Yeah I like how they did that as well, I'm not big on them but for people that are I'm glad they can start early. I will be doing them once I have all of my other ratings.
I just discovered ur channel this morning im from maine. love the setup and game u got going on cant wait hope see more episodes deping on ur streaming veiws adn likes. i noticed keep elvators down during landing helps see it on lot bigger aircraft
Just a little tip from watching your landing the 4 lights on the side of the runway are called papi lights and you want 2 red and 2 white that means you on a correct 3degree glide slope, a saying red your dead white your high.
Thank you for the tip! I do know about papi lights but I often mix up what means what so that will help me remember and I will definitely try to use them more.
@@lukasplskoMaybe they are called different things in different places? I have heard of papi lights but not the term you used. Or maybe you're talking about something else?
@@canadiansimgamer There are different types of visual approach lights. PAPIs, VASIS, T-VASIS etc. At 49:03 you see a pair of lights with another set of two lights above it. That is the VASIS system. PAPI lights are 4 lights next to each other. The principle is the same, however indications vary.
The closest to my home field, is a grass strip and unfortunately, the grass strip is about 15m off actual, so I'm in the dirt but I'm making it work, just finished my commercial
How is your cabin free look working? When I look around it auto centers constantly. When I’m in exterior view it works perfect using the same top hat. This is killing me trying to get the cockpit freelook to not auto center
There is usually two different "looking around" keybinds in flight sim. Quick look, which will look all the way to one side when held down, and center when released which it sounds like you're pressing. There is also just regular camera movement which is a different key bind which lets you smoothly look around without automatically centering. On a computer, it's simply hold right click. I know joysticks can do it as well as the 2 joysticks on my yoke let me do both methods I mentioned. I would check your camera keybinds and look for that other option!
@@canadiansimgamer it’s not set to quick view. I’m at work right now but I used the same binding as the external and it works perfect just my cockpit view when I look around (not snap/quick look) it goes back to center. Can you check which exact setting you’re using for your cockpit view so I can match it.
Does anyone know what to press on the Xbox to start the engines? It was control E for this video, but my grandpa had problems trying to start the plane with the Xbox.
It was incredible joining you as you played the brand new Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Career Mode. The way you learned how to become a pilot, earn money, purchase aircraft, and complete missions was so cool. And the fact that it all starts now is awesome! Have a good flight!
Yeah..I definitely thought it would be harder, both in testing and in hours. The training that is optional before the exam is enough I think, if they tested you on the whole thing which is definitely what I thought would happen. It's the same for all of the ratings. They will give you training for "x" "y" and "z "which is extensive enough for a sim, and then only test you on "x" which is odd and kind of too easy.
I definitely thought that at first, but not anymore, there a good few visual changes. That being said, if you're not interested in career mode, it might be best to stick to 2020 until the new one goes on sale 👍
@@canadiansimgamer Yeah sadly I had to refund it. I am interested in career mode but given how unstable the sim is generally I don't want to risk losing my progress in some update in 2 months - I remember often happened to people's logbooks in 2020. I think I'm happier to watch others play for now, so thank you for your uploads!
I appreciate that you have the chance to move to rotorcrafts very soon just after the basics

I think it is RB + D-PAD Left/Right
@ Thanks man I appreciate it.
What yoke do you have
Thrustmaster Boeing Edition 👍 Thanks for watching
I getting that one for chrismas from santa
What yoke do you use?
I use the Thrustmaster Boeing Edition Yoke as well the throttle that comes with it!
@@canadiansimgamer Did that require advanced settings or something?
@@RobinGuitarros Not really, when first plugged in it has a default keybind preset that works well, I have adjusted mine but it is not required.

That's really unfortunate to hear, however with this comment being 12 hours old, I hope your problem is solved now. It seems to open well today

So to get a PPL you only have to fly a pattern. Seems a bit unrealistic and way too easy. I prefer FS Academy above this gamey career mode.

Looks too much like just 2020 with 3D trees. Orbx Global Trees HD looks better anyway.
