Good review with some solid points. Crossway has done a wonderful job with this Bible. The inner margin is useable, especially with the ability to lay flat. The thicker paper helps with ghosting and bleed through. I've heard in other reviews that the goatskin version has thinner paper, but I can't be certain. Like you stressed the true tone edition is really designed as a work Bible and is intended to be written in. Once you work stuff out in it you can always rewrite the finished notes in a premium Bible that is intended to be handed down.
That’s a beautiful wide margin. I could not order one from Crossway because logistically it goes way beyond our budget (being here in the Philippines. I have one hardback of the ESV wide margin as a review copy from Cambridge which I got more than a year ago. Not sure how it would feel and differ.

Thanks man. I’m glad you enjoy yours!
Same, I'm here in India having the same problem as yours.
Trutone looks beautiful in the beginning but gradually it begins to wear out and the Bible becomes ugly.
I hear you, I haven’t spent an extensive ammount of time with a trutone Bible.
