Thank you. Crossway (and CDB) didn't have a preview for it. My old verse-by-verse bible binding broke on me. I had it recovered and started shopping for my next Bible. The reason I like verse-by-verse is that there is a lot of room for little notes in the space after a verse ends 'early' on a line. I bought a bible off of CBD and put it on the shelve (for 2 years!). My existing Bible hadn't had problems, so I just kept using it. Well, I just pulled my new Bible off the shelf and 1) it has smaller pages, 2) a smaller font (I'm 62), 3) smaller margin. I'm not a happy camper. But then I pulled up my old receipt and see that I only paid $30 for it :-) in leather. So I'll use both!
I recently got a Quentel for Christmas and have found “The One” but I just couldn’t bring myself to write in it. I found this edition because my eyes are getting worse and in wanted a place to write some small notes and underline. I am impressed with the features and I agree the paper is very good considering the cost.
Somehow I wish we could have our cake and eat it too--- have nice wide margins on both sides , as well as large print with references and high quality paper. Thanks for taking the time to post this, it makes the choice easier!
@@BibleBuyingGuide Randy how is the the paper in the personal size large print compared to this one?? Also how do the verse numbers compare between the two??
@@sylviafriessen9124 the paper in the personal size large print is a lot thinner and has a lot more show-through. The verse numbers are smaller and don't stand out as much.
Nice Bible. Crossway did a good job with this large print wide margin. Nice 11 point dark font. I agree, this Bible probably would be best as a rreaders Bibl;e. Thanks for sharing this review with us.

Thanks for doing this work of reviewing Bibles. With most Christian bookstores closed it’s hard to get a feel for new Bibles.
They are nice Bibles. I thought the same thing, great for reading and jotting down a few things here and there.

Thanks! I'd love to have that one myself.

How many pages of cardstock are in the back?

I saw some Amazon reviews of this Bible. It seems that it has some printing issues, particularly in the Gospel of Luke? How's it in your Bible?
None that I've found, but mine's an older edition. They could use a different printer or paper now.
@@BibleBuyingGuide I see. Thank you. Having been thinking of buying this Bible for my personal study.
@seraphmcgregor927 Just bought one off Christian Bookstore, no printing issues. Very little bleed through, nice paper like in this review.
Did he say it was line-matched?
Hi Tami. It is line-matched. I'm not sure if I mentioned it. Thanks for checking.
What is the thickness of the Bible? Thanks.
He measured it at 1-1/2 thick
Only thing is that gold will rub off in about a month
