Although very confused about everything to do with the Osmo Action 3, I believe now after watching your video that there is hope for me. All I'm trying to do is to set my OA3 up in my art studio to record my painting tutorials and samples of my process on the easel. Sounds easy, right? NOT! I have never used a video camera in my life! So....I will be watching your expert, in depth video, over, and over and over again! Any advice for a dummy?
Glad my video is helping you out! I would say the most important thing you can do is get additional lights. The more light the better when you’re using an action camera indoors. If there is sufficient light the automatic settings should be good enough to give you a quality image. You can get an inexpensive light set on amazon. This is the set I use amzn.to/3Y4fR27 (affiliate link), but there are a lot of options available. I would also suggest getting a compact tripod so you can mount the camera in different spot to get a variety of angles and shoots of you and the easel. I’ve even used a mouth piece mount to get close up POV shoots on my install videos on my other channel. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Thanks! If you’re outdoors during the day you should be ok setting the exposure to auto. I would go with 4k resolution and a frame rate of 60 that why you can slow down the footage if you get a good action shot catching a fish. At 60 fps you can’t use the enhanced image quality but I think you can get quality footage without it. Good luck shooting your video!
I don’t know dji customer number, but I would try the dji website. I do know that dji released a firmware update a few weeks ago that was supposed to improve livestreaming.

@@videoholicreturns For what it's worth, I just bought a new adventure combo from Amazon, mfg. 11/2022, I returned an open-box 09/2022 unit. The new unit isn't as sharp as I'd like but it's better than the previous one. Given all of the usability features that trounce the GoPro I think I'm going to keep it. Based on watching other videos the GoPro does seem to have better image quality (bigger sensor) and focus at closer range but the DJI is good enough for me so far and it's a joy to use. If they keep on this track the next version will be amazing.

I just got the Osmo some days ago and tested it today. I have the problem that I am not able to stop the recording anymore. It keeps recording unless i turn off the camera with the button on the left which is highly inconvenient. In this video I saw that you started and stopped recording on the same buttom (with the red dot). Do you have any idea why this does not work on my camera?
One feature I used a lot on my old GoPro (which I had to get rid of because its crappy beta-quality firmware was crashing all the time) was the highlight function while recording a video. I would press the mode button when something interesting happened in a recording and then the media player on the computer would display a mark on that spot. Is there anything similar in the Osmo Action?
I used this camera for the first time riding my snowmobile to record the ride and scenery, but it quit recording just short on 5 minutes. Plenty of space on sd card. 4K 60 fps... How do I set it to keep recording until I press stop? Is that the loop time function?
The default setting should be continuous recording. I’m not sure why it stopped recording. In loop recording the camera is continuous recording but only saves the set recording time.
I just bought the adventure pack but I didn’t get the sd card. How many GB do I need? I can transfer to my phone and delete to make space. But I don’t want to get too low either. Thanks
Is that flat vacuum able to come off once its placed? I want to mount it to a car for an outside shot of the exaust, but cant find any information as to if its a one time use thing
I don’t know too much more about it. When the camera is at a depth of 14m or greater the record stop and button switches to the Quick Switch button. I think has something to do with the increased pressure on the camera and buttons at that depth, but I can’t say for sure.

I'm thinking about getting this camera, I was considering buying GoPro 11, but overheating issues (long biking/quad/gokarts sessions) and reported problems at low temperatures (snowboarding) are just a big no to me. DJI Action 3 looks great, especially after updates, but I have one question - is there any way to mark a highlight during recording?? I can't find any information about this and it's a crucial function for me considering the length of my videos. Makes video editing way easier and quicker.

I'm kinda lost to be honest, I think I'm gonna stick to my GoPro 7 Black a while longer :( Those action cameras are getting closer and closer to be perfect, but I would like to buy once and be happy for years. My perfect camera is pretty "easy" build - all cameras combined already have those features, but not all-in-one :D All i need is good quality 4k (60 or 120 FPS) + stabilization + horizont lock + no overheating/cold temperature issues + possibility to mark highlights (best by remote controle) + good App. GoPro 11 is closest, but there is too many issues with temperatures :( Don't want to spend hundreads of €/$ and be unhappy with the device...
@@Adamus90 I definitely understand wanting to make sure you’ll be happy before making a purchase. For want it’s worth, I’ve been using my Hero 11 regularly in a variety of conditions and haven’t had the issues I’ve had with past models. I haven’t had it overheat or all bugs.
If the camera is off and you press and hold the shutter button the camera will automatically start recording. That feature is called snapshot. I don’t know why it would automatically start recording when you press the power button, tho…
My shutter button started and stopped the recording when I got the camera but now it doesn't work that way anymore. I have to hit the shutter button to start and the power button to stop. I don't know what changed. Anyone??

I have terrible eys and I had installed 10bit update so I tried not to worry about it.. After all here in Portugal christmas period we have about forty five days return policy norma its fifteen with my especially payment cart I get therty days and we also have three years warranty.. To my surprise I went out to test the camera and I sou the DJI official so I decided to walk in store the store was empty and what an opportunity to ask some questions regarding accessories and adress the focus issue to my surprise the store man claimed he didn't know nothing about the focus issues never herd of it and the man also in the store looking at the computer like I wasn't there.. Asked h about the focus issue and wether the up date had any positive feed back... It was like speaking to a wall... Crazy só I decided don't wast any moore time with the osmo action 3 manufacturers Sept 2022 and return it.. I can allways buy it again in six months times and tested again.. Saying that I won't be buying the combo edition I found the selfie stik to big in the store they hade a smaller selfie stick with trypod and a floating stick perfect for my beach out going in the sumer.. And also one spare battery his enough... Really desapoited with DJI... Let's hope six months from now the focus issue have long gone... Wish you well

Hi! I tested it out on a 20 minute loop and it broke up the video into 2 minute clips.

Is the Osmo Action 3 limited to 256Gb SD cards? My old Gopro 7 can handle both 512Gb and 1Tb cards.

No the Osmo doesn’t have a similar feature. You can only favorite ❤️ a single clip not highlight a section in a clip.

Nice! Hope you enjoy it. I buy 256 GB sd cards. I also only buy Sandisk Extreme sd cards I’ve had problems with other brands.

I don't think so, I've not discovered anything like that whilst scrolling through the option or settings.

I believe it’s a one time use. Once the adhesive bonds you would probably need to use heat and adhesive remover to remove it from your car.

The max fps is 30 if you want to use enhanced image quality in 4k.

Check your frame rate. Enhanced image quality isn’t available over 30 fps.
