I put a beeswax leather sealer on the spine hubs.. reapply as needed.. I've also used a synthetic leather sealer on some in areas that will wear.. I have the ESV Crossway WM Trutone. It's holding up well at the 2 yr mark. It has thicker paper than the edition you have and the text block is only 1 3/8" thick. If the cover gets too worn, I'll rebind it myself. Crossway will be coming out with some Horoween leather editions. Maybe for the wide margin? I rebound my LP Compact with Horoween leather. Nice tough stuff.
i noticed on facebook that matt is again using his eagle cwm, at least in the pictures...a lot of people have asked him why he switched back. does anyone know?
Hey Matthew, I’m so intrigued by Bible note taking. Would you be opposed to sending me one of your Bibles that you have a lot of notes in that you wouldn’t mind giving up? That would be awesome!
The paper is loud😂. I do have to smile a bit on that comment. I will be reviewing your Bible videos as I am wishing to upgrade to a better Bible. Thank you for your thorough information as well as your preaching.
Thinking back on your Cambridge WM crash test review, it held up better overall than this Crossway WM, especially within the first couple of years. Would you agree?
I think back then he was using the cwm and Pitt minion for different things. So the use was split. With the heirloom he’s only using it so it’s wearing more.
Hey man awesome video but just wanted to let you know Schuyler does have it right the inner margin in my NASB wide margin is the same is the outer margin I thought it was the case but i just measured it to make sure. It may be a little less in the middle of the book but in Titus there is not more than a 1/16 of an inch difference
I have almost given up on the search for the perfect WM Bible 😒 I want a NKJV single column VBV with wide outer margins, similar to the Zondervan NASB single column WM.
This is a review that people need to watch before they buy a premium bible. Because that is what we are paying for, so that you can use it for the rest of your life.
I would love a comparison of the Crossway kids bibles options. It would be great to hear your thoughts on what we should be looking for in a kids bible and when we should give the first full bible to a young child (learning to read).
Matt have you checked out the two column esv reference verse by verse. I swear its the wide margin just verified but I think topgrain is as good as it gets.
I know! It is OOP, but perhaps will come back one day. I suggest getting a regular TruTone cover and then maybe get it rebound?

Great test! I like the way you use your Bible. I h ave a question. I would like to add papers like you did. Can you tell me what kind of paper is it and how did you add it?
Is the paper in the heirloom different from other editions of the Bible? I have the genuine leather edition and as much as I can tell from the look and sound it seems to me that the paper in mine might be a bit thicker, or at least different in some way.
I have one of these bibles as well and was considering using it as my preaching bible. How long do you think, at your current rate, will you be able to keep using the Bible before it is filled with notes and has no more room? I'm assuming as with the Cambridge, once it is filled you'll move onto another Bible
The inner margins might not be proper for you Cambridge NASB, ESV, and NKJV, but the Cambrdige WM Concord KJV has a proper inner margin. I absolutely love my Concord KJV Eagle!
I have a wide margin and I'm looking forward to filling all the margins, with thoughts guided by the spirit. I do maintain a spiral journal where I log major notes. But wide margin Bibles are something else.
Modern versions make Jesus a sinner, by leaving out anger ...WITHOUT A CAUSE. Later in the scripture s Jesus looks round at the pharisees in anger , but it is RIGHTEOUS anger.
I love these bible reviews and crash test videos. Thank you for posting them and for being so very thorough!!!
Super glad these are back! Already looking forward to next years!
Good timing. I just received my Crossway Heirloom Single Column BIble today. I actually used your videos to help decide which Bible I wanted to get.
Thanks Matt, love the "war" use stories. Excellent content that publisher's need to know!
Are you gonna do another crash test for 2023 brother?
Where can I get a copy of the OT and NT study bible guide.Thank you!
I’m getting back to God and I’m enjoying your vids lately helping me out
Great test. You do very good videos my friend. Grace and Peace

I’ve been searching for this Bible for weeks since watching this and it is absolutely nowhere to be found! Sooooo sad

Is this printing a “red letter”? If so, does it interfere with your highlighting/ note taking?
Thanks for this! I am trying to find the best WM Bible. Also, grew up in Grove City. Miss that area!
Just know that these are out of print and very hard to find in new condition.
Howz about a linky doo to that writing paper? :)
Also interested to know this!
Looks really nice . I would love one of those but the price? Thank you for this review. I enjoy your channel very much.
I assume they would be minor, BUT have you ran into any issues with using an ESV with the 2011 text?

Yes…the genuine leather and TruTone versions have a thicker (and in my opinion better) paper.

Five years and then it would be done.
The inner margins might not be proper for you Cambridge NASB, ESV, and NKJV, but the Cambrdige WM Concord KJV has a proper inner margin. I absolutely love my Concord KJV Eagle!
esv..really
Your recommendation ?
Such an awesome BIBLE, sadly not in KJV 😐
Please, don't write on your Bibles. Take a spiral pad and do your notes there. March 5, 2023.
Why do you think they make wide margin Bibles? Please leave your comments and opinions in your spiral notebook. 11-25-2023 😂
