Income is also supported by where a person work. If you only meet minimum requirement where you work makes a lot of difference. So, if you are a sponsor here in the US find employment at a prominent company apple, amazon, fed ex, google. You could be a cleaner, warehouse worker or professional as long as it is with a growing company that indicates long term stability and job security

Hi, I have petitioned for my mother. My 2019 tax return does not meet the income requirement since I was working part time which attending University. But starting from beginning of 2020 I have started to work full time and can meet the income requirement well above. When I have submitted the affidavit of support I have included all supporting documents (Job description with annual salary mentioned, two recent pay-stubs) which shows that. Although the documents have approved and now we are waiting for interview date. The email I have received says I do not meet the income requirement and the consular will decide on this during interview. And the email also says to submitted joint sponsor form (I do not have any Joint sponsor). I do not know what exactly they are looking for. Does their decision is typically based on the past income not current? What documents should I submit to convince them that my current income meets the requirement? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
@@miguelquintero5875 we turned in all of our documents about a month ago. Our lawyer requested our W2 to confirm the salary for 2020 that seemed to be enough. My salary wasn't enough the years prior. We also submitted 2020 taxes, employer letter stating salary and 6 months of paystubs. So far nothing else has been requested.
Great Video. Just Curious. Due to the pandemic I was furloughed, but I have returned to work since part time. Most of my 2020 income was unemployment benefits. That unemployment income would not be considered as viable income to sponsor a fiancé correct? I have told my partner that a sponsorship at this time would not be possible due to my 2020 and possibly 2021 income be partially unemployment based.
