After this video was released, DJI has upgraded the camera software that includes 10.bit colours and Rocksteady+ (insane crop) I still setup the camera the same way, I only choose 10.bit instead and this force the camera into H.265 compression.
Hi, I'm currently trying to find the best setups for vlogging, especially moto vlogging... I'm using the new firmware and while I was very impressed with RS+ (I use that whenever i dont mount the camera vertically, then I use HorizonSteady) I noticed that my footage started showing annopying screen jitters when I started to use an ND8 filter and fixed shutter speed. Apparently, and many YT videos seem to say the same, most action cams including my Action 2 and Osmo Action3 seem to have issues with the stabilisation quality when using ND filters and manual shutter settings. I'm hoping to reduce or eliminate this by going back to RockSteady (not plus) and maybe minor settings adjustments (shutter speed)...
@@maxx2174 Yeah, i have this as well on cloudy days or going into areas with a lot of shade! The camera need more or higher shutter speed to work well! So i think it is around 1/200 or 1/250 that is the best shutter speed on this camera
@@TheCBRider86 good point... I've never considered to turn stabilisation off.. but i might try that on my next ride along with the nd filter and manual shutter just for a test...

Thank you so much sir, really appreciate the nice and honest comment. Wanted to make a video that everyone could make good use of. And glad it worked. Cheers 🙏🏻
thanks so much for tips color grading, I just purchased my first dji action 3 and I don't really know how to use it for great edit, then I've seen your video pop up on my fyp, its great to learn this less than 15 minute
Thank You! I recently bought the Osmo Action 3 and looking for help to get the most from it so I really appreciate your demonstrations of using it and Davinci software.
Just tested mine on a bicycle ride , followed your instructions on how to edit. Really impressed with it , the stabilization is really impressive. I have a GoPro too but this camera is so much better.
Thanks, I already have my Action 3 for almost a year now and I do use Davinci Resolve but up to now I always just used auto white balance and the normal color profile. The color page in Resolve just looked too complicated. Your 6 minute introduction looks easy so I decided to throw some appreciation your way and bought the LUT. Now I'm waiting for a bit of nice weather to go out, shoot some footage and start to play with this myself
It looks way more complicated than it is. When you get the hang of what Lift, Gamma and Gain does and how little work can change the picture quality for the better, there is no going back. Really looking forward for better weather myself. The winter hit us hard this year, so still a lot of snow here. Cheers
Yeah, and if you invest in the DJI mic, you Get crazy good motovlog sound from the helmet! Best setup for this type of filming. Glad you found it helpfull
I see that more and more motorcycle riders prefer the DJI over GoPro. I guess it has most to do with the freezing and corrupting files issues, but yeah. I'm really impressed by this camera, and nothing is better for us than more competition on this market 👏🏻
When you set the whitebalance, that sensor does not matter anymore, it only helps when you go from like say indoors to Outdoors, or down in water with auto whitebalance 😉🔥
Very complete information. It really helped me decide on the Action 3. Let me know which helmet mount model do you have? it looks very functional. greetings
Just bought an Action 3 and was a bit disappointed with imagery. Will give it another chance with your colour grading and settings. Your are right , operation of this camera couldn't be better. Thanks , learnt a bit more about Davinci too.
How do you use the camera and what did you find disappointing? I’m quite happy with the camera for my use, but with that said, i use my camera only for action shots with a lot of movements etc. Glad the video helped. Cheers
@@tshansen At present I got it to mount on my ebike to record rides. This is satisfactory. Still lacking a great deal of knowledge regarding cameras. Have a pocket 2 though and close in it is crystal clear unlike the action 3 lacking detail and " muffled " . Background lacks detail.
@@philsmeanderings7991 I saw a video where a guy put glasses in front of the camera and it become so much sharper So there is probably a lense issue with some of the cameras, not something to fix in firmware
Hi! I just purchased a Osmo action 3 and it's my first action cam. I have to learn a lot but this video already points me in the right direction! What program are you using to run the LUT for colour correct your videos? I want to use it for driving so your setup will be something I will try to achieve as well.
Great video with a lot of information. But could you please help me ? I also have a DJI AC3 + windslayer but the result sucks ... I even have a big plexi so far what you don't have. What are your settings ? Wind reduction on/off ? Channel mono/stereo ? Directional audio off/front ? And then any specific adjustments in the davinci resolve ? .. and a lot of times the audio sounds like the volume is jumping up and down. Very annoying
My settings are: Channel - Stereo. Noise reduction - on, Directional Audio - Off.... In DaVinci I drag the clip down to the timeline, right click on the clip and Normalise audio Levels, then I use the Sample Peak Program, and use -9 dBFS.... Try that and see what you get?
I mounted the exact windslayer you showed on my action 3, and in 15 minutes my camera overheated in 72 degrees Fahrenheit in the shade, and my camera shut down.
@@tshansen I was shooting 4k at 30fps with rock steady on. I wonder if you were shooting 1080 and that's cooler? I so loved your idea. I thought it was brilliant.
@@tshansen You only use the windslayer on your motorcycle, where you probably don't sit still and idle more than 5 minutes? And then you're at 40 mpg/80 km hr or more for good wind cooling? Mine was on a tripod for 15 minutes in my shop, with maybe a tiny fan breeze on it, or maybe no fan. I just thought of that.
I never use my action cam in low light. The sensor is just not big enough. You could try to crank the iso up to 1600 and see how that will affect the image, but don't get your hopes up.
Ty for share. I am not a specialist, I just try to understand, but, I if u put on dlogm , it make a flat colours footage. So it's normal that ure vidéo without lut or corrections is bad looking. U can't compare it with the final corrections. I would want to see a comparison between a normal footage and a dlogm corrected
Well, if you not sure if it is worth it, just stick to Normal footage and be happy about it. The reason you want to shoot in D-Log is to match it up with other color profiles and get more flexibility in post. Some want to have the full potential in cameras like this, others don't care and that is fine.
I don’t think so… from my experience it is more like the camera lack digital sharpening applied in the camera so you need to add this in post. But i can’t see how it is out of focus. Need to do some more investigation and pixel peeping.
Thank you for this video. Are you keeping the shuter speed on auto when you using the nd filters? I learned to set the shutter speed twice the frames per second (24 frames are 1/50 Sec). br Dan
@@tshansen Whoa - I was about to leave a comment after the video, but jumped over to Amazon and put an Action 4 in my cart (I have one already), I always make myself wait to next day before ordering lol, so decided to read more comments and found this comment. Do you take any precautions when you are leaving the camera on the side of the road for filming yourselfe driving past? In practice it will take some minutes to take these shots.....
Yes, I make sure it is safe and on the outside of the road so I dont disturb traffic or others that may pass me. I have had a couple of cars slowing down thinking I was the police or something. But normally where I ride there is not a lot of traffic so you manage this quite fine. I don't take any chances. And it has become second nature for me to "look" for spots that can be a good frame to pass by. Yes, it takes a little bit of extra time, but I plan out the day and know what parts I want to focus on when shooting. Cheers 👏🏻
I really like what you do with your Sony camera, with the drive-by? type shots. Do you plan to do a video on that camera and how you use it, and if not, can you say which Sony it is, and what lens you typically use?
I have a couple of videos planed about camera gear and how I use it with some practical examples. But then I need to wait so I can go ride my bike again. early spring is a good time for content like this I think. I will try to show what camera I use, how I plan for certain shots, how I setup and do all the practical outside on the road. Good Morning Sven 🤩 So glad to see you in the comment section again. Well, I tried to hook a mic up with a cable from my backpack to the camera via TRS to Usb-C but without luck. I see in some videos it works, and others say you need an adapter. So for me it was to much hassle to get that shit running. And I felt like the camera slowed down like crazy when you connected the mic to the usb-c plug 🤔
@@tshansen ok, thanks. Seems like the audio is acceptable anyway with that GoPro foam around, nothing is better. But if you want to use the cam as a studio cam you will need an adapter to use a better mic and to get rid of the echo. Nice grunt of that T7 engine btw :-)
@@tubelesschannel Yeah, for how I use my Action cam, the windslayer is the best option. I never use the action cam as a studio cam, this is where my Sony shines, but for others who may use it, this is valuable information. The T7 engine is amazing. Damn I have had such a great time on this bike this season 🤩
Hey Thomas! this was so helpful! I just got the adventure combo, OA3 for a great price brand new! Very excited about this, going to try and record some of my rides this year! What I experience as I get older, is I really like to look back at pictures of old trips etc, it means more and more to me. I realized I never really had taken so many pictures, and never really any video. Hopefully that will change now!
Great to hear this Daniel. Really glad it was helpful and you found it informative. And i have to agree.. looking back on pictures is one thing, but looking back on trip videos is something completely different and is so much better (in some cases) i really love to do both. Video for everyone, and photos mostly for my self and the family’s. Cheers
Here the osmo 4 and go pro 11 are about AU$469 ( US$ 314), and the osmo 3 is au$270 ( us$181 ). I think for my 1st camera the osmo 3 would be ok yes? Save me some dollars too 😂
Great video. I have ordered the action 3 in 2024 as a B roll cam to compliment the Ozmo 4. I was able to get a new one off of Amazon for $194.00 U.S. which I think is an absolute steal considering the quality of the action cam.
@@tshansen Some of the early models had focus problems but that was corrected about 3 months after the issue became known. I'm sure you'll enjoy the hero 12.
Always a treat when I get a notice you have created a new video and thanks for the tip on wind noise reduction and I ordered one for my Osmo Action (first edition). Stay warm my friend :)
Hello from France ! Found your nice videos by chance. Just got my motorcycling license last year, still learning (and will always be). Your videos are "selling" well Norway! Now I want to go there! I have a question: is the Osmo Action the only camera (and the drone, of course) you bring with you to film your roadtrips? I tried to bring my hybrid camera (Nikon Z6) in my roadtrips, but between the hassle to get it out of the bag and the fear of having it damaged or stolen, I ended up using my phone most of the time both for filming and shooting stills. I'm now considering buying the Osmo 3 instead, but I also love to shoot and film people and places with a proper camera. Not easy to favor the trip or making pictures!
Hello my friend. Really glad you found my channel and thank you for taking the time to watch and write to me. I also bring my Sony A7S iii as my stationary camera, that i use for most shots. The Osmo Action 3 i only use for riding footage. I understand you are scared for your equipment, it is expensive, but i treat it as a tool. I need it to do the job, and make sure my equipment is insured. I could not go on trips with a poor camera. I’m way to interested in it.
Nice video. Thanks for sharing. I recently bought the OSMO Action 3 and am now looking for a good solution to attach the camera to my motorbike helmet. What mount do you use in your video?
Thank you Sir… in this video i use the gripper mount from Dango Design… but i got a new mount before this season that i glued to the helmet that is way smaller and lighter, the reason i liked the gripper mount so good was the ease to take the camera on and off the helmet. Now with the new magnet quick release it is much easier to take it off and on, compared to the GoPro 👏🏻
Great video, I really enjoyed learning and now I am motivated to review all my moto vlogging video and create more. Thank you. I have a question, please let me know what type of helmet mount do you use to get this footage ? Looking forward to more of these great videos.
Before i was about go with gopro but after watching lots of review and your's too, now I'm about to switch towards dji action4. Nice information as i was searching. Thankyou, love form India❤️💐
Just been trying this camera out and I’ve got to say as much as there’s a lot of positives over the go pro, I’ve been experiencing audio problems with external mic within the helmet. The gain doesn’t turn down enough and there’s distortion especially when the visor is down. Maybe this could be cured with a software update, I’m gutted I was really hoping with was going to be the one.
I never use my action cam with external mic, so i can’t give you my experience with this. But i guess there should be better options to regulate this in camera? 🤔 Maybe easy to do with software update? I’m not sure. My GoPro was starting to mess up my footage at the end of last season, so i really had to change that camera out. I have not got that much experience with this camera yet, but i will only use this as my action cam from now on. The gopro is retired ☺️
Thanks for your vid, Thomas. The DJI looks like an easy-to-use cam, making life on the road - ah - easy. But the image quality of the latest GoPro tempts me. I use fully closed transparent underwater boxes for action cams. Bulky? Yes, Sir. Sturdy? Yes, helps a lot when dropping them (offroad). All the best from Nürnberg/Germany, Günter
Good evening Günter, yeah… it is really strange that such small changes can make such a huge difference in usability and wanting to use the camera in different situations. Everything that is stress free or without hassle will be used more often (in my book) Well, dont you struggle with the sound when you put it into those boxes? Can just remember how it was back in the days when we had the first generations of GoPros. Cheers mate
@@tshansen Good evening, Thomas. These boxes do work well. You get some sound (cam mounted on chin or mirror), but you won't get deafened. Only when I install it next to the Transalp's engine on the side crash bar it gets a bit noisy. I have to turn down the volume in post production. But these boxes make life on the road trouble-free. Good that DJI keeps GoPro innovative ;-)
You look like you were lucky with getting one in focus. I've already went through two with the out of focus issue. The plant workers didn't screw in the lens properly on some units.
I have seen some people online that had to return the camera 4 times before getting a proper one. Real shame that so many people have issues with the camera. So they have found the reason for the focus issue now? I guess this is not from DJI them self? More people who have found out by them self? Cheers
Hi Thomas, will you recommend osmo action 3 for food vlogging indoors like restaurants? Can the soft images from low light footages be edited into a nice video? Im leaning towards DJI because of the price, but it seems many people recommend hero 11 for better image quality. Im just a beginner and will be filming both outdoors and indoors.
I can recommend the Osmo action 3, but if it is better than the Gopro hero 11 is hard to say for that usage. I have never used mine as a vlogging style camera, nor have I used the hero 11. If one camera is better than the other (image wise) it is marginal, and all the other benefits of the DJI Osmo is way more important for me than what you get from the gopro.
how is the Osmo Action 3 for long time recording? I go on tours were we stop every two hours or so and I would like to hook up the camera to a power source for continuos shooting over those periods of time. I'm new to your channel, and would like to know what video editor you are using too. TIA.
Hello Mike I have not tried it for long recordings my self, I only do short clips every now and then. But from what I can understand, looking around online. You hook it up with a power bank, or fixed outlet on the bike and it will continue to run until the memory card is full. I use an editing software called DaVinci Resolve 18. you can find it for free at Blackmagic Design. Cheers
Thank you DN... what settings do I use? not sure what of them you refer to, but I have a 4K timeline with 25FPS and I export with some custom settings to fit my needs. That can variate from project to project, but for only TH-cam videos I render out in h.264/QuickTime and quality set to auto

@@tshansen i have read that he color temperature sensor is built into the letter "O" of the logo on the front of the camera. Will it not have an impact on this?
@@2wheeledgreco271 That is correct… the sensor is behind the O. But if you plan on going under water, you take the windslayer off. You should never have the camera on white balance auto, you should set it manually, and adjust it slightly in post for the best colour accuracy when it comes to action cam.
@@tshansen Oh okay, im a total noob here 😆 but what i dont understand... If you set a given setting for the white balance, and you plan to film a road for 20-30 min, are there settings good for all the condition during this time? Maybe you'll have some darker areas in the woods amd then bright again on open roads... Or am i missing simeting
@@2wheeledgreco271 that is fine, we have all been there! White balance is hust how cool or warm your colours look! So normal daylight is about 5600 kelvin. On cloudy days you want to set it for 6000 on bright days you would set it closer to 5000! Inside a house with normal warm lights you will probably want to set it closer to 4000! How bright a image looks in shaddow area is depending on shutter speed, iso and F stop 🤩
Think of the ND filter as sunglasses for your camera. If the shutter speed is to high, you will get more of a freeze frame effect and little motion blur. That looks really unnatural and will oversharpen the image. Not great.
Do you know if it is possible to streamline the post process in Davinci Resolve? It takes so much time to do exactly the same thing to every shot. Is it possible to chose - lets say - 20 clips at the same time and apply the LUT to all of them? I dont know but I think with a longer video that would easily helps you to save one hour...
Yes, this is really easy to do in Davinci... you set up the node tree in one clip, and then you mark all clips from the same camera and middle mouse click on the first clip you have colour graded. This will copy everything to the existing files. I'm not sure if that was a good explanation, but hope you understood. Cheers
Man great video, i read in more video tutorial, this: "the motion blur effect dont work if the rokstady stabilization are ON" with osmo action3, its true or not? Set: nd filter, 4k 25fps, shutterspeed 1-50, iso 100-800!
Well.... to understand the whole motion blur effect you need to understand what shutter speed does to the image. For normal movement you need a shutter speed of twice the framrate. like when I'm walking around I have 1/50 and a 25fps footage. (PAL region) but when you start moving faster. like a motorcycle, you can have higher shutter speed and still get the motion blur. Like 1/200 is good for riding footage, but the rocksteady on the Osmo Action 3 is so intense, it needs really high shutter speed to work. up towards 1/500 and this will take away the motion blur. If you put on a ND filter, you will only get shaky ruined footage. The micro jitters are intense. This is why I'm not using the Osmo action 3 anymore and got myself a GoPro Hero 12 🙌🏻
@@tshansen Thank you very much! Now I have another problem, when I use the Lut, the colours really sucks, the blue looks radioactive…. Don’t know what I’m doing wrong.
@@Paulschen100 that is because you try to apply the lut on more than one node, or you have shot the footage in normal colour space! This lut only works ok footage shot in D-Cinelike
Did you experience any heating with the windslayer? Where i live, the temps go upwards of 38C 😅 BTW, just bought my OA3 Standard combo. wanted adventure combo, but unfortunately it was not available where I live :( Remaining to test out the sharpness. Got the 11/2022 batch.. hopefully it does not have the issue😖
No, i have not have any heating issues with my camera at all. But keep in mind, here we have cold weather almost all year around 😂 But from what i can see online there is not many heating issues with this camera. Cheers
Perfect walkthrough for setting up the camera when using the footage as part of a video edit with color grading! 👍I would think most of this is valid for any use of the camera, not just for capture video when motorcycle riding. Need to check out these ND filters. I can understand the need for it on bright sunny days, but do you use it outdoors on cloudy days as well?
Yeah, this settings would be the same for anyone who use this camera. Yeah, it looks like freewell is the only one that offers ND filters at this time! But i guess polarpro is not far behind. Yes i use ND-8 on cloudy days 👏🏻
Hi, about the windslayer. Did you cut it or modded it to make it fit your action 3? Cause i couldnt find the one you have. (As in a go pro windslayer with a small hole in the front) Ive bought one that is actually meant for osmo action but im a bit worried about the front screen being exposed to possible stonechips. Your solution looks way nicer in that regard so im curious if ive been just looking wrong.
@@tshansen thanks for the fast response. My stubborn mind was looking for it for it for 2 h before i decided to give up an just ask😂 watched a couple of your vids and i find them very imsperational. Keep up the good work and thanks again for your answer
Yes, that is why I got back to the Hero 12. The DJI Osmo Action 3 is almost useless in shadow areas and overcast. You need between 1/200 to 1/500 shutter speed for the rocksteady to work.
Hi. Thanks for the video. I just bought an Action 3 and I'm a biker too. Can I ask where have you mounted your camera when you're riding the bike? Is it a chin mount or a chest mount? Thanks.
Exactly! I'd pick the Action 3 over the GoPro Hero 11 any time! The quick charging feature add to that a much longer battery life, those are big factors why I picked the Action 3 instead of the GPHero11
Yeah, when it comes down to real time use the DJI just win every time. Even if the spec sheet is better on the GoPro, it just lack to much features that is important in day to day use
Thanks for the video Thomas - it'd be great to see a comparison of normal colour vs graded d.cinelike for those of us that don't know if we can be bothered with the added effort... cheers!
I may do a follow up on this in a future video. It all depends what you are planing to use your footage for and if you are planing to do some colour correction. If not, use normal colour profile. Cheers
Well, there is many great SD cards, but I prefer and only use Sandisk and Lexar, in my omso Action 3 I use a SanDisk Extreme Pro microSDXC Class 10 UHS-I U3 V30 A2 170/90MB/s 128GB
Enjoyed the video, thanks for the LUT! Color grading the DJI has been more challenging than my Nikon gear. Also, glad to see you haven't noticed the focusing issues, I haven't either which makes me wonder if it is specific batches of units.
Thank you so much Christopher, appreciate the support and the coffee ☕️🔥 Action Cam, and their colours are always a little bit difficult or challenging to colour grade, but I find this lut helps me a lot. And make it so much easier to have a consistent result. Yeah, I have seen a lot of videos about this, but I think In some of the cases it is just the lack of sharpness added from the camera compared to the gopro. Wide lenses like this will always have focus issues in close ups. But I'm no expert. I leve it up the others to speculate in this. I'm happy with mine so far 🎥 Cheers
How is the digital stabilisation of Action 3 coping with those ND 8/16 filters? Onboard footage looks quite decent with no glithing due to the low shutter speed making RockSteady crazy. Do You use them all the time just switching between 8 and 16? Thanks.
I only use nd8 or no ND at all because of what you describe! The rocksteady is terrible with low shutter speeds! On bright days i use ND8 and cloudy days i run without a ND 👏🏻🔥
I'm not quite sure what you mean? it is not that much to set up, it is like a gripper thing you just attach in the front? Dango design gripper mount is the name of the chin mount,
After this video was released, DJI has upgraded the camera software that includes 10.bit colours and Rocksteady+ (insane crop) I still setup the camera the same way, I only choose 10.bit instead and this force the camera into H.265 compression.

Hahaha thank you sir 🙌🏻
Cheers
Just wondered which winds later you used, I use the rycote dead cats to deflect the wind which are ideal but a bit crazy looking.
I use old windslayers from my GoPro hero 7 and just modified them a little to fit the new mount.

Yeah, and if you invest in the DJI mic, you Get crazy good motovlog sound from the helmet! Best setup for this type of filming. Glad you found it helpfull
Moved from GoPro to DJI a long time ago, love the original and the Action 3 is perfect for motovlogging…
I see that more and more motorcycle riders prefer the DJI over GoPro. I guess it has most to do with the freezing and corrupting files issues, but yeah. I'm really impressed by this camera, and nothing is better for us than more competition on this market 👏🏻
Doesn't the wind slayer cover up the color sensor in the logo between the two front mics?
When you set the whitebalance, that sensor does not matter anymore, it only helps when you go from like say indoors to Outdoors, or down in water with auto whitebalance 😉🔥

Need a night time setting video I ride in the woods I can never get the low light one to turn on
I never use my action cam in low light.
@@tshansen u didn't understand me.

Yes, I make sure it is safe and on the outside of the road so I dont disturb traffic or others that may pass me. I have had a couple of cars slowing down thinking I was the police or something. But normally where I ride there is not a lot of traffic so you manage this quite fine. I don't take any chances.
You look like you were lucky with getting one in focus. I've already went through two with the out of focus issue. The plant workers didn't screw in the lens properly on some units.
I have seen some people online that had to return the camera 4 times before getting a proper one. Real shame that so many people have issues with the camera.

I have not tried it for long recordings my self, I only do short clips every now and then. But from what I can understand, looking around online. You hook it up with a power bank, or fixed outlet on the bike and it will continue to run until the memory card is full.

Shutter speed auto what the point to use nd filters? 🤔 Can I add shutter speed as manual.?

Is it possible to chose - lets say - 20 clips at the same time and apply the LUT to all of them? I dont know but I think with a longer video that would easily helps you to save one hour...
Yes, this is really easy to do in Davinci... you set up the node tree in one clip, and then you mark all clips from the same camera and middle mouse click on the first clip you have colour graded. This will copy everything to the existing files. I'm not sure if that was a good explanation, but hope you understood. Cheers
@@tshansen Ah great. Thats worked. Thanks...

Which Windslayer are you using? I can only seem to find them listed for GoPro devices.
I use some old ones for my gopro hero 7 that i had laying around! But you need to modify it 👏🏻
Thanks for the video, but at the right corner, the waveform is not visible, I see "Keyframes". How can I make the waveform visible?
Thanks!!!
In the top right corner you have something called the spline window! Press that?
@@tshansen Thank you very much! Now I have another problem, when I use the Lut, the colours really sucks, the blue looks radioactive…. Don’t know what I’m doing wrong.
@@Paulschen100 that is because you try to apply the lut on more than one node, or you have shot the footage in normal colour space! This lut only works ok footage shot in D-Cinelike
Did you experience any heating with the windslayer? Where i live, the temps go upwards of 38C 😅
BTW, just bought my OA3 Standard combo. wanted adventure combo, but unfortunately it was not available where I live :(
Remaining to test out the sharpness. Got the 11/2022 batch.. hopefully it does not have the issue😖
No, i have not have any heating issues with my camera at all. But keep in mind, here we have cold weather almost all year around 😂 But from what i can see online there is not many heating issues with this camera. Cheers
great advice seems simple way is the best way such a great work flow and great info on the Action 3
Yeah, with little effort and knowledge you can really make cameras like this shine 🔥👏🏻 cheers
@@tshansen I think you might be right there.
I took a windslayer for the gopro hero 7 and cut it to fit my needs 👏🏻🔥
@@tshansen thanks for the fast response. My stubborn mind was looking for it for it for 2 h before i decided to give up an just ask😂 watched a couple of your vids and i find them very imsperational. Keep up the good work and thanks again for your answer
you mention the charger.. can you add power bank and run the camer for many hours?
Yes, you can!
@@tshansen great thank you.
@@tshansen Is there a preroll mode, where you have it on your bike/dash and hit record after you see some bad driving or have a near miss??
@@sammorganmoore I think so, nothing i ever use, but i think i have read something about it! Check DJI 🔥
@@tshansen thanks.
Hi, where did you get the LUT you used in the video? Can I get these from somewhere?
You can find them in the link in the description of this video 👏🏻🔥
@@tshansen Oh yes, thank you very much. I totally overlooked it.
@@bigb2602 Thank you for the support mate 🔥👏🏻 enjoy
Did you have any issues with the stabilization of the video when using ND filters?
Yes, that is why I got back to the Hero 12. The DJI Osmo Action 3 is almost useless in shadow areas and overcast. You need between 1/200 to 1/500 shutter speed for the rocksteady to work.
Whic windslayer model (goprp model fit ?) is fitting the action 4 ?
The one I use is for the GoPro hero 7... it will fit the Action 4.
@@tshansen thanks :-). But bad luck….i just ordered the one for 9-10-11 and it is already dispatched for transport
@@scannorse Don't worry should fit that one as well I think. The one from the hero 7 is a bit loose.
Hi. Thanks for the video. I just bought an Action 3 and I'm a biker too. Can I ask where have you mounted your camera when you're riding the bike? Is it a chin mount or a chest mount? Thanks.
I have the camera mounted on the chin when I’m riding, i think this gives the best POV when riding. Cheers
@@tshansen thanks. Yes, it looks great.
Thanks ! Previous OA1 vlogger, and now sold so going to add this in January. Great help. Subbed from Scotland.
🏴🏍️
Awesome! Thank you, glad you fund valuable information in this video. And always appreciate new subs. Thank you so much 👏🏻
WHY 4K AND 25 FPS IT WILL NOT BE SMOOTH WHY NOT USE 1080P AND 120 OR 240 FPS SO ITS MORE SMOOTHER
@@tshansen
Cheers
which sd card should i get ?
Well, there is many great SD cards, but I prefer and only use Sandisk and Lexar, in my omso Action 3 I use a SanDisk Extreme Pro microSDXC Class 10 UHS-I U3 V30 A2 170/90MB/s 128GB
@@tshansen thank you for guiding me. How many 128gb cards should i get ? Is one enough ? How many minutes of footage can it hold for 128 gb ?
Thanks man
You are welcome mate 👏🏻
Such great advice on the setup, thank you! What GroPro Model size of Windslayer do you use for your DJI Action 3?
Glad you found it helpful mate 👏🏻🔥 it is the windslayer for the gopro hero 7 i use, but i guess more of them works if you do some modifications
@tshansen Much Appreciated
How did you setup the chin mount??
I'm not quite sure what you mean? it is not that much to set up, it is like a gripper thing you just attach in the front? Dango design gripper mount is the name of the chin mount,
