    This is the same Bible Truth for Life has for $35 right now. I just ordered one, but may order another.

    I've tried out a number of premium Bibles including Schuyler, Allan, Zondervan, and I just keep coming back to this Bible. It's as close to perfect as you can get IMO:
    - portable, and can easily be held in one hand (this is key for longer reading)
    - large text
    - references are there, but out of the way so that you aren't distracted while reading (I am incredibly distracted by center column references even though I like the look)
    - it's not so fancy that you'd be afraid to take it to church

      Yeah. Premiums can be nice. But I agree. You gotta find the one that suits you.

    I am not in need of a Bible right now, but I still like watching these types of videos. Before I got my gigantic ESV Large Print Study (which I love) I really wanted a thinline. This would've been perfect if it had the short introduction to each book. Just a personal preference. I'm glad to see a larger print. I had a thinline at one time that I had to end donating because the print was too small. Sometimes with the printing the lines are too close together, as you had mentioned. Thanks for the review. Now that Christian bookstores are harder to find, it really does help people who are looking to buy a Bible.

      What binding did you choose for your large print ESV Study Bible? I can choose between hard cover, leather and fake leather??? Thanks I’m advance.

    I have this Bible in genuine leather that I got from Crossway. I originally bought the Trutone bit it had a defect and I contacted Crossway and they sent the genuine leather edition. It is such a nice Bible and the genuine leather is really nice. It's not top grain, but still it's really nice. As you said the words are a bit crammed closed together and the ribbons as it is on ALL Crossway Bibles are the best. I watched a couple videos on how to change the ribbons and I changed them with some ribbons I bought from Amazon as the ship to Jamaica. Lovely Bible. It is my hope to own a premium Bible some day and I really love the ESV Preaching Bible paragraph edition.

    Great video! How thick is the Bible? Im guessing 1 1/2. Does it read easier or more comforithan the ESV Large Print Personal Size? Thank you so much.

      It’s really just over an inch. Really pretty good size Bible. And easy to read, considering it’s a thin line.

    If you could only own one for personal reading and study, would you prefer this ESV thinline large print or the NKJV classic vbv? I'm trying to pick a good versatile bible as I can only afford to buy 1 at the moment. What would you recommend? 🙏

    • @ClaimingChristianity
      @ClaimingChristianity  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh man. That’s a hard one. I’m gonna say NJKV VBV cause I really like VBV and I teach and my church uses the NKJV.
      But that’s hard. I love my classic VBV NKJV. It’s a great Bible. Bigger the the ESV but it’s nice

    I think that the ESV Diadem it’s much better than this one but even this Esv thinline is beautiful . I have the brown calf leather and the paper is very pleasant to the eyes when read the scriptures. It’s more like egg colour/ smooth yellow-ish . Beautiful review and blessings ❤❤❤

    Why do we want it to be floppier?

    • @ClaimingChristianity
      @ClaimingChristianity  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question. Not everybody does. It just make the “lay flat” better usually and the Bible a little easier to physically manipulate. IMO. I like a good floppy Bible…but there definitely can be “too floppy” lol.

    • @Yesica1993
      @Yesica1993 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ClaimingChristianity I've seen people fold the floppy ones backward like a magazine. I get it from the practical stance. It's easier to hold one-handed, especially if you're a preacher. But I can't take seeing it!

      @@ClaimingChristianity I suppose i was asking because if you are bringing a Bible to Church and you sit it in your lap and either take notes in the Bible or take notes on paper that rests on top of the Bible, then having a hard cover forces the pages to be level and easier to write on. I suppose then if one's cover selection could best be determined by what one wants the Bible to be resting upon while one is using it?

    • @ClaimingChristianity
      @ClaimingChristianity  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah…really it’s a pretty individual preference. I know lots of folks who love hardbacks for just the reasons you mentioned. They also tend to “lay flat” more out of the box then some of their imitation leather counterparts. So like you said…it kinda depends on what your doing with it really.
