Unfortunately I don’t know who the creator was, but I recently saw a Tiktok that addressed situations similar to this. The girl in the video said that her dad had given her advice when it comes to creepy, sexist or gross “Jokes” that many men make. He said to never laugh at the joke because they will take that nervous laughter as approval for their harassment. Instead ask about the meaning of the “Joke” or comment and act naive and keep pushing for what they mean by it: Notice how they’re no longer laughing when they have to explain their sexual harassment? This also works for “Friends/family” that make rude or offensive comments but then stumble when trying to explain why you should be laughing.
-Power to everyone out there who have struggled or are struggling with people who are unaware of how much you truly are worth. And this isn’t just women either, men, children, LGBTQIA+, minorities,etc. Deserve to be respected and not have to pretend that what people say to you is ok.💖

I remember once i was saying goodbye to my friend from Japan (i live in London) and it was very emotional cause she was going back and we were obviously not gonna see each other for a very very long time, and you could tell we were having a moment and this random effing guy came to us and started trying to chat us up. I literally had to explain to him the whole situation (which he didnt deserve to know, not his business to know, he should have gone away after telling him to the first time) hoping that would be enough for him to leave us alone and he still didnt. I have this clear cursed memory of waving at my friend both tearing up and the guy next to me smiling still asking for our numbers. I was SO livid. I cant even begin to imagine how disrespected that poor woman in the video must have felt.

I’m honestly so disappointed in younger me, I used to watch this guy all the time, and I even thought it was funny/cool. Luckily I eventually grew out of it and realized how shitty it all was, but a lot of children don’t, which is why it’s so dangerous to have content like this on the internet, plus it’s literally so disgusting and dehumanizing.
