhere and keep playing the game, instead, you either jump on the alts to do the same things, or just quit for the day.
@@Mycrosss You should be farming mats by doing islands, as chaos dungeons, dailies and guardians arent the only source of it. Islands are a huge part of endgame as well and if you're neglecting it your missing out on plenty of mats
The level 30 boss sealed the deal for me on my first playthough it was then I knew this free MMO wouldn't be free for me anymore and I will support it with the monthly Premium cost absolutely addicting

I like that whales inject money into the game, means I can make more gold off of them by putting stuff on the AH.
@@Brosephv endgame ain’t fun at all. It’s more repetitive than anything, have fun doing dailies and everyday after u run out of materials to farm. And repeating that on your alt 7x times 🤣🤣
@@luffyACEGOD it's almost like every mmo has dailies or something. At least they're entertaining, guardians are fun, chaos dungeons are fun. You also have over a hundred islands with their own stories and rewards to complete. The weekly abysal dungeons are fun as fuck. And were just talking about T1, the vanilla experience. And we dont even have all the content unlocked for the English client. We still have legion and abysal raids to come and new difficulties to unlock for other content. But h8rs gunna h8
One of the most excruciating experiences for me.
Was waiting for this!
holy shit, i havent seen your videos in years, man you look great!
upon hitting level 26* for pvp not 50* Also you need the questline started which is near lvl 26-27 if doing main quests mainly
Havent watched LazyPeon for a while, but gawd dayum did he become a gigachad with that new haircut. My man looks like Thor.
Been waiting for this one
Got you to thank for making me play this! Cheers
Haha, me and several other people spent several minutes running around in circles looking for those "Gravediggers"... i thought the quest was bugged.
I could see the playtime limits annoying a lot of people who have a lot more time to sink into it at once.
it's p2w as hell and very bland
@@Sanctifires are you just gonna copy paste regurgitated drivel over and over you donkey. Might as well be a bot
This games combat and classes are immaculate, and only truly shine once you begin T1 endgame.
most people which dont make it that far are no mmo players anyways
@@Hosenbund1 Correction, most people that DO make it that far, are the same people that will play despite the other game flaws. That's why the new player experience hasn't been refined. "Real MMO" is not going through an unecessary slog and now coming here saying people have to play this slogs as punishment cause you did to. Its called bad early game design.
@@joaopinheiro4396 i dont remember any mmo which was way more engaging early on.. new world was interesting at start.. but we all know how that turned out.
@@Hosenbund1 If you think shit early game is a core feature of an MMO then idk why you re an MMO player. I haven't played every game out there and neither have you. Guild Wars 2 as a really enjoyable lvl experience. And when you reach endgame you can continue to play in a smiliar way as lvling after max level or do instance content.
@@joaopinheiro4396 i played guild wars 2.. its one of the only ones where i enjoyed the leveling experience.. but i dont like the endgame.
and i didnt mind the lost ark early game since u only need to do it once on your main char.. u can then boost all ur alt accounts up with gold.. which i can earn ingame
8:05 every one in the room looked at me and my buddy watching your vid, WTH hahaha.
12:15 "subscribe to my only bugs" LMAO.
Game looks great and you seem to be genuinely enjoying it. Also the face gains are real my dude!
thx for the video - great storyteller there :-) - still considering if I should continue pass level 18... cant decide and Elden Ring is coming soon ;-)
Then whys it got such bad metacritic user reviews? Also, if its free, and u dont spend money, then there's gotta be some big downsides.
@@blastofo Dude play it yourself before passing judgement. You're just making yourself look silly.
@@blastofoyou really shouldn't use reviews from metacritic to shape your opinion of the game
@@blastofo if you read the reviews most of them aren't about the game itself but the queues and locked servers
0:45 equalized arena PvP actually starts at level 26 I believe.
Bro Lost ark needs castle sieges pvp, you are big youtuber try to influence devs on that, we can even sign petition. That feature would be epic
The 0-50 story quest itself, with all the different classes you can plan, is already worth at least $20, but they're completely free.
The endgame is basically a totally different game from the story quest.
It’s rrly cool that u choosed ur main class like I would have done it
Hey Lazy welcome to the party pal, I'm maining a Shadowhutner as well, from what i've read the demonic spec isn't as viable pre tier 2 due to gear stats and the need for specialization stat.
That's Totalbiscuit :o
He's still with us!
Voice chat is still on by default, it must have kept your settings from beta, as I had to change it.
Love ur content peonnn!!!
Finally a Lost Ark content creator that is playing in SE Asia . How's the ping like playing from Thailand ?
I'm playing from Malaysia myself . Though the ping show is 200+ sometimes 280+ . It's does feel that high to me though , def playable .
8:06 Who recognizes the background melody?
Yep, that's why the video is edited rhis way. They didn't show the 15 hours of run A to B quest
Your opinion reeks hater cause it's "overrated" not because you actually played the game, but I get it the leveling experience isn't for everyone.
The levelling game up to 50 is made simple by design. Its to train you how to use your character well and learn the games mechanics. The difficulty ramps up after you get to the Vern region and unlock the endgame dungeons and raids.
@@Corusame Then that's a poor design. The best way to teach game mechanics is to have actual consequences for doing things the wrong way.
"Only bugs" was just awesome 😂
Yah really sucks that eu has gotten screwed over so hard. Have insta queues and no lag on na east :(
@@jaded-harper yeh dam. Didmt know thry dunked on eu so hard...
i love that you get a steam achievement for dying on a hoverboard. made me feel less bad for screwing up that storypart at the first try :D
Hope this helped.
thank you for your kind help, sir
Really enjoying these types of Series, like when you did New World
This ending is great.
Also looks like you picked the right server.. mine is plagued with borked matchmaking and 5 hour queues 😭
ngl that onlybugs joke got me :D
“Headstart people always get the best names in mmos” I beg to differ. My gun lancer is Ronbigjohn. He’s got the mutton chops.
You should revisit Dauntless, it’s a really fun game that has evolved a lot since you last covered it
Looking forward to more Lost Ark content.
I'd love for you to make a "back to the game" video for Mordhau. You did that a couple of times for GW2 and BDO for example. Mordhau really struggles with visibility and has 0 advertisement, a video from you would really help bring a good chunk of new players to the game I'm sure.
Looking forward to more
I thought the same thing on that grave digger quest. I was looking for humans, couldn't find any, then moused over the insects and questioned how they do it.
12:09 hands down best part of the video
The only problem I'm having with Lost Ark so far is how they give you all these side-tasks and alternative playing options like Stronghold as you go...but you can't really do anything with them until lvl 50. Obviously I'm leveling WAY slower than others, what took you 5 hours took me three days, but it irks me that I have all these menus and activities and nothing to do with them yet.
You don't even have to be level 50 really you'll just be lv 50 by the time you get the quest unlock them. Annoys the hell outta me that you still don't unlock unlock everything.
I actually turned off my platinum skin on pala as I wanted the visual gear progression leveling up
finally lost ark Journey is here
The MSQ was like 📉📉💹💹💹📉📉 for me. But I'm really enjoying the actual end game. I dont like a bit of the grindyness it's a little much but overall its not bad.
whats msq
@@whatever9274 main story quest, hes saying it was bad then went good then bad again.
Korean games will always have this kind of grind no way around
I saw your Dark Age of Camelot shorcut !
WE WANT YOUR IMPRESSIONS for the best MMO ever :)
8:00 i literally had the same thinking and same reaction and same satisfaction. LOL
4:17 *Insert oh no our table, its broken kid here*
The level 30 boss sealed the deal for me on my first playthough it was then I knew this free MMO wouldn't be free for me anymore and I will support it with the monthly Premium cost absolutely addicting
1-50 was rdally tedious but endgame is fun. I wish they added pvp rewards for our version
Hi everyone. I'm so glad that you've decided to share this content with us. I love your videos and I was checking your channel daily hoping for some content on lost ark.
I'm loving the game so far and I'm exited to see your opinion on the game.
Cheer's!
Glad your enjoying it! I paid for founders pack too, ended up not being able to play for 2 weeks because I chose to play zinnervale 🤣 but video would have been 30 hours of queueing and 4 hours of game play which is what I went through !
One thing, pvp unlocks at around level 26 now
Took me a solid hour to figure out that the "Gravediggers" were the insects flying around. Tried googling the quest walkthroughs and everything lol
You can do PvP when you get to Luterra castle, literally like lvl 26 i think is the earliest but don't waste your boosts if you just want to try PvP with a class!!
I'm pissed we can't play it in the Netherlands. I've waited for years...
