  • How To Adapt To The New Rules Of Life: Living By Design, Part 4 - ‘Phil In The Blanks’ Podcast
If you’ve been doing everything “by the book” and your life still isn’t where you want it to be, you need to tune in to this week’s Phil in the Blanks podcast. Dr. Phil teaches you how the world really works -- not how you wish it worked, not how it should work -- but how it really works. Become empowered to be a leader of your life and protect yourself and those you love.
“Life is a game, and you will either be a player or be the one played,” explains Dr. Phil. “Yesterday’s rules and expectations about relationships, emotions, and interacting just simply don’t apply anymore, not like they used to … and those who figure that out and adapt to the current world will have an incredible edge.”

Oh my you make so much sense about this world. I was like you and was taught if you are honest and fair you will succeed and the world is good. . But when I went to university I was baffled at how mean people were.

A couple of years ago, I posted a comment under a prepper video. For those who don’t know what a prepper is, it’s someone who, for the most part, stashes food and supplies and garners knowledge as to how to protect themselves, from various, possible or likely, societal devastation, so they can survive.
Preppers are quite familiar with the term “marauder”. But, for the most part, they think of a marauder as someone who bursts through the door, guns blazing, to eat or take all their preps and to eat them also. Blatant surface stuff.
But, what they didn’t understand is what I called the “soft marauder”. Soft marauders are those everyday looking folks. It’s anything from your neighbor who wedges their foot in the door with a smile to Uncle Bob who needs to stay with you for a little while, until he gets on his feet, only it’s been years, if not decades and you’re still working to feed him, while he hopes to age out of you feeling no guilt about giving him the boot to a covertly jealous boss, who wants YOU to think they’re your BFF, but probably shows a bit of schadenfreude, whenever you have a setback in life. Perhaps, they’ll even slip the rug (gently lay you off) to assist your trip to Hell. My comment scared the bejeebers out of some of them.
And I’ve mentioned my neighbor, in most of my comments. A woman in her mid-sixties, just a few years older than myself who, with the evidence she’s provided me, was trying to scam me into becoming her free caregiver, when she wasn’t ill to my knowledge because, instead of preparing for her possibly inherited illness and continuing to work, she decided to watch TV and eat all day and that o would be her free long term care. This narcissist was even waving to people she didn’t know, when we sat outside and chatted and I could only guess that she was trying to show the neighborhood that we were a pair. Her biggest problem was me picking up a lot, even while smiling and telling her no (having strong boundaries).
But you have to understand that the reality is that a good portion of people, if not most, have nefarious intentions towards you. Some of the worst are the ones who want you to think you did it to yourself, absolving them of any responsibility to be decent, well-intended human beings. Even a friend of mine, who recently told me that I don’t do anything for my neighbor (who is, indeed, now ill), I know she doesn’t understand that, essentially, what she’s asking is for me to crack the door open, to a marauding scam artist, who obviously thinks she should entitle herself to my life.
So, you’d better take a good look and get rid of those Pollyanna, lollipop notions of all people being well meaning God’s children, who were basically born good. Because the only way you’re going to survive is by sheer luck, rather than your whits. And I know this as someone who’s mother tried to destroy her.

Dr. Phil, first of all thank you for your work and caring. Regarding content, what about AUTISM the ratio of which is now one in 34 and still escalating according to the CDC. The individuals who are low on the spectrum and are gifted are now adults who are ln the professional arena are still having difficulty socially. The others have no help to reach their potential in order to reach their potential in order to contribute to and participate in society. Thanks for your consideration. All the best to you and your family.

Life is not a game, it's a school, we either learn and move forward and upward (spiritual self realization awakening), or we don't learn and move backward and downward (away from spiritual awakening). Intelligence can be used correctly, only after it has realized the inescapability of spiritual law.

he's right about the way the world is, but he should tone down the part about questioning the people in your life, he's borderline encouraging paranoia which is itself is toxic.
