Stephanie, these cookies are delicious! My mom used to make these and they literally melt in your mouth. I remember being newly married (41 years ago) and making these for my husband. I didn't know how to bake or cook back then and when he got home from work and tasted them he thought I'd purchased them from a bakery. I will use your recipe for the batch I make for Christmas because every recipe you share is truly the best! Thanks for reminding me of how easy and scrumptious these cookies are.
    Happy holidays!

I have made these a few times and when I chopped the pecans that much I did not taste them much. But when I chopped them in small pieces not mush it was way better. So I don't use the food processor anymore, I use the bottom of a cup and keep the pieces bigger than the food processor. But of course to each their own. But belive me you can taste the pecans better and it makes the entire recipe.

Perfect pre-Christmas recipe. I'm thinking about pressing them lightly into coloured sugar as many don't want to have powdered sugar all over their mouths.
Tip: For anyone using a Christmas green/red coloured sugar for anything. Buy 2x the amount of red as to green b/c the red doesn't show up very well.
