I love how Tom doesn’t waste anything! I do the same thing because that’s what my Mama did. She scraped off every bowl, spoon, and beaters. Miss her so much.
Tom the pizza looks perfectly delicious. Melissa you have a wonderful husband with a giant heart and Tom your parents raised a good man. Bless u2 for all you do❤
I have a friend that had her grannys hand written recipes for several dishes. A very detailed cake recipe, biscuits, etc. Oh my friend was in her late 80s. So these recipes were well over 100 years old. Her granddaughters copied her recipes onto a cloth. They hand embroidered the recipes and put them in antique frames and they hung proudly throughout her kitchen on the walls. They also had some lovely poetic letters she had written. Maybe that would be a lovely way to preserve your mothers hand written recipes ❤❤
Tom, when you were talking about your favorite toppings this is what I was reminded of. When my boy was about 2-3 years old, he would pick up the phone and order what he'd heard us say so often in his sweet little voice. It was "Hello...Giovannis, I want an 18 " pizza with sausage, macaroni, mushrooms, onions and nano peppers, and double cheese. Thank you." 😇😇LOL
I love that you have her hand written recipe and wanted to let you know you can have that engraved in her writting on a cutting board! My nephew had a recipe of my moms put on a cutting board for my sister shortly after our mom passed away. So special!
My hubby & daughter had my Mom’s prized Pumpkin bread recipe stamped on a cutting board for me. I cried. The writing matched hers perfectly. I see it every day as it’s propped up on my counter like a beautiful piece of art.
I'm a little burnt out on Pepperoni. I do love Sausage, green pepper, onions, black olives, with plenty of cheese, best. Many years ago, if it's still there, there was a place called, Big Ed's, here in Oak Ridge. I'm in North Knoxville here in Tennessee . I haven't been there in close to 40 years! I have been cooking often since I retired, or was disabled in 2010. But I have never tried Yeast. I'm very interested in trying this recipe and others with Yeast. Sounds so yummy 😋! I just found your Channel a few months ago, I'm enjoying it very much!!💖😅
I have been baking bread and making pizza crusts for decades but I make my pizza dough the way Italian’s make their dough, water yeast salt and flour, no sugar or oil needed and the dough is beautiful and tastes delicious. Yeast only needs flour to munch on, no sugar needed, it just takes a little longer for your dough to rise. I put my dough after having kneaded it for 15 minutes by hand (which gives the pizza dough bubbles around the edge like a pizza from a wood fired pizza) an olive oil greased bowl, covered up, into the oven with the oven light on which speeds the rising process.
Homemade pizza, dough and all….so impressive! I am a Philly gal and we have lots of great pizza joints in and around the city of brotherly love, but my all time favorite is Renzi’s on Harbison Avenue in Philadelphia, PA and right now I am lovin’ Anthony’s coal fired pizza in Horsham, PA (Montgomery county). Pizza is great for any meal of the day in my book and you guys have my mouth watering so hubby and I are gonna have to go out for pizza tonight lol!!! Thanks and God bless!
Tom and Melissa..I love watching your videos! I have made several of your recipes and will continue to do so💕 I would like to make a constructive comment: Please have your Momma's recipe laminated ❤ precious, precious.
You are a nice Man. You mentioned your Moms recipe written in her hand. Even at sixt eight years I still get choked up when I read something in my Mom or Dads hand writing and look out when I get out one of Grandmas recipes. I weep. You know what I mean. When you did the potato pancake video it really got to me. Grandma was from Austria and had the accent when I was little I couldn’t identify half of what she was saying but I knew it was all about love. Thanks for your hard work and inspiring great memories!
Wonderful video. We always sprinkle a little corn meal under our pizza crust. We like pepperoni, mushrooms, black olives, and onions on ours. However, we usually just do pepperoni and mushrooms. Our favorite pizza place is Piazza Sorrento in Hershey Pennsylvania
This looks yummy. My favorite pizza is from Al's New York Pizza in Huntington, WV. Tell Melissa I always eat pizza with no sauce. That eliminated heartburn. It started when I visited San Giovanni in Fiore, Calabria, Italy. They never use sauce in that part of southern Italy. They also don't cover it with cheese. Instead they use fresh mozzarella like a topping placed in spots over it. Another thing I discovered over there is they do NOT cut the pizza. You simply just tear it off as you want it. As far as favorite toppings, mine is Italian sausage and a variety of veggies.
I made a homemade pizza last night for supper. We like a thick crust pizza and my dough is very lite and fluffy. Made in a large jelly roll pan. I made 8 loaves of white bread and and 6 loaves of Italian bread every Saturday. (Shared with my parents every week). Love working with yeast doughs. The less you work your dough the lighter it is. Yummy 😋 Yes that is called a Danish dough whisk and works great!
when you were taking the raised Pizza Dough out of the oven, I flashed back to the ep. of "I Love Lucy" when Lucy and Ethyl made home made bread LOL Pizza is another of my go to's , I had some for dinner while watching this. thanks again for inviting us into your home, and Your Kitchen for another Great recipe my friends 😀
Just want you to know I watch a lot of these shows and without a doubt just from watching you and your wife are the nicest people I have seen on you tube I actually think I could come and sit at your table and would be welcome and feel comfortable. Good job, you do a great cooking channel. God bless you both
@NAT-rm9lu, I'm from New Castle (don't live there anymore though). Not heard of that pizza place but the next time I go home I'll have to look it up. As I put in the comments, Top Hat Two pizza (along with Jack's Donuts) is the best pizza in the world 😊... sure do miss them 😔 😊.
Recipes that are written out on lined paper are some of the best recipes. I have several of those, which I have put into photo albums. I find this a great way to store them.
Hi Tom & Melissa I love your show and have learned so much from you since I started watching your show. The very best Pizza I ever had was in Slovenia visiting relatives in 2006. Other than that I lived in Vacaville, CA for over 30 years and Pietro’s Pizza was my very favorite. Thank you so much for sharing your mother and father’s recipe for Pizza Dough, I can’t wait to try it. ❤️
We live in Knoxville, TN. However, our favorite pizza restaurant is located in Beaufort North Carolina. It's called " No Name Pizzza". Its the best pizza we have ever eaten. We discovered it when we were volunteer lighthouse keepers at Cape Lookout, NC. That's an awesome place to visit if your in the area. We really enjoy your videos. We've made several of your recipes. Just made your Butter Pecan Fudge last night ( our 3rd time 😋).
Hey Tom - I stumbled upon your channel before the holidays, and have really enjoyed all the things you have shared - especially the "Twelve Days of Christmas" and now the "Souper Bowl" series. I look forward to each new video. I am commenting today to say - I am 76 years old - love to cook and bake - and have NEVER heard of a Danish Whisk before. I have looked it up online - and am impressed by the comments on it - and I just ordered one from Amazon!! : ) Thank you for for your great videos - and for showing me a new fun tool!! Bless you guys. ❤ and Thank You for the pizza crust recipe!
I made your bacon corn chowder recipe today..It was so good. Doubled the amount, shared it with co workers, it was completely gone. Everyone really enjoyed it.❤
OMG ! Made this pizza dough tonight for homemade pizza, the very best crust I have ever made, it was so easy to put together, this recipe is definitely my go to, your Mother must have been an amazing cook. ( PS ) I did add the salt to the bottom of my pizza pan, great tip, thank you for sharing your Mom’s recipe 😊
The pizza looks really good. Love that clear glass bowl. I have hand written recipes my Mom gave me in a small wooden recipe box 44 years ago when I got married.
What a lovely tribute to your Mom. I am fortunate to have my mothers and grandmothers recipe box with a ton of family recipes in their own handwriting. I cherish it dearly since they are no longer with us. Who doesn’t love 🍕!!!
Hello Friends. Thank you for sharing your Mom's pizza recipe. You might want to consider either putting your recipe in a plastic cover to protect it or make some copies and use them instead of the original. I know how wonderful it is to have things in my Mamas handwriting - so precious, right?
You made this look so much easier than I thought it would be. Our favorite pizza was called the Mona Lisa from De Vinci's Pizza. They're in B'ham, Al. We haven't lived there since 1983 but they're still there. We live in MI now but we've never forgotten how delicious their pizza was. I'll just have to try your recipe to see if I can come up with another favorite.😊
As a fellow Ketuckian…born in Harrodsburg with ties in Somerset and Louisville, transplanted to Northeast Tennessee (Johnson City) Johnny Brusco’s is my favorite. Close second is Gregs. Keep up the great videos.❤️
My favorite pizza is Aroma pizza in ft Wayne in. You mentioned salt on the pizza pan. Aroma uses cornmeal as I do. Also i 27:16 always wait a while after the pizza has started to bake before putting on my cheese. Don’t like burnt cheese😊 26:56
I truly understand how very special your mom's recipe is to you because it's in her handwriting. After my mom passed away I found the last grocery list she wrote out. That was not just a grocery list....it was the final link I had with my mom. When a loved one passes away, the simplest things become ever so special!❤
Chef Boyardee makes a pizza dough in a bx with a can of sauce. I used to cook them in 29:01 the 1970s. I love everything on my pizza except onions & jalapeños! We always went to Pizza Hut if we ate out for pizza.
I'm making homemade pizza Friday night so this video was right up my alley. I also like a lot of pizza sauce. We don't go out for pizza anymore, I just make it here at home. When we had "Papa Murphy's-Take-n-Bake pizza", that was the only place we ate pizza from. They are no longer in Nicholasville, but I think they still have a couple of places in Lexington and Louisville. They will make the pizza right in front of you, but they don't bake it. You take it home and bake it yourself. That way it is nice and hot fresh out of the oven. They make the pizza on an oven-safe tray and you bake the pizza directly on that tray. They include instructions for baking the pizza, but we were old pros since we ate from there about once every 2 weeks. My favorite was the "Herb Chicken Mediterranean" which included the ingredients of.... Grilled Chicken, Spinach, Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Zesty Herbs, Chopped Garlic, Crumbled Feta, Whole-Milk Mozzarella, and Olive Oil & Garlic Sauce......what I liked about it was that it was on a very thin crust and the sauce was made up of olive oil and finely crushed garlic. You can check out their website if that sounds like something you may want to try one day. Wish I had, had you all as my teachers, life would have been more interesting. Tom, you've got the perfect teacher voice and I could listen to you talk all day. You remind me so much of a favorite math teacher I had in HS. He was actually everyone's favorite teacher. I love watching you cook and hearing about your and Melissa's life and adventures. We need to get Melissa in front of the camera to do a cooking segment.
Andy's Pizza and Steakhouse in Dunlap Tennessee. They used to be in Richmond KY when I was at EKU from 73-75 but at some point they moved down there and we found them again. They're as wonderful now as they were then! We drove 3 1/2 hours to eat there again and it hasn't changed a bit. That first bite took me back to my EKU days. Fantastic!!!❤❤
It's so great that you have your mom's hand-written recipes. I just found your channel a few days ago. Binge watched several. Now I have my mother watching too. Our favorite pizza place is in Purcell,Oklahoma Joe's pizza. Best pizza ever. I'm not sure they are still there. We moved away from there, probably 40 years ago.
My favorite pizza came from my mom‘s kitchen! She had a great dough recipe. She made her own sauce, using tomato paste, water, garlic and oregano, She used smoked sausage and shredded cheddar cheddar cheese. Our family loves it to this day, and one of my nieces carries on the tradition. I live in Louisiana, or smoked sausage is a staple! Other than my mom‘s pizza, I love the crust, pepperoni pizza and barbecue pizza, with barbecue sauce, chicken, or brisket and cheese.
I love veggie pizza with onions, bell pepper, black olives, spinach, and zucchini. I also like pepperoni or ground beef. We only have chain pizza places near us. We love to make our own. Thanks for sharing your special recipe. Love your channel!
You showed me something tonight that I am definitely going to try. I am 74 years old and I have never seen the cheese on top of the toppings it was always the cheese put down and then the toppings I like the idea very much and I’m going to give it a try I am also going to put salt at the bottom of the pan I also like my sauce edge to edge just like my toast I want the butter edge to edge. Thank you
It really is! We did enjoy it very much and we love making it even thinner as well. Really, there is not much pizza we don't like. Thanks so much for watching our channel. Hope you're staying warm on this cold winter's day.
The fact that you're left-handed got my sub. There are very few of our kind in the world, we gotta stick together. ✊🏼 Oh, yeah, the food recipes are great too.😄 Favourite pizza place: Main St. Pizza, San Antonio TX. A mom and Pop. They made everything fresh, even had a garden. Have no idea if it still exists, that was at least 30yrs ago. It was right near the SAC(San Antonio college)so I ate there a lot when I was going to college. I looked it up, it's still there. Favourite toppings: For a bacon cheeseburger pizza I like beef, bacon, motz and cheddar cheese and black olives. For any ol' pizza a combo of beef, grilled chicken, black olives, green peppers, bacon, mushrooms as well as different kinds of cheeses depending on my mood. Feta cheese is excellent on pizza.
Looks so good. I want to try making this. I don't like a dry pizza either so it's really frustrating when i order one with extra sauce but they NEVER put extra sauce so making a homemade one would be perfect for my family. Thank you kindly!
That pizza looked really good. Thank you for sharing it with us. As far as a favorite pizza place, I don’t really have one. The worst pizza I ever had I thought was still really good. I just love this stuff!
Looks so delicious. I tend to go vegetarian. Green peppers, onions, mushrooms, banana peppers, and black olives. Cassano's Pizza Piqua, Ohio. Haven't had in a while but it was great.
I have to say I just love when Tom has his first bite haha also I love how you have your mums old hand written recipes I have a few of those too I love them
Love the tip about the salt on the bottom of the pizza pan. I don't eat a lot of pizza, due to dietary restrictions, but I love ham, hamburger, & bacon on my pizza. Love y'alls videos!!
I LOVE 🍕 it, But, me neither, had Heart Surgery in 2022 and have Diabetes. I LOVE SOOO MANY OF THEIR RECIPES, BUT TOO MUCH BUTTER, SUGAR AND SOMETIMES THE CANNED BISCUITS FROM STORE. LIMITED ON SALT, TOO 😕. STILL, LOVE BEING AT THE TABLE HERE WITH TOM & MELISSA 😊💙🙏✝️🙌
Collegeville Bakery in Collegeville PA. We’re from there although we now live in southern DE. The family that owns this place used to be our neighbors two doors down. Their place is exactly the kind of place you would love. Great pizza but oh so much more that you would love. When we go home , we always try to stop in to eat , take out or just say hi to our old neighbors. This is a very special place. Try their fried chicken cutlets, sausage peppers and onions and pulled pork too! We love your show!
I would suggest having such a valued heirloom in a plastic notebook sleeve or have it laminated to keep it clean and preserved. Also make a copy (beforehand) of it should family members want one (especially in her own handwriting) ❤. Edit: it looks easy. And Delicious 🤤
To pop open a tough jar, you can use a bottle opener (mine is on my can opener!) and lift the lid with it slightly - it lets the air out and the top pops, then opening is a breeze!
Hello, I love homemade pizza it's lovely that you have your Mother's that is always precious. Also i like the way that Melissa asks questions that us viewers can't. ❤❤
I enjoy your program and have tried a lot of your recipes. Thanks and keep on making these great recpies. Theres nothing better than recpies thats already been tried to know they are good
The best pizza I have ever had was in Michigan. It's called Buccilli's , a family owned restaurant located in Clare, and Houghton Lake/Prudenville. Absolutely delicious!! My favorite topping is pepperoni, but I also like ham and pineapple. A funny story - my aunt and uncle were visiting Italy and ordered a pizza. They were asked what they wanted on it and they responded - plain. When the pizza arrived it was crust and sauce, no cheese!! Thanks for sharing and continued good health to both of you! ❤❤❤
I used to get their pizza, but at their original location in Almont, Michigan, which is still open. I used to go to school with their daughter, Penny, back in the 80's. We both went to Armada schools, which wasn't far from Almont. They also have amazing cakes! My mom always loved their cherry nut cake. We bought them for her birthday several times. It's not every day that you see someone on TH-cam mention a local place, not to mention a great pizza place started by the family you know and have eaten many times! ❤
I guess the original was in Clare, I always thought it was Almont. That's the only one we knew of. Next time I'm in Clare for a visit to Coos & Donuts, I'm going to have to try that Buccillis location. I'd hope their pizza tastes the same as I remember at the Almont location. ❤
A video I missed! I don't know how that happened. When I first discovered your channel I literally binge watched every video. I'm totally with you Tom on the less bread, more pizza. I never eat the crust unless it's stuffed crust. I always order the thin and crispy crust. I can't say I have a favorite topping because I pretty much love them all. Except pineapple but even that I don't hate. My favorite pizza is the meat lovers from Pizza Hut.
What a wonderful recipe. I used to work in a pizza restaurant and learned how to throw dough, which I truly miss doing. I will definitely try this dough. The pizza looks amazing.
We chose to make a simple pepperoni pizza that night, but the crust made it so good. We really did enjoy it. Thank you so much for watching our channel. We really love having you joining us at the table.
What a nice video! I enjoyed watching so much! I think it's so special that you use your moms dough recipe and your childhood friend's moms (Sugar) tip on putting salt on the bottom of the pan! You'll always think of them when you make pizza! 😊
I have tons of recipes handwritten by my Mama and I love getting them out and reading them bc she included tips that would help me make the recipe better. I knew she had made it before and knew what makes it better. She’s no longer with us so I cherish those recipes even more. My favorite place to eat pizza has been closed for years and years. We ate there when I was a child up until I was eleven yrs old. It was Shakey’s Pizza in Monroe, LA. Thirty minutes from Bastrop, LA, my home town. They made pizza in front of a window where we could stand and watch them and the pizza was fantastic! They also had a player piano. That was special. Our entire family would go once each week on Friday or Saturday. Usually Friday night bc my Daddy watched LSU football on Saturday. There was no way he was missing those games and I was with him on that. He instilled that love for his team in me even as a child! Thanks for this pizza recipe. I’m going to try this pizza dough. But when I put my pizza together I gotta cut way back on that sauce! lol
pizza shop tucked back in the elk mall in Gatlinburg Tn., it was an Italian family who spoke very little English but it was wonderful. we speak of it often.
We live in Henry County Georgia. There is a very small restaurant in McDonough GA that has the best Italian food anywhere. It is called Pasta Max. I haven't personally eaten pizza there but everyone I know says it is wonderful. I have to eat low carbs so I usually have their salads that are really great. They make their own crusts and their own pasta. Amazing.
Thanks again for all the great recipes. 😊 My favorite place for pizza is a place called, "Frank's Pizzeria" it's located in Silvis IL. I'm 63 and have been eating there all my life. We live in Missouri and we drive 4.5 hrs to have pizza and visit with friends. The same family still owns and operates the restaurant.
We've never been to Vicenza, but I'd love to go and try it out! Traveling is just such a treat for us. We love exploring the world. Thank you so much for watching our channel. We hope you are having a great night.
Best pizza for me was in a little place in Aguas Calientes, Peru, that sits just below Machu Picchu. It was baked in a wood fired oven. I don't even remember what it had on it, but it could've been the place and friends we were with that made it so special.

My favorite pizza is the ones I make at home. I normally make thin crust, and I make the mini pizzas. Sometimes I will use the naan bread. It makes a really good crust! My favorite toppings, pepperoni, green peppers, mushrooms and green onion tops. I have found it better to put just a little olive oil in the center of the pizza crust then rub it all ovet the crust. (Use just a few drops, but enough to cover the circumference of the dough). I put the pizzas directly in the oven rack. It gets them crispier than an aluminum pan.
Yum! Looks delicious and easy! My favorite toppings are Pepperoni, mushrooms and ground beef with extra cheese! Thanks for sharing! Have a wonderful day!
My favorite pizza places are Larosa’s, Giordano‘s,and Trotta’s pizza. My favorite toppings are pepperoni, bacon, and tomatoes! Love the video, thank you so much!
I recommend Johnny’s Pizza in Monroe Louisiana. There are several other smaller towns that it is in, but you cannot beat Johnny’s original. I have never found the pizza that can touch it. Y’all enjoy!
Detroit style pizza (deep dish) at Buddy's in Michigan is the best. It's a franchise throughout SE Mich. The Pepperoni is baked UNDER the cheese! It was on The Food Network once and if I remember correctly, it was rated in the TOP 3 in the United States. Love your channel.
I live in Suffolk County long Island NY and i grew up in Shirley NY. We had a fantastic pizzeria named Jaime's pizza the owner was frank and he and his son Joe ran the shop. It was very delicious 😋 food from the pizza to other special items. They sold it to someone else and they didn't keep the name. We miss them and the food. We live now in Patchogue Suffolk County long Island NY and we live on Waverly Avenue off exit 52 from sunrise highway south of sunrise highway we have a great place called Alvarez pizzeria. The guys who own it are very nice and very friendly. They are Spanish and Italian and they have some great food and recipes that remind me and my boyfriend of the food we had growing up.
I make my dough in the bread machine! There’s a dough setting and when it’s done I put it in a bowl and let it rise. I had never thought about leaving the edges flat. I always crimp them up and then do the same thing …..eat up to there and throw it away lol. Learned a new thing with that and putting the salt on the bottom. I love pepperoni, olives, onions, mushrooms and cooked crumbled hamburger.
Melissa, a great gift opportunity for Tom and generations to come. Framed in a way paper won't degrade and maybe a small pic of his mom or something...seems so special to him...
I sat down with my elderly mother -in-law and wrote down all her recipes and made little cookbooks for my sister-in-laws. Covered them in one of her old tops she use to wear
I love your streaming videos. I have tried quite a few of your recipes, and I have loved them all. Thank you for sharing. God bless you and your family.
I'm back watching mom's pizza again and with a tip of course. If you ever try refrigerating your dough overnight after mixing it and not rising, you'll find what a wonderful flavor it has. It slow rises in the fridge and the ferment is delish and way easier to work with too. A large deli container is good for it and space saving.
I made this for our dinner tonight and it was delicious. Putting the egg yolk in the dough made it richer than any pizza dough I have had before. I think this will be a staple at our house now. Thanks, Tom and Melissa!
We are in Missouri there’s a place in Branson Star Bar Grill that makes excellent wood fired pizza. We go to Panama City Beach for part of the winter and love Nick’s pizza there.
I love how Tom doesn’t waste anything! I do the same thing because that’s what my Mama did. She scraped off every bowl, spoon, and beaters. Miss her so much.
My fave Pizza place is the (edge) crust!
I scrape everything! It’s what always taught and it’s a waste! So love he scrapes everything!
@@gaylarussell2336 I do religiously; plus a little rinse depending the sitch.
Love your show. I am 81years old. And still learning new things THANK you
Tom the pizza looks perfectly delicious.
So special!
Pizza Hut yum
That is such a sweet idea
I just found your Channel a few months ago, I'm enjoying it very much!!💖😅
That's a beautiful idea!😊
Ahhh Haaaaa
I love that you put the recipe in the description. I don't like it when I have to go to another website for it. Thank you!!
I have made several of your recipes and will continue to do so💕
I would like to make a constructive comment:
Please have your Momma's recipe laminated ❤ precious, precious.
Or put in a protective sleeve. 😊
My daughter took me to a little pizza shop in Lebanon Indiana. Called Greeks Pizza. It was so good. I have since been there three more times.
A little cornmeal scattered on the bottom of the pan is delicious.
I love the ham and pineapple on pizza too. I like veggies ,mushrooms, bell peppers ,Kalakaua olives, l like lots of tomato, sauce too.
That was supposed to be Kalamata olives.
I grew up eating Freddy's pizzeria in Cicero Illinois. I just love their homemade pizza and Italian ice to go with it.
An awesome way to honor your Mother. That looks delicious! Enjoy your day.
Thank you so much! We really enjoyed the pizza. The crust makes a difference.
Caruso's Pizza..in San Diego, Calif..1968...best Italian made pizza I have ever had..nothing has ever compared!!
Are they still in business? San Diego is a city I've not visited but it's definitely on the list!
Yummy 😋 Yes that is called a Danish dough whisk and works great!
when you were taking the raised Pizza Dough out of the oven,
I flashed back to the ep. of "I Love Lucy" when Lucy and Ethyl
made home made bread LOL
Pizza is another of my go to's , I had some for dinner while watching
this. thanks again for inviting us into your home, and Your Kitchen for
another Great recipe my friends 😀
Just want you to know I watch a lot of these shows and without a doubt just from watching you and your wife are the nicest people I have seen on you tube I actually think I could come and sit at your table and would be welcome and feel comfortable. Good job, you do a great cooking channel. God bless you both
1000° degree Wood Fired Pizza, Mt. Summit, Indiana... it is delicious as are the breadsticks... you will not be disappointed!! 🍕
Everyone
really enjoyed
it.❤
These days I love Jet's Detroit Style Pizza with supreme toppings ❤. I also like frozen Tombstone supreme lol better for my budget.
Thank you for sharing your mom's pizza, Tom . Thank you Melissa for the recipe. I love watching your videos and share them with my kids.
I like putting cornmeal on my pizza pan, butI think I want to try your mom’s dough😊
The pizza looks really good. Love that clear glass bowl. I have hand written recipes my Mom gave me in a small wooden recipe box 44 years ago when I got married.
What a lovely tribute to
your Mom. I am fortunate to have my mothers and grandmothers recipe box with a ton of family recipes in their own handwriting. I cherish it dearly since they are no longer with us. Who doesn’t love 🍕!!!
Perhaps photo copy their recipes to create a recipe book to pass on to your children.
@@charlieann456 have done that thanks
Looks delicious and i love how y'all go back in time and create the original recipe. Memories of foods is so unforgettable!
Chef Boyardee makes a pizza dough in a bx with a can of sauce. I used to cook them in 29:01 the 1970s. I love everything on my pizza except onions & jalapeños! We always went to Pizza Hut if we ate out for pizza.
Meant the 1970s.
As I’m watching this I am eating your taco soup. Now I’m going to make pizza next. I love your recipes!
Your pizza recipe looks very interesting. Bless your mom for her pizza and everything she has done.
Next time your in Florida try Merlin’s pizza in Destin. So so yummy the best pizza I’ve ever had and their honey butter pizza is my fav ❤
Oh my yum 🤤
You showed me something tonight that I am definitely going to try. I am 74 years old and I have never seen the cheese on top of the toppings it was always the cheese put down and then the toppings I like the idea very much and I’m going to give it a try I am also going to put salt at the bottom of the pan I also like my sauce edge to edge just like my toast I want the butter edge to edge. Thank you
Mamas Pizza in Omaha, Nebraska......Best pizza ever!
What a lovely honoring of your mother... It looks like a yummy recipe.
Oh, yeah, the food recipes are great too.😄
Favourite pizza place: Main St.
Favourite toppings:
For a bacon cheeseburger pizza I like beef, bacon, motz and cheddar cheese and black olives.
For any ol' pizza a combo of beef, grilled chicken, black olives, green peppers, bacon, mushrooms as well as different kinds of cheeses depending on my mood. Feta cheese is excellent on pizza.
My favorite place to eat pizza is Pizza Hut. Or Pizza Place. They are both delicious.😊
I like the " Sweep the kitchen" pizza from Johnny's in Ruston. La. Second favorite is Billy's Italian in Vicksburg , Mississippi.
Looks so good. I want to try making this. I don't like a dry pizza either so it's really frustrating when i order one with extra sauce but they NEVER put extra sauce so making a homemade one would be perfect for my family. Thank you kindly!
Pasquales pizza in Newport, KY! YUM!!!
I have to say I just love when Tom has his first bite haha also I love how you have your mums old hand written recipes I have a few of those too I love them
Lou Malnati’s in the Chicago area has the best pizza, deep dish or thin crust. They will ship it to you. I order it quite often!
STILL, LOVE BEING AT THE TABLE HERE WITH TOM & MELISSA
😊💙🙏✝️🙌
Great idea! The fact that it's in her handwriting does indeed make it extra special.
I came here to say this.
You can also have it printed out in her writing on a breadboard. @@comesitatmytable9044
Having your Mother's hand written recipes are priceless ❤😊I love pepperoni pizza my favorite
We agree. It is nice to see her writing when we pull out her recipes. It's a lesson for us all. Thank you so much for watching our channel.
Mama's handwriting...priceless ❤
Recipies written from our loved ones who passed on is a treasure in our hearts.
What a nice video! I enjoyed watching so much! I think it's so special that you use your moms dough recipe and your childhood friend's moms (Sugar) tip on putting salt on the bottom of the pan! You'll always think of them when you make pizza! 😊
TH-cam needed your show for the home cooks!!! ❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦
I love how you cherish your mom's recipe!
Brother’s Ristorante in Beacon, NY on Main St. Their Grandma’s pizza is amazing!! 🍕🍕🍕
I love pizza ❤ and the best pizza I have eaten was in Vicenza Italy. We lived there for two years the Italian’s makes the best pizza ever.

Pizza is my most favorite food ever. I love a good homemade pizza. Never have made my own crust though. Can’t wait to try this recipe.
Ahhhh the suspense grows. lol love homemade pizza.
thanks for the salt hack.
I love watching your channel & all your recipes. Thank you so very much.
The bread machine is certainly a trick. We appreciate that you are watching our channel. Hope you are having a good night.
My favorite pizza is from Fun House
Pizza in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Suburb of Kansas City. I have loved their pizza since the late 1960s. Yummy!
