I found using the haakaa hurts as it's pulling too much of my areola into the mouth/ opening. It also feels as if it's pulling my glands down into my areola area and caused too much sensitivity... Any advice? And thank you for showing a better way to attach the device
Literally same thing is still happening to me, even tho I've got it to where it's not hurting anymore....it's going deeep down in there lol, I use a 30 or usually 36 flange for the electric pump. Idk if it's my size or what that's the issue on that

Hm. I could not get suction or a seal using this method. I have such mixed results with the haakaa...sometimes I get two drops, sometimes an entire ounce, and I never know what I’m doing right or wrong, it just seems totally random.
It is expected to be a little random with how much you get, it depends on your supply and when the baby last ate. Don’t worry about that! For suction, make sure your breast and the haakaa are clean and dry, try squeezing a little harder. Good luck!
I think I'm too small for the haaka??? It does not suction at all, I want to use it to help with expression but it just comes off. But I see others do it and pump it without it unsuctioning?!

If your milk just came in, engorgement is it’s own breast! It’s not all milk there, some swelling and extra fluid as well. Keep it up, you should start seeing it collect more soon!
You should probably see a local lactation consultant. There are MANY reasons for low milk supply and I wouldn’t want to steer you in the wrong direction.
This pump is SUPER painful. I’ve been putting it on the way it’s shown in the video but it pulls so much of my breast inside it’s hurts unbearably. My nipples turn purple. I’ve tried using less suck and it’s still really bad. I guess it’s not for everyone
It’s ok, try again in a few days! Sometimes (especially in the beginning) you can be more sensitive than other times. Take a break and try it again later 💕

It works best if you place it on the side your little one isn’t feeding. Once you have a let down, the milk should start flowing. Since there’s no rhythm like a regular pump, just putting it on with no stimulation may not do anything. Hope that helps!
When I fold down the flange it just pops back up. I have to use both hands, one to hold down the flange and the other to pinch the bottom in order to get enough suction for it to stay on. Am I doing something wrong?
No, sounds about right! If you have a different brand or something it may not stay back, even the haakaa brand for me though doesn’t stay back very long. You’ll get more coordinated the more you use it 👍🏼

Sometimes when I put on my haaka it suctions my areola around my nipple and that really hurts! How do I avoid doing that

Same. It’s leaving my breasts with a bruising type feeling.
Try using a little less suction. And I wouldn’t leave this on for an extended period of time.

I bought hakaa but my milk supply is low that’s why May be my milk flow is not that good even after using it ...can u suggest something ?

Try using a little less suction, you don’t want it to hurt you. If your nipples are cracked or sensitive already, wait until they’re healed a bit.
This pump makes me hurt so much no matter how I put it on and it’s not getting almost any milk out
I didn't leak with my daughter - will this still work for me if I need some milk stored away? Never leaked even in the first 6 weeks!
