Can’t wait to see this all fixed up. I crashed my plane last night and went into the planes wear tear debug, so many possibilities for 3rd party devs now. It’s so modeled now.

Honestly I don't recall very much coverage of the fact that assets and location data was streamed in off the cloud. If I had known that I wouldn't have tempered my expectations. I never heard a word about that honestly

After a frustrating day yesterday as many other players I managed to get it up and running today. It looks really nice and I started the career mode just for the fun of it. The controls were a bit strange to configure because the axes don't show in the menu but they work in the game.
I have played twice today, and I left after about 30 minutes. I am fearful for my CPU; the game is heating it more than Cinebench/Blender which is crazy. I'll wait for a patch and not risk tuning my CPU in to lava. As a side note the GPU side of things are running fine. Maybe my 5800X is not going to cut it which makes no sense but who knows. Also, 1Gbit fibre connection sometimes says, "low bandwidth", which is going to be great fun 🤔
I don’t think you should criticise people for giving it a terrible review - I fully agree with it. It might stop devs releasing games that aren’t finished/haven’t got the servers ready to deal with it. I dint think it’s childish - if I’d shelled out £200 and then couldn’t play the game, I’d be pretty unhappy too.

Hey, nice work.. Frustrating... @02:57, to the right of centre is a tree much larger than the office block next to it. Are office blocks that small really??
My internet can't supply the bandwidth needed so I will load Xplane12 and give Asobo and Microsoft the necessary time they need to set this huge undertaking right. I have not had a flight sim since MSFSX so I am not in a PANIC about it.
I've been able to actually fly two times in over 24h... Didn't have the queue issue but after choosing an airport and plane, it just doesn't load... I'd rather have a 1TB base game on my harddrive with additional scenery loading in from the cloud, but this, as for now, just doesn't work...
I could just imagine the demand on the servers... maybe they should have brought in more for the first week even knowing that by next week most complainers will be gone
This is the problem with Microsoft flight simulator 2024, cloud gaming servers aren’t the best solution under heavy loud. In general cloud gaming servers aren’t efficient under heavy load. Why fully process games using cloud gaming servers instead of client processing some parts similar to what Microsoft flight simulator 2020 did?
This just seems more and more common with new games nowadays. And its going to get way worse if games start switching to cloud based. Just seems like these companies are more interested in getting the money out of you quickly to satisfy the shareholders. This is why i never pre order or buy on release day
Id prefer a 200gb game that actually works. Than a 10gb streaming mess. Tried it today. Its horrible so far. Wait for an update and a surver upgrade hopefully wont take to long
After a total cluster f!!k on my PC, its actually running great on my Xbox Series X.. Just a shame as I miss my controllers and Tobii eye tracker. Looks great though and running smooth as butter. Looks fantastic on Xbox actually. Who'd have thunk it ?
i managed to start it when it got out but it seems that i cant fly , when i go to any mode and try to set a departure or do any thing it just puts me in loading loop above the airport
Yeah I'm probably going to wait a year or so before picking this up. I think they massively rushed the release of this game and it needs some major work before playing. I'm sure it's still fun but I'd rather have an "omg this is incredible" reaction rather than a "this is cool" reaction.
I think the review bombing is more than justified, people have paid good money for this game, booked time off and now, nearly 2 days after release are still yet to even get on the game. Too many game developers/ publishers are releasing unfinished/ not ready games. If the games arent ready push it back a week or two. Just the usual cash grab, fix later model that most companies are using. I have nearly 3 hours logged in this "game" and havent managed to reach character creator. Ill be sending them an invoice for the electric/ internet used on this loading simulator 🤡
My flights load anywhere from 15-25 minutes after picking the flight plan, meaning that I have to wait half an hour to even be in a plane after starting my pc. The game has also crashed a few times on me already and as I fly gliders, the winch launch and a few controls are very buggy. Overall, including yesterdays download server issues, I have tried to get anything running for 10 hours and did not even have a single regular flight (doing some other stuff while waiting for the loading screens, I'm not insane). I would much rather download like 400gb of map data to fly without this cloud bs than having this... It is definitely my last "cloud game", my internet and pc are plenty fast so these loading times are absurd, at least the ingame performance is good for the graphics. The cloud graphics also means that I have nothing from the game as soon as microsoft decides to shut the game servers down.

For me my Xbox controller dosent work properly I use the pc game pass version and both of my controllers sticks controll the camera instead of one controlling the camera and one doing the ailerons I hope msfs devs get this fixed luckily I have a yoke😅😅
I had high hopes for this since every other game out for Xbox in my opinion straight blows. I also hoped graphically this would have been a drastic improvement over 2020 and it’s not. I’m glad others took the plunge so that i could see it was mistake. I now hate this franchise again and will probably just go back to DCS. Gaming these past few years has been a major letdown.
People are far too forgiving on this nonsense, some even make excuses for it. Microsoft is a mega corporation with almost unlimited resources, they have massive data centres with almost unlimited capacity. They knew the interest from how many presales they made, they were just too cheap to allocate enough resources for the likely demand. Microsoft controlled the preload and didn't allow people to preload the sim to alleviate potential issues. They controlled the release data for the sim which has many bugs and missing features. People excusing this ridiculous state of affairs is exactly why the gaming industry now releases half baked products. But even on the videos I have seen with it working the visuals and scenery are worse than 2020 in some cases and it is riddled with bugs. Maybe in a year or two it will be worthwhile to "upgrade" from 2020 but currently I am very glad I didn't buy into the hype.
MS and Asobo could have planned a better start (with additional servers or wathever) but all this s**tstorm of review bombing and complaining about problems is just ridiculous. "Lol their algorythm thinks that this cliff is made of buildings"... and? Have you ever programmed something? Do you even realize how hard it is to program something that correctly predicts the landscape? We don't have such things in real life and you expect them from a game? Everybody knew it would have been a rough start for the hype and thousands of flight sim lovers: why not having patience instead of acting like Karens for once?
Honestly game is no Different from 2020... apart from walking around an aircraft and the ability to take a picture of a hippo taking a poop on the African plains there is no difference. Even the huge hype of visuals is not that massive of a change. Not buying this until the iron it out at least.
So, to you, complaining after paying for a game that is a mess, but most importantly, wasting your time, is not enough justification to give a bad review? Not the adult thing to do? What? LOL
Yeah man... this is OBVIOUSLY not what the devs intended to happen, this shit is complicated, sometimes shit breaks, they're trying to fix it... so NO, I don't think throwing a PUBLIC TANTRUM immediately, is very "adult".

Did I just see a big tree in the city?
What, you never heard of the Tokyo Skytree? 😏
Where is this location 0:54
around the Blue Mountains (a little West of Sydney Australia)
monopolysoft cant even get a game launch right
For me my Xbox controller dosent work properly I use the pc game pass version and both of my controllers sticks controll the camera instead of one controlling the camera and one doing the ailerons I hope msfs devs get this fixed luckily I have a yoke😅😅
My game doesnt let me press the aknowlege thing on my controller does someone knows how to fix it?
This game launched 6 months too early. Like every other "AAA" game these days.
But Blunty, I want to play the game, please fix!
How embarrassing on their behalf wow.
A MESS! I'll wait next month or 2.🤡🤬
7:26 it’s stable for me.
Honestly game is no Different from 2020... apart from walking around an aircraft and the ability to take a picture of a hippo taking a poop on the African plains there is no difference. Even the huge hype of visuals is not that massive of a change.
Not buying this until the iron it out at least.
This needs to be renamed to early access and shood of been releaced in 2025
Uninstalled didn’t even get to play it.., done with it.
I’m soooooooonglad I didn’t pay for this
Got to character creator...crashed...christ...what a let down
And you're surprised? lol
doesnt work at all for me :D
Still 97%.
A total fail
Beta testing?
So, to you, complaining after paying for a game that is a mess, but most importantly, wasting your time, is not enough justification to give a bad review? Not the adult thing to do? What? LOL
Yeah man... this is OBVIOUSLY not what the devs intended to happen, this shit is complicated, sometimes shit breaks, they're trying to fix it... so NO, I don't think throwing a PUBLIC TANTRUM immediately, is very "adult".
