I found that if I use my pumping bra with the haakaa it doesn’t fall off. I almost gave up on using it until I figured out I could use it that way. I’ve been building my stash completely with the haakaa lately. So much easier to use and clean than my electric pump.
Using the balloon was absolutely genius, I gave up on using the ladybug when nursing in public and now I know I was definitely doing it wrong all along!!
Hi Allison, thanks for another very helpful review. For some reason, i cant seem to find that video on Instagram that you compared the haakaa to an even more efficient milk catcher. Can you please share the link?
Hi new breast-feeding mom here. With the phalange size being so big could this cause problems with the nipple? Because it causes me a lot of pain when I use this as it’s pulling my areola in as well, it looks puffy forward/swollen in there, and I don’t get anything but a couple of drops that come out with the pump (the second to last one you spoke about)
I thought the haaka was used to catch letdown on the opposite breast your feeding from. Do people wear these during the day when not feeding to catch leaks? If so, how long would you leave it on and how long would the milk be okay sitting out for? These are probably dumb questions but Im expecting my first and trying to understand and learn.
I use mine while working at my desk when I feel engorged or a let down is coming. I have 3 of them. I tend to pop one on each side and occasionally help it along with a little hand expression.
If you mean nipples.. I havnt tried putting other nipples on the haakaa base but I do know the haakaa nipples, the comotomo nipples, and the mason bottle nipples fit on the mason bottle/mason jar. So I can assume they are all interchangeable with the haakaa base as well. But I will say that the haakaa nipple is really soft and breast like in my opinion. I had gotten the 3rd gen haakaa that came with a nipple but didn't bottle feed at that time so never used it.
I dont know what I'm doing wrong. Why cant I get these things to work consistently? Like it can work at one point in the day and I go to use it again and it wont work? I have the regular hakka and the lady bugs. I gave birth 3 and a half weeks ago and I get engorged and need relief....
Try massaging your breasts and applying heat packs before pumping! Usually that helps get things flowing. If that doesn’t help, hand expression can sometimes work better for moms! Good luck :)

Hey, is there a new link? This one isn’t working for me.
Yes!

I’m on my 4th baby, 3rd breast fed and I finally learned how to use the Haakaa!! It’s needed this time🙌🏾👏🏾I almost sold it😮
Do you know if you can use the Comotomo bottles with the Haakaa gen 3? The shape looks very similar
Is it possible if we can get a video on best bottles to use ?

Thank you for this review, I couldn't see on any other ones if the gen 3 haaka bottle part is squeezable or not! Your review was helpful!
Have you tried or seen their petal pump? It looks like it’d be a little less harsh on the breast.
What if I’m not getting anything from the haaka? Is the haaka beneficial if I’m not getting anything out?

Have you try the milkies milk saver? How it compares with the original hakka
Could you use a milk catcher or the first haakaa for collection of colostrum?
Yes, but it’s such small quantity, it will be hard to get out and use. Hand expression works best for early colostrum.

I would only use it occasionally during feedings! No need for more than that :)
I use the Hakka as you describe, the size is not discreet to wear during the day. Milk last up to 4 hrs room temp

How does the ladybug compare to the Elvie Curve?
It doesn’t even compare 🙈 the Elvie curve is fantastic!
Is the Gen 3 Haakaa compatible with Comotomo bottle parts?
Oh hey! Replies on Amazon say YES 🙌 I hope they’re right but I saw 3 people say yes.
What were the ones you were going to talk about on ig? I went there but it says you started over about a year ago bc you were hacked
Check the description. I think I uploaded most of the old account videos here on TH-cam!
What is the product you like more than the ladybug for in the bra milk catching?
Elvie catch :)
Do you know if any other bottles fit onto the Gen. 3? (Maybe something similar to comotomo or Boone nursh??)

@@chinadoll862 thanks for your advice!
The ladybug isn’t a pump so I believe it’s just for catching leakage
Is there a cap for the Elvie curve to be able to cap off if milk catching on the go?
Good question! No there’s not. It’ll need to be put into something for storing. It does pour super easy though!
