This is the very best type of review 🤩 It's a device with 2 buttons and you managed to make 11 minutes on it, testing every single scenario possible and testing every aspect of it. No flashy b-roll, no crappy slowmo ^^ Just a man exploring his new gadget 🤪 It's so refreshing, thank you !
Can we use remote with external power to increase up time? I'm recording my long flights, sometimes can be 6+ hours long. I'm feeding cameras with power banks I want to do same for the remot if possible?
@@mygiguser if you can test it to see if the remote operates cameras while connected to external power I'd appreciate it. I asked chatgpt and it answered opposite 🤔
Thanks for showing all the details of the remote there's not a lot of people that really show it working and how it's working correctly so I do appreciate that. Would you happen to know if this remote works with the new osmo Pocket 3?
@@mygiguser see I have not either not you might know because you have the remote not a lot of people even have the remote it seems like. Thanks for the quick response
Thanks for the video! Would have been nice to see what happens in all these situations when the DJI Mic-2 is connected to the camera. Will it reconnected after it has been put to sleep? How much time will it take to reconnect?
hi, long time Gopro Hero 9 user here - I'm considering the Action4, with the remote. While I don't think I have a use for the GPS tagging, I'm worried that the GPS function will impact the operational time of the remote. The spec says it provides more than 60 hours hours of runtime (I've never tested it, and I'm a little dubious - but I only have to recharge it once/week). Do you know how long the Action4 remote will run for on a single full charge?
@@BigTedInOz you can charge it while you use it, but i never ran out of remote battery. The camera battery doesn't last as long as the remote battery. With other words, i don't see a problem with battery life on that remote.
on my cam with the latest firmware (10th of jan) that message @1:36 is longer and says "... within 30 min to wake up camera, or press to enable SnapShot when camera is powered off" . So I would assume that pressing the record button on the remote will wake the camera and start shooting just like it would if pressing record on the camera itself, even after 30 minutes. I am still waiting for my remote so I haven't tested this yet, but that's how I understand that info.

max 3sec with extern mic Hohem AM18( allways on )
Thanks for the review, is their a way to switch between Video and Still image modes via the remote? Its something the GoPro one does do easily.
the remote has that on/off QS button on it. There you can switch modes the same way as on the camera.
@@mygiguser Thanks for the info
Have you noticed any GPS lost ? I saw some videos telling about
@@cotyoran0652 Sometimes it takes some time to aquire a signal, but once it's there it works for me.

Also, can the remote be used while it's on charge? This would render the first question less important ;).

since the recording of this video, has there been a firmware update that extends the 30min shutdown window ?
i haven't seen any

Can the remote send a highlight tag to multiple cameras?
no, also no wakeup sleeping displays.gps overlay ok
I do not have the option “Bluetooth remote” in my settings..
Yeah, you need the Osmo Action 4 for that.
When I bought a new Osmo Action 4 I had some old firmware without "bluetooth remote" in the menu. Item apperated after updating to latest firmware.
For anyone interested I contacted DJI and these are 10hz gps...
Made for small Asian hands 😂😂
