Hello, I am one of the technical pilots on the team who tested the aircraft complementing our pilots who were on the development team. I am a training captain for a Middle Eastern Carrier with over 15 years+ with the airline. I'm glad you had a good first flight! This has been the culmination of many years of work for the team, and we are all happy that it shows. We have reviewed the video and logged issues internally. I think worth posting here is the F needed for the FLEX temp. This is actually only if the aircraft is fitted with DERATED takeoff, we don't have this. So as per the FCOM a leading F or D is no longer needed. Look forward to seeing you fly the A330 again.
hi it always interests me when a product is released and literally on the first flight a real a330 pilot points out that the rudder and aircraft general responsiveness is not realistic, as in far too responsive despite the fact that there were real world a330 pilots on the tech team? how can these so easily spotted factors have not already been picked up by the real pilots on the tech team? seen it so many times before with various developers,
@@justsayin644 Are you delusional by some chance? Emmanuel compliments the flight model multiple times, stating its right. Not sure what you're expecting, some real world study level simulation for a default plane? It's insane for what it is, but you wanna complain about a minor peripheral issue. You seem to take one pilot's word over a whole team.
@@justsayin644 Yeah just ignore all the good comments about this default plane and focus on one comment which could likely be peripheral issue. It's fine for others with no twitching.
I find a lot of flight simmers are starting to expand onto other aircraft unfortunately. Another Airbus guy is flying a lot on Boeing in his streams. We just want to see the streamers fly the plane they fly in the real world. I saw a 737 streamer the other day trying to fly an A320, very badly!
The community learns a ton from this content creator, even in the current adversities of this sim's launch.. He ain't bitching like some i've watched but he gives an optimistic feeling that things will get better with it as it ages.
While Microsoft deserve criticism for the launch, it's like everyone forgot the disaster that was the launch of 2020. I was expecting things to go FUBAR and haven't even launched the game yet. I think I'll wait a week or so. I'd rather just watch channels like this to get my fix of aviation until it all smoothens out :)

People arent gonna care, and we cannot tell them its because we were being cheap. Jackson, Im done talking to you about it" A330 pilot doesnt complain! he is superior! Microsoft reached market cap of $3.089 Trillion USD. So we will complain. We wont complain if indie developers mess up and are being honest about everything.
Don't take the complaining and moaning seriously. It's not unjustified, but having day-one issues is anything but surprising. On the other hand, not having such issues would have blown my socks off. In two or three weeks we'll have a better idea of what the real issues are. None of the things being complained about now are. At least to me this A330 looked great.
As for twitchy rudder during takeoff - setting a small deadzone and slightly reducing sensitivity in control settings helped me a lot with that. It seems that a physical joystick is never in a perfect neutral position, so with a zero deadzone the sim is always applying it, you try to counteract it and it goes wild.
Glad to see you are having success with the new simulator and it is also great to see how at home you are in the inibuilds A330 - what a great aircraft that only needs minimal adjustments to make it even better.
@A330 Driver the F used for the flex temperature is only used if the aircraft does derate T.O which isn’t supported. So there is no f (according to inibuilds)
New to your channel been here for a few months, youre the most nonbias flight sim youtuber with the best tutorial vid and product reviews really appreciate everything you do much love from Australia 🇦🇺
Just did my first successful flight after several failures. KDCA to KJFK A320neo v2 inibuilds. The visuals are amazing!!! I've been on that flight many times and it looked just like I was in the plane. The biggest time consumer has been setting up the flight controls. I wish I could import my MSFS2020 setup. I still haven't been able to get my flaps lever to work on the Velocityone. I'm on a pc.
I think the streaming of scenery isn't quite up to scratch, it still isn't sharp enough, compared to 2020. Hopefully these issues will be ironed out. With the ability to download aircraft to the hard drive, being key. This will help with streaming, in my view.
It may of course be a misconception because we were so used to addon sceneries in 2020 and now only have those Asobo handcrafted airports. Let's see where things will go.
Check if you have dynamic LOD (or auto fps or whatever it is called, I don’t remember exactly) enabled, if so, try turning it off. I was disappointed by the visuals of the sim at first - it looked awful compared to the 2020, but then I found that setting, disabled it, set the terrain LOD manually to 200 or something, volumetric clouds to ultra and omg, that is completely different sim now and it does look great 😍
Super video!! I've been expecting to see your reaction on this amazing aircraft, as it is the aircraft you fly irl. Can you make a tutorial series for the brand new a321 in the msfs2024?
Thank you so much for sharing your passion and knowledge on the A330. It’s your work office after all! I hope as the new sim evolves so too will the A330 details or perhaps a high quality payware will be emerge eventually?
23:00 exactly the same. I saw it on a picture and was really wondering what's that plane is called, which got me into aviation. I can say A330 is a big milestone for my aviation experience. And it looks beautiful indeed.
This might be the best advert for MSFS2024 since the trailer. This is the first time I've seen anyone do a successful flight, with no major issues, in a reasonably realistic plane. I'm quite impressed with the iniBuilds A330. TBH, what they have delivered is pretty much exactly what I expected from them, and it looks like the A320/A321LR, Beluga and A400M will be similarly good. I'm really looking forward to their A350 now!
Interesting observation regarding the performance of the MS vs Steam version of the sim. I haven't made the jump to MSFS 2024 yet (waiting for the dust to settle), but this is certainly something to consider going forward. I have the Steam version of MSFS 2020 and the path of least resistance was to go with the Steam version of 2024. We will see. Thanks as always for your excellent videos.
I am so happy for you, finally you got to review and fly a decent A330 in MSFS! I am more happy for you than glad I can take a spin on it as well 😅 I have concern - do you think inibuilds would make those updates that you proposed? Are default aircraft going to be updated except on AAUs? In MSFS you had to wait like a year for some issues to be taken care of for defaults, while the paid aircraft are being updated much more frequently. What do you think?
33:05 no need for a video look on flightradar24 on take offs from LLBG runway 26, taking off 600-700 meters from the start of the runway from W1/W2 instead of E (which is full length intersection)
Very nice! As a boeing guy i'm waiting for the npa approach tutorials, explaining what guidance mode to use in what situation. I'm little lost there with Airbus.

Good morning! May I ask what version of 24 you are using? In addition, thank you for your outstanding, objectivity with this simulator. Your “lessons” are amazing!
Is the A330 designed specifically for 2024 or is it "ported" over. Perhaps there was no A330 built-in in 2020. If this is not a "port" , can you tell me if. Has Fly-By-Wire re-written their previous Management interface for 2024? The one that had the Salty 747 and the A320 ?
Hate to see that the ILS / PAPI's are still off. And this, after all the fungus about how they've rewritten everything from scratch.. yeah, hard to believe.
I don't believe they have re-written EVERYthing from scratch (nor have I ever heard them promise that). It seems that they are re-writing old code from scratch piece by piece, which is quite sensible if you think about it. Going clean sheet would be a massive task, and probably result in even MORE bugs.
Still too much Floating ? From video i've watched, it seems that you need more pitch up during flare to make a smooth landing with pitch going above7/8°. As you're TR on the 330, what's your thoughts ?
I did two flights with it now (on my gaming laptop with only a TM Airbus stick next to me), give me some time to gain some experience with it. I'm sure you'll find a dedicated video on the topic eventually :)
What constant do you use for the mental math descend calculation when cross checking the jojo? Do you still use the 3 or a shallower descend is planned? Or VNAV is just better in the 330 compared to her smaller siblings?

Is the A330 designed specifically for 2024 or is it "ported" over. Perhaps there was no A330 built-in in 2020. If this is not a "port" , can you tell me if. Has Fly-By-Wire re-written their previous Management interface for 2024? The one that had the Salty 747 and the A320 ?
Didn’t know Taylor Swift became a first officer pilot in msfs2024
Is EDDF-KTPA flown with an A330-200 or -300? If you can, can you recreate that real world route?
Hi, I think they use both types on that route. I'd always recommend to check flightradar24 for what has actually been used on a route.
No liveries. How does that “look so so good” emi?
Hate to see that the ILS / PAPI's are still off. And this, after all the fungus about how they've rewritten everything from scratch.. yeah, hard to believe.
I don't believe they have re-written EVERYthing from scratch (nor have I ever heard them promise that). It seems that they are re-writing old code from scratch piece by piece, which is quite sensible if you think about it. Going clean sheet would be a massive task, and probably result in even MORE bugs.
@mdhazeldine You are of course entitled to your own thoughts and opinions, sir!
It might be a bug, but to be fair, they often don’t match up in the real world either.
