In the United States, the trend for the past 20+ years have been cooler summers, and milder winters. The 1930's were the hottest years in our history, the 1800's were some of the coldest. Weather patterns have always changed, and will continue to do so.

People like the 'us and against them' mentality, and if you sell something else as being evil, most people will naturally take the other side, if just to feel good about themselves ostensibly being on the good side against bad. The sad and often ironic thing is, psychological manipulation is quite easy, we live in an age where the woman's 'right to choose' when it comes to murdering an unborn baby, is the noble position to adopt in the minds of the majority of people.

It's a kremlin's narrative "white is not so white and black is not so black, there's an awful lot of grey in between". Just to muddy the waters, distort the thruth, mix up the attribution of blame, blur the lines between an aggressor and his victim. Most people fall for this kgb information-psychological tricks.

I work for TFL and the shifts do not start when we leave home. If we do a dead early shift, we can get a taxi from our nearest station to work, sometimes arriving an hour early. The same thing happens in reverse for a dead late shift. We don't get picked up/dropped off at our homes and frequently have to change taxis.

Public transport is all well and good in the big cities of the UK, and there's no doubt it is very undeveloped especially compared to how our European neighbours do it - but outside of those areas then it's very difficult to see how such a system could ever be setup to be convenient to most of the public.

Interesting format but you can see Graham tries very hard to please Hitchens.
He knows Hitchen's stances on a myriad of issues and just keeps throwing him soft ball after soft ball so that the two of them can ramble together about the evils of modernity.
That's all very fine and dandy but I believe adopting a more adversarial stance, as per English tradition, would be much more interesting.
For instance, it was quite clear Graham and Hitchens were not on the same page when it came to cars. As soon as Graham realised Hitchens was not your average "pro-automobile" right-winger, he quietly retreated and changed his stance to appease Hitchens.
I find this to be sightly disappointing and tedious.
Don't be afraid of disagreeing with each other, gentlemen!

This is the only time Mike does this, cos he knows he brings in views! Many a times he’s sat discussing things with Peter calmly and as if he agrees, only to then have the same subject brought up by a caller and berate them acting like people are stupid and he isnt. I’ve noticed a lot of these right/left wing journalists like to play to crowds for views but behind closed doors hate us. It’s why I stopped watching and only come back now and again to say this 😂

Peter's point about the Ukrainian fetishism made me think of Mikhail Bulgakov's 'White Guard'; and how Bulgakov himself was shunned largely because of his far more nuanced characterisation of both sides of the conflict as complex, multivariate, and sometimes brutal.
Makes me feel like we stare down the same propagandist lens that he did under the Soviets.
