Yup... I used this on my trip to Miami Beach and the Bahamas in February... every now and then the connection gets glitchy, but for the most part a great asset to/for the Action 3.... Annnd for those who have MULTIPLE Action 2/3's, this remote can operate up to 6 different cameras simultaneously... 😎 and it's also water proof... don't forget to get the DJI Magnetic Ball-Joint Adapter Mount to attach to camera

What’s the max range you’ve used this at? (I have a cheapo ((£5)) Bluetooth remote I use with my iPhone and saves loads of time especially when zoomed in on something on a tripod. No need to wait for the wobbles to stop after touching the main screen… works up to about 8 feet distance).
great video mate. quick question... can the remote control more than one device, to start recording on say 3 of the action cams? Also, can it remotely turn the cameras on/off? it's for an interview setting, but I can't get to the camera to turn if off then on again whilst I wait for the next interview. or if I turn it on initally, how long will it stay on but not recording if I'm between shots. not sure of the set up I need
It cannot turn the cameras on and off. But as for operating more than 1 camera, I think it can but I am not 100% sure as I only own 1 A3. When the remote powers on you can cycle through number of devices (which i assume would be for multiple cams). the length of time it stays on is dependent on the standby time of the A3. hope this helps.

DJI Support just told me that the - Osmo Action GPS Bluetooth Remote Controller - supports 16 cameras simultaneously. Do you have two Action 3/4's? Does it work to control both simultaneously? Can you start and stop recording on both cameras at the same time? Or is the remote you're talking about a different one?

I am afraid i am not sure if it can start multiple cameras as I only have one Action 3.

The one in the video is from my Dji Gimbal, but you can buy similar on Amazon. Search Amazon for "Andoer Mini Gimbal Tripod Small Camera Tripod" and that will lead you in the right direction. 🙂

Hi was just about to order this off Amazon for £50, but on checking the reviews (need to hit the translate to English as no UK reviews yet) one reviewer says that the remote doesn't work if the video is set to HDR can someone confirm if this is true or not, as would be pointless me ordering it if it doesn't as 99% of my videos are daylight and set to HDR ..

I just confirmed. When I set to HDR. it will change to pending. When I take it out of HDR it goes back to functioning. I need to try with my Action 2 to if the results are the same. Aha. The OSMO ACTION 2 does not support HDR. I did not find a selection for it in the menu as with the OSMO ACTION 3. Seems DJI needs to come out with an updated remote. However it does work very well with both models. I am glad I saw this video.
If you Google about this remote that is for the osmo 2 it says that it will work with the osmo 3 but some functions will not be available, and as to date they ain't planning on doing a remote for the osmo 3 either
Great vid, so am i correct in thinking that the action 2 remote tripod and the tripod you are using in your vid are different? reason being there is a 1/4 thread on the action 2 pod and there is nowhere to connect this on the action 3, please advise, thank you :)

I'm looking for a osmo action 1 remote control. Anyone knows one? I ride BMX and sometimes i put the camera in some place of the skatepark to record my practice and a remote control is a must have in that situation. I dont want to use the smartphone app because it's not practical.

Thanks for doing this. As a motovlogger, a remote is essential for the way I record my vids. I am hoping to buy the Osmo action 3 soon, but was being held back by the lack of a remote, so no longer an issue. A quick question though, how waterproof/rain proof would you say it was ? Thanks in advance.
There's a review of the stick on TH-cam and it states that DJI don't recommend it near moisture!

the remote is not waterptoof, put it in a ziplock plastic bag
