      Awww my mate of 41 yrs felt this way about me he passed away last year...I am a happy woman we had so many adventures foreign backpacking trips when young, sailing the Caribbean for ten years on our 45 ft sailboat starting at 50. Crusing to Europe mamy times later during 20 years
      Iiving in beautiful Guatemala surrounded by volcanoes slowly renovating and expanding a house and garden just HEAVEN. H e is here with me in eveything I see and do. STILL. He eill never leave my side.. His ashes sit on our bedroom mantel where I can see them constantly we will be buried at sea our ashes mixing and falling to the bottom together forever in the element we loved MOST on earth the ocean from whence we all came. For eternity....whatever happens to that ocean floor we will continue on some tiny pieces of us together....

    Lewis is so attractive, not just the way he looks, but his energy and the way he connects with his guests, his gentleness, sensitivity, and his interest in certain topics which are relevant, he goes deep and asks questions boldly. It's not what this really important conversation with Dr. Phil is about. But I just had to say it.

    My boyfriend is really good at making eye contact when we are together. I am still getting used to it because it makes me really nervous and excited but I absolutely love it. It is so intimate and brings us so much closer and naturally makes us both feel more vulnerable. I think everyone should try it with your significant other on a daily basis.

  • @susanshaver912
    @susanshaver912 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Dr Phil is repeating here several things I heard him say in the other video, but that's ok. .. Don't talk about issues and resentment wile you are angry with each other. Talk about it while things are calm (You don't talk to a drunk while they are drinking). Don't try to solve problems during crisis. The objective is to be heard and then walk away and let that sit with the other person.Both people be heard and then walk away, not be a win lose situation. You can't have the goal of "You're going to agree with me!" You don't want either person to be the loser. ....... After having unhealthy conversations with certain members of our family, I find one of these type of videos and know that it takes two to tango. I can only do my part in the communication. I can't force the other person to be willing to be honest and kind. But I feel better knowing that I also have and have had relationships that are loving and healthy and we both worked to communicate with each other. Unfortunately if the other person is not willing to respect boundaries or be willing to jointly look at different sides of an issue, then I have had to make a boundary very firm. A lot of this applies to friendships and relationships with siblings and even older children. If only one member is willing to go to therapy then the relationship will probably continue to have problems, or not be able to be truly close. Lewis summary and his own advice starts at 58:51. Thank you for this wonderful video Lewis :)

    That's when love happens when you're not looking for it. People are more open and honest about everything in their life. So they're able to be just who they are so we let people in we're not guarded.

    I love her and stand by her 100%. Well done you guys! You are fab. I tried to look after the relationship on my own and I do understand so well what it is like to have it black and white! You do not want control and dominance from yourself or the other one, but instead tries to understand, co-operate and flow through changes together in challenging times in willingness. Sincere conversation. The simple condition/agreement of intimacy of yours is worth gold and diamonds. No name calling. Be yourselves and grow together. Talk about things in private. Have the precious eye contact, call, text etc daily. Say I love you sincerely. Sometimes we need to admit that we have given it all, but it is not the right thing anymore. We tried and grew apart. Thank you so much for this valuable interview and added points of view..💞💐🌟👍♾

    Thank you Lewis for having Dr. Phil on your show. It was packed with practical, considerate and wise things to cultivate a good relationship and marriage. I enjoyed it so much and I always agree with Dr. Phil. He is such a wonderful person and man. I wish I had found someone like him in my youth, but I never did and I never settled and I'm alone now. In spite of it I have no regrets because I felt it was better to be single then stuck in a bad or abusive relationship and thats just not something I could do. Personally I think when someone matures it could happen at any age in life depending upon circumstances and hardships and needs and events what you take away from those experiences can make you a wiser more stable person. Person who don't just think about the moment but how their response can affect someone's life in their future because the present choices affect our future..

    Sometimes I do agree with dr Phil , sometimes I don’t. I think we have too many theories in the life and not enough basics, common sense, respect, distinguishing between small stuff and important. We don’t hear ourselves, there is so much noise pollution..do this, do that..be this be that.
    Yes, there are important issues to discuss in any relationship, but generally, people do argue, have different opinions. We cannot discuss everything. I have a strong belief that people who have a good relationship, kind of click, if not from the start, but soon. That does not mean they don’t argue or they don’t have to discuss certain issues, but from my own experience and many others..do not overanalyse everything.

    I’ve always secretly called Dr. Phil Dr. Feel because he is so spot on with feelings and situations! Behind every awesome man is an even more awesome woman! Thanks to ALL of them, the host (I’ve been a fan for a few years now) Mr. Phil and Mrs. Robin

    Listening to this makes me really want to see an in depth interview with his wife Robin! She’s empowered… a woman that can stand up for herself in a relationship year after year with him is an empowered woman who we can learn from.

    LOVE all the GREAT questions you asked Dr. Phil. And I LOVE the advice he gave . Such a WONDERFUL relationship him and Robyn have. The way he speaks about her is TRUE LOVE.
    This was INSPIRING and an eye-opener. I want to THANK YOU for YOUR awesome questions. And for interviewing Dr. Phil because he has the kind of the that EVERY man SHOULD have for their woman. As well as Robyn having the kind of love EVERY woman SHOULD have for their man. I LOVE the way he lights up when he talks about her. It's ADORABLE.
    THANK YOU again to you AND Dr. Phil.
