    Your Mustang will be much quicker on the street when you eliminate the stock center bearing and reduce the overall driveshaft weight with this 3.5" diameter Ford Performance One-Piece Aluminum Driveshaft. This direct-replacement driveshaft is built with 1/8" thick 6061 aluminum tubing and incorporates Spicer 1350 solid body universal joints for extreme durability and lightness. muscle.am/2pRqmrE

    Smoother Performance and Faster Acceleration. The Ford Performance One-Piece Aluminum Driveshaft is engineered to be many times better than the OEM driveshaft. The one-piece design means less moving parts. This results in smoother power delivery without the necessary clunks and vibrations. The one-piece design also makes it lighter than the stock unit, which means less rotating mass which equates to improved acceleration. This kit is designed to eliminate the complicated and heavy center bearing to reduce the unsprung weight of your muscle car. This lightweight driveshaft also features a smaller 3.5” diameter design to provide additional clearance on lowered Mustangs. If you are looking to improve the acceleration, performance, braking, and handling of your pony car, start by getting rid of the stock driveshaft.
    Excellent Quality. The Ford Performance One-Piece Aluminum Driveshaft is constructed from premium grade 6061 aluminum tubing. The 1/8” wall thickness of the tubing makes this driveshaft stronger and sturdier without adding too much weight to the assembly. It also features Spicer 1350 solid body universal joints that are meant to endure the rigors of hard acceleration. This kit is a great upgrade for stock or modified Mustangs.
    Direct Bolt-on Installation. The Ford Performance One-Piece Aluminum Driveshaft is applicable to the 2005-2010 Mustang GT or Bullitt equipped with 5-speed manual transmission. This driveshaft is a direct bolt-on upgrade that fits cleanly in the factory location. You can finish the job in approximately 2 hours or less if you have access to a lift and some basic hand tools. Professional installation is highly recommended due to the critical nature of a properly installed driveshaft.

    My new aluminum Drive Shaft gave me an additional 25 HP to the wheels!

    • @rogerdjs
      @rogerdjs ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@djdirtydan3393 That was sarcasm. lol, I did replace the stock with an aluminum Drive shaft but other than reducing the rotating mass and weight I doubt that it added significant HP. It might have added 5hp do to the weight reduction but that's not worth paying hundreds of dollars for a Dyno to prove otherwise.

    Speaking as a Ford Tech of 21+ years, those bolts are a one time use, replace them with new ones. If you ABSOLUTELY need to use the old ones, use orange threadlock.

    question... any specific reason you have 2 different tires on the front of the car?

  • @ryesagainstthemachine2995
    @ryesagainstthemachine2995 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I have all of a sudden started getting steering wheel shape at about 50-55 MPH. I've had the tires checked. I brought the tires in for balancing and was told it was perfect. I have been trying to track it down for a while and coming up short.

      Me too, mine rebuild was paired with a 3:73 rear gear upgrade and Ford Performance LSD. Now 3rd-5th gears at 60 mph I get a real nasty vibration like driving over rumble strips. Any idea how you solved your issue?

      Is the vibration problems with the oem driveshaft or the new 1 piece?

    • @dennislink1300
      @dennislink1300 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@andrewslagle1974yep should have followed up on this months ago. The issue was pinion angle but caused from the rear control arm bushings. The bushings were old and had degraded and that was the +2 degrees that was causing the pinion angle to be incorrect. When it was on the lift it just compounded the issue and no one checked the pinion angle after dropping it back to the ground.

    Confused here. On the site, in a reply to an asked question, this driveshaft will not work with automatic transmissions, it only works with a Billet standard 5 speed tranny. I don't like two-piece driveshafts and I want to single one on my '07 S197 GT V8.

      When they ware the x3 joints get loose and clunk and vibrate ,also that x2 pc shaft (if your drag racing the car) is the weak link .We see the 2pc shaft tore out when you beat on the cars.Hope this helps!
